The technicians were extremely respectful and it was easy to book with them. They gave me a 2 hour window, unlike most places that give a wider range, so I didn't have to take much time off of work. Horrendous experience. I first called and was forwarded to an answering service where they just took my name and number. I got a call back not too long after. The guy on the phone was a technician, I asked for an itemized quote for how much it would take to install a Nest thermorstat. I mentioned that I was missing a C wire, he replied in a condescending tone "well how do you know that?" I replied by saying that my regular hvac guy had a look before hand and that's what he said, to which he replied "we'll why didn't he take care of it then?" (my hvac guy doesn't do electrical work. I pushed just for a quote and said he'd let me know when he'd get there. I asked for a ballpark, he said $200. I asked him to break it down or itemize it. That's when I could tell he was starting to get irritated. He said, I gave you a ballpark, bye and hung up on me. He calls back a moment later telling there are other options than a nest thermostat, I tried to clear the tension and just say that I wanted to understand what I was getting charged for, he then broke it down and said that I should already know that because I was told when I first called the forwarding center (I wasn't). Against my better judgement I agreed to sending a technician to do an assessment. The technician got there quickly, quoted me $1,200 dollars to run a new wire (I have a finished basement), then a "cheaper" alternative for $880, or.. that's when he started a sales pitch for myhomewiz (had the logo on his van). I ended up paying the $59 for them showing up and I was done.

After months of calling various electricians and not getting a single return phone call I finally found HO electric and saw that I could schedule an appointment online (even for the same day if I had wanted) so I set up an appointment for the next day. They came on time (slightly early actually but they called to make sure that was ok first) and had an estimate written out in an hour or so. The estimate had 5-7 different options of service at various price points. We most certainly had options. The work we needed done took two visits to complete and was done start to finish in under 3 days. We have a very old house so completing any project in 3 days is a miracle! We had a dryer rewired to be up to code, new dryer electrical and vent run, surge and lightning protection installed for the entire house and new hoses installed on our washer. Shortly after the work was completed we noticed a slight drip from a pipe near my washer (part of the work we had done was replacing the hoses to the washer) and I wasn't sure where it was coming from. I gave HO a call and they came out next day to fix the issue. It didn't matter that the drip was coming from an old valve, they came out no questions asked and fixed the problem in less than 5 minutes. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants to have work done quickly and with minimal hassle. Literally the only thing I would change is to itemize the receipt/ work order instead of just showing the quoted price, but that's all. Everything else was easy and fast. And now we finally have a fully functioning laundry room!

The work was done quickly; however, the price was exorbitant! Some of the brackets holding the lighting have already broken (it’s been a month). Unless you want to pay triple what you should, find someone else.

Good communication about pricing and work. They fixed our bathroom fan, advised about a ceiling fan, and told us we should change our entire electrical system. I felt no pressure and better informed of the electrical system in our house. The price is rather high, but the communication around the pricing is good.

I had a case of a tripping breaker in my fairly new house. A couple of electricians arrived and diagnosed the problem as a dead short. They quoted me a price of $462, what seems to be very high for checking wires on a few wall sockets and a panel, so I did not take them. Still they collected the $59 service call fee. This questionable tactics of making the customer either pay the service call fee for nothing or paying the sky high price for a job is the reason I'm giving them one star. I recommend looking elsewhere to avoid bad taste afterwards.

Amazing company! I was interested in installing a smart thermostat to control my heat and ac from my phone and stumbled across this company. I now can control my thermostat, lights and window shades all from my phone! Their team is incredibly professional, I had an issue with one of the shades 2 weeks after and they sent a tech out that day to make it right under warranty!
