I can’t say enough good things about Michael. My house was an older home and to say the least presented quite a few challenges regarding the electrical work. Michael was easy to reach and came out that weekend to give me an estimate after only emailing him a day or two before. If there were changes in his schedule he was always quick to shoot me a text letting me know. Despite all the complications, he kept coming back until the work was done and had kept it within the estimate that was given. He is also one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and in this day that is hard to find. I highly recommend Michael to anyone needing electrical work done, and he will definitely be the first person I call if I need anymore work done.

I hired Steven's Electrical after seeing he had high reviews. He seemed to be a reliable person in previous years, but I guess recently he must have lost his mind. Like Rachael Belke, who wrote a review only a month ago, Mike Stevens demanded increments of $7500 down to initiate the job. He stated he had one job he had to finish in 10 days, he could start on my project, which would take him an estimated 6 weeks. Then finish it after he was done with his one project. He showed up for a few days as agreed then went off to do his other job. Once back he only came to work one or two days a week, then one or two days a month, taking other jobs. He promised to provide me a breakdown of all parts and time worked as I don't live locally. He soaked me for over $20k After demanding another $7500 payment he worked a couple of days and walked off the job with my money and has not refunded it nor provided reciepts or a breakdown of hours worked. I'm left not knowing if he did $7k or $15k worth of work. Hes a fast talker, he talks the talk but does not walk the walk. I'm sure he feels with a high number of good reviews he no longer has to treat people professionally. I myself and a licensed contractor in Texas, and an Army veteran with over 30 years of military service and multiple combat tours. Integrity means everything to me. This man touts integrity and professionalism but his actions show otherwise.

He was very thorough with his estimate and when I decided to contract him for the electrical job I needed done, he immediately scheduled me in sooner than any other contractor I had talked to. Not the person you want to trust. You will be mislead and the final invoices will be a multiplier of the original estimate. You will be paying for the lunch hour and break time so please factor that in when you get a the estimate. Good luck.

I woke up early on a Saturday freezing. Half my house had lost power, including the furnace. After spending hours thinking I could figure it out myself, I finally realized I needed a professional. Luckily Stevens was on top of the list of electricians available. Because I couldn't have had better service, or a better price. Immediately came and diagnosed I was only getting half my power from the meter. And before going further, Mike wired my heater and refrigerator among the half of the house was getting power. Once realizing it was a problem by the LES meter, he called and coordinated with them and had them working in it within an hour. Could've been a nightmare, but luckily it ended up being a problem that wasn't too far from their meter, and got fixed that day. LES was very friendly and helpful too. Mike also didn't charge me for the extra time to get my microwave among the working part of the breaker box, and also made sure water heater and everything else was functioning safely. Thank you again Mike!

I sent Michael an email late in the evening and to my surprise, he answered it! I wasn't expecting a reply until the following morning. Two days later Michael was at the house in the morning and took care of my electrical needs. He picked out the replacement lights and his expertise was spot on! The lights look great in the house. I will be using Stevens Electrical Services again within the next couple of weeks for another project.

I don’t feel safe in my home knowing that he broke our contract, did not complete the job and we had to find another electrician. I take great honor in my word and following through. A few months ago, when I called him to say we are ready to finish the outlets, he said he couldn’t because we didn’t put in our peninsula counter area- I told him we are moving in and that for this time we are holding off the investment of having a peninsula due to finances. He said he would not until we completed everything and that inspection could only happen if the peninsula was in place. That was the first time he told us something like that and From our perspective , he didn’t care to fulfill his contract and make $200 of three hundred that was left of our contract. He was difficult to reach, for weeks on end, so this type of behavior wasn’t new or surprising. Flash forward to now- we have been living in our home for months, the inspector came a week and a half after Stevens electric broke the contract, and we found someone else who wouldn’t yell of talk down to us. We found a electrician that understands that we hired him for his profession and education in electrical- and we are just homeowners. It wasn’t a problem at all for the inspector to survey our house with or without a peninsula in the kitchen. In summary, some of the outlets don’t work, and we regret ever going to Stevens electric, and won’t make that mistake again. Had I read a review like this, I would have steered clear. Honesty, I am little afraid of retaliation from him but I don’t what another homeowner like to have to go through this.

I had nothing but a great experience with this company! My power went out and LES had already been out twice and still the power wasn’t working so I was calling around to many electric companies and even had one company tell me they’d come to help after a football game and then didn’t call me until the next day! Steve was amazing came out and fixed the problem the same day even went out to get the part he needed at came back at 10 pm to get it all fixed since I had no heat! I would recommend him to anyone!!

For our kitchen remodel he added an electrical outlet in the island for a microwave and installed an outlet for the stove. We called Mike on a Saturday to work on an intermittent circuit breaker problem which had escalated to a frequent problem. He worked methodically and logically to isolate and identify why the circuit breaker kept tripping. He resolved the issue in one visit where another company had been unsuccessful in two visits. We just moved into a new house and we lost power in half our basement on a Sunday night. Stevens was the only emergency electrician to call me back (out of four). He was fast, polite, and took the time to show me a few things he noticed about our new house. He didn’t have to do that. I do think the price/hr was a bit high, but he said since I paid for an hour of service he would be happy to spend that hour checking things out for me since it only took him about 15 minutes to fix the problem.
