I hired Modern Electric to upgrade my service to 200 Amps. They came promptly to give me an estimate, which was competitive to others that I got. In addition they were available to do the work within a few weeks. The work was completed and I am pleased with the results. I would definitely hire them again.

I found modern electric on Angie's list when researching local companies who could give me a quote on a few jobs we needed done. They got right back to me and set up an appointment to estimate the job. I met with Danny the owner who was prompt and honest about timing..he said the work would be a few weeks out as they were booked. His quote was sent within a day or two and was very fair, seemed more reasonable than a few audio/ home theatre companies I contacted ( to hide wires and install outlets behind the 2 TVs.). We did lose contact over the July 4th holiday but Danny reached out personally to reschedule and allowed us to break up the job into 2 visits as I had booked another home improvement job ahead of him during the hiatus. His guys showed up this morning at 7 on the dot. They described exactly what they needed to do to solve our unsightly wires hanging from the bedroom tv and got to work. They were done by 8:30, patched up the wall and cleaned up the debris. I reported to Danny right away that they did a great job and I booked the second visit. They know their stuff, I'm confident the work is done right while solving the aesthetic issues. I'm looking forward to hiring them again.

Wires came down during the storm. With so many without power and limbs down, I thought it would take a long time to find someone to come out. I contacted a few places including Modern Electric. They had me text pics of the damage and gave me an estimate via text. I had also gotten another estimate via text which was much higher than Modern Electrics. Someone came out from Modern not long after and looked at the damage and actually estimated a lower price than they said via text. Within a few hours, electricians were here to put the wires back up. Very fast, very professional and very well priced! Very highly recommended!!!

Modern Electric is fantastic. We had them out to our house recently and couldn’t be more impressed and satisfied. Was easy from scheduling the estimate, to scheduling the work, and completing it! The guys that worked with us were very nice, respectful and tidy. We put recessed lighting in our bedrooms and I could not be happier with the result. Modern Electric was doing some work across the hall in our Condo and I asked them if they could do some work for me. They contacted me back as to when they would be available and I scheduled a time with them. They came as planned and were delightful to work with. They replaced a socket for me in my kitchen lights and then replaced a light stripe in the bathroom. When they realized the new stripe required different bulbs than I had, they offered to get them for me. They were back in no time and got everything working. Very professional and competent. Just great to work with!

We just bought our first home in Tewksbury in July and hated how the power lines were hanging over our driveway. I wanted those lines put under ground so I called around to get some estimates from a few local electricians. No luck with any of them. So I did a search online for electricians in Wilmington. I found MODERN ELECTRIC and gave them a call. Danny from MODERN ELECTRIC had no problem coming over to look at my house. He had an estimate emailed to me with Ina couple of days. The cost was very reasonable. I wasn't in a rush to have it done so I let Danny know he can start it when ever it was convenient for them to start. Danny made sure dig safe came to mark the yard, all the permits were pulled, as well as the work that was done right way no delays. One day to dig and lay the conduit. One day to pave the driveway. One day to run the power lines and switch the power over. These guys are fast, professional, and know what they are doing! I found an electrician that I can trust and feel comfortable with working on my house.

During the storm I had a short in my electrical panel that tripped one of the breakers. My wife and I tried resetting the GFCI receptacles in the house and circuit breaker and couldn't solve the issue. I called at 9:00am Time got an electrician in my house by 2:30pm. Justin was professional courteous and corrected the issue quickly. Highly recommend.
