Homewiz relocated wires for my television. They ran wires through the wall to hide the installation of a wall mount TV. The workers were incredibly clean and respectful of the inside of the home.

These guys came over to inspect my AC. They wanted to charge an arm and a leg. Stay away from this guys, they have no clue about anything. So sorry I didn't see more reviews on the web, people are right warning about these guys.

I had an emergency in the middle of December and HomeWiz was able to help me diagnose and ultimately replace my heating system within a few days. They were very thorough and even made sure I had some heating lamps for the one night I had to spend without heat (while waiting for parts in the morning). A very knowledgable team and would highly recommend their work.

HomeWiz was exactly what I needed. I had a 40-year old oven range and hood that I needed to replace. Home Depot wouldn’t install new units. I had no idea what to order. HomeWiz took care of it - sat next to me on a laptop and made suggestions of what would work, and made sure the oven range I liked would fit in the space. Then they did a challenging installation that involved adjusting the cabinets so that I could replace my old drop-in oven with a slide-in model, and adding a recessed hood fan. Oh, and while they were here, they were able to add some recessed lights to my dark kitchen. Basically a mini-kitchen remodel on very short notice, and with minimal stress. I’m thrilled.

I had some issues with a family members apartment outside of Boston. We had some issues with the heat being on the fritz and multiple clogged drains in the the rental. I searched around and found HomeWiz. Owner was extremely nice and easy to deal with. The were quick and very professional. I would definitely use their services again in the future!

We recently worked with Howard and Dan on what appeared to be a straightforward problem that should have been fixed by the replacement of an old electrical panel. They came back multiple times to resolve an issue that ended up being with a common area electrical trough. We really appreciated their tenacity since my 80+ year old mother lives in the unit. Very thorough and knowledgeable.

My heat went out this winter and Homewiz was the only service that offered to come out that day. It was extremely easy to set up an appointment over the phone, and my request was responded to immediately. I find this pretty rare for home services in the Boston area - guys I've spoken with in the past have just seemed to work from their cell phones, so this was a refreshing change of pace. Howard and Dan came out to my place. They both seemed extremely knowledgeable when it comes to HVAC and more importantly, they walked me through the steps that they were taking. They listed all of my options for me, and helped me to figure out that I didn't want the cheapest or most expensive option. I chose to replace a bad part and give my system a tuneup whereas I had neglected doing so since my furnace was installed. This was right in my price range and they gave me the price before picking up a tool so I knew exactly how much is would be at the end. They were done within a few hours and were professional throughout the entire process. I'd hire them again any day.

I liked the service. The guys were nice to work with. They listened to me which was a big deal. Other contractors I have hired did not listen and the project suffered because of that. The quality of the workmanship seemed good too. They came everyday until my kitchen was complete. I liked that. I'm going to have them back for additional work.

# On Apr 25, I wrote the following review for a service by H.O. Services of HomeWiz, and rated 2 stars: Furnace is not working properly. The Three man team came on time, but before doing anything, I have to pay the diagnosis fee, which is $882. After 10-20 minutes diagnosis, I was told I need new thermostat and wires, and it is another $550 or so. Not sure how much people pay on average for job like this, but I would think it is too much! So I decided to find other people to help me fix the problem. In the end, I paid $882 and still don't have anything fixed yet. My bad, I should read Google reviews more carefully. # I just changed the 2 star rating to 1 star since the horrible thing happened after I wrote the above review on Google Only 5 to 10 minutes after I wrote the 2 star review, I received a phone call from a man claiming to be the manager of H. O. Services. He yelled at me and threatened me: ''this is about the negative review you just posted, you have 10 minutes to delete the review, or I will report you to the city that you have a brand new kitchen but without a permit. Yes I checked, you don't have a permit for your kitchen, if you don't delete the negative review, I will report you to the city.'' He repeated for several times and yelled '''Do you understand?!' I didn't want to respond to people like this so all I asked was "what is you name?" But he refused to give his name. I was shocked, don't know what to say. First of all, I regretted that I invited these workers to my house. While they are in my house, they saw I have a brand new kitchen, somehow assumed that I don't have a permit for it, and later used it against me. Second, the funny thing is, I do have a permit!! The the final inspection of the kitchen renovation was done a few weeks ago, so the permit on the door was removed by the inspector. I was shocked, deeply upset, and furious!!! Since I posted the 2 star review about 20 minutes after the H.O. Services guy left, and this phone call was 5 to 10 minutes after the review. I would guess it is one of the manager who came to my house. So I called HomeWiz's Belmont office to find out who just intimidated and threatened me. I called twice but only got another call from a different guy claiming that he is 'the other manager of H.O. Services'. At first I though his was going to apologize for horrible behavior of his colleague. NO, he just said ''delete the review or we will report you to the city', and again he refused to tell me what is his name. I called Homewiz's Belmont office to get the receipt for the 'diagnosis service' and I was told someone would call me back, but I haven't got anyone from Homewiz to contact me since then, not mentioning any sign of apology. Till this day, My wife and I are still deeply upset and furious and we couldn't believe this is happening.

Homewiz was able to detect issues that I have been having with this system for the past 3 years, other companies tried and could not figure it out. I feel very confident that if you call Homewiz you will be very happy with there expertise and work ethic. I love the approach that they take, they walk you through the logic step by step and what each procedure will cost so you are not in the dark and not surprised with your final bill. I will be sure to call Homewiz the next time I have any HVAC issues or if I just need to have yearly service.

I called in today, desperately looking for help with my heating, and Dan did an amazing job guiding me with the process! Dan was so patient, so kind, he absolutely went step by step in letting me know what my issue was with my furnace. He was so knowledgeable and I cannot thank him enough for all of his help. I had the pleasure of working with Dan and Howie. I originally called for a new doorbell and the service and appointment were easy to schedule. They gave me a clear understanding of my doorbell options and replaced it very efficiently. While replacing they noticed how my dryer had been vented. They were very cautious about pointing it out, clearly not wanting to "upsell" me but showed me the danger of how it was not vented to code. When they opened it up it was stuffed with lint--our electric bill was high, our clothes took forever to dry but when I saw the vent, I knew a fire could have started anytime. Honestly, their awareness may have saved lives. They revented the dryer that day to my huge relief and the job was superb. I know I will use them for all electrical/ HVAC needs moving forward. And they were just really nice guys.

OK, contractors can't be trusted right?? NO WAY. I called Homewiz the other day to fix my heat an electrical plug. They came out right away, fixed everything right there and then. The guy asks me for $200. Amazing and cheap. I heard I would have to pay maybe $500 from my neighbors. Guess what neighbors, call Homewiz

Run as fast as you can. Even when I asked them to replace a part, I gave them the part name and model, they said that they have to come and analyze the problem. The technician quoted me for labor and part $780 for a part that cost $180. You decide if this company is fair.

HomeWiz came out to work on an electrical box in my kitchen. They charged me $880 for a "level three diagnostic" of the box, plus to look at the wiring in a ceiling fan. They then charged me $550 to ground the electrical box. They charged me for all work before they even began, and asked md to write a good review of their work before it was completed. I deeply regret having ever called this company. Please see their reviews on Yelp.

Beware! HomeWiz is operated under the same license as HO Services. (MA License #13852A belonging to Howard Ovens) Their address is the same address that HO Services used to advertise. Look at the Yelp reviews for HO services before you risk involvement with this electrician. Read about the threats and dishonesty. Don't be a victim.

I find the 530$ "diagnostic" to be extravagant when they told me I would be best served by a full cleaning which is another 500$. but! if I get on the mailing list I may get a 50% off deal that will come in the spring. Then I get an advertising email (a week later) telling me a full cleaning that would involve taking it all apart would only be 118$ I would rather gotten the $118 full cleaning and then if that didn't work let them work for 28 minutes for another 500$... Maybe not...

About a month ago I needed to replace our ceiling light with a fan in our living room with vaulted ceilings. Im a handy guy, just not that handy. I reached out to HomeWiz for a quote and i was able to get an appointment right away. Dan and Howard came in and took care of it in about an hour. The price was great and they did a great job. I didnt have an electrician i could rely on before, but i do now.

Had H.A. English do a new boiler in my house and had Homewiz do the electrical connections. Install looks great, and it has been running perfectly throughout this extremely cold winter. I also had Joey and Stevie put in a 4-gang backbox and hook up a dimmer for a new set of lights while they were here. These days, quality work is hard to come by, so I'm glad I found this team. Next up... Air Conditioning... but I might have to wait until at least spring to think about that!

I would give a 0 star if I could. The experience I had makes me so angry that I hope others won’t have to go through with it again. The call center was fine but the two guys sent out to fix my AC were horrible. Full of attitude, lied about my repair that cost me $1000, tried to pressure me into paying for another repair on the spot which I denied bc that’s not how you do business, and when I tried to ask for a change of staff, they wouldn’t and wrote me an angry email. I called another company, those guys found the issue in 30 min, where the issue was so obvious that they told me these homewiz guys were lying and being shady. Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews.

Stay clear of this company. We had them in to examine our HVAC unit. They intimidated my mother into writing them a check for a service call for $862 before they even examined the extent of the work. That turned up being 6 times what our other HVAC contractor charged us. The work was not completed no invoice was provided when they left. When we tried to remedy the situation by reaching out to management via phone and Facebook, we received no response at all. Shameful, deceptive business tactics for a company that supposedly prides itself on great customer service. Update: we contacted the Attorney General's office and they provided us with several voice recordings that were made by HomeWiz of my mother and my wife without their consent. Again, stay away from this company. They are still harassing us a year later.

Great company! I was looking into Nest thermostats and who installs them in Brookline and stumbled across this company. They came out and determined that I did not have a common wire to power Nest. They gave me a price to run new wires but also other thermostats that would work with my current system. I now can control my thermostat, lights and window shades all from my phone! Super slick! Their team is incredibly professional, I had an issue with one of the shades 2 weeks after and they sent a tech out that day to make it right under warranty!
