Rich was dispatched to our home early this morning upon the realization that our washing machine's waste-water exit pipe was clogged and back-flowing onto our washroom floor on the second floor. Needless to say that wasn't a pleasant surprise in the pouring rain we were having. Roughly 30 minutes after calling their office, Rich arrived and put on booties to keep our home's floor neat and clean amidst the work debris and the muck from the outside rainstorm! There were also a few other minor issues which we had slated for some other time projects, but decided to address them at that time too with Rich since he was very knowledgeable. Rich worked with us to come up with a solution that was affordable as they offer financing, to our surprise! After completion of the work, he took the opportunity to explain some things that he identified in our home such as water shut-offs etc, did a walk through inspection of the various items he fixed. The other thing that Rich did that was well ABOVE and beyond, was that he personally removed the sopping wet area rug the previous owners had in the home, so that it could dry out and wouldn't mildew or mold and then wiped the linoleum floor that was beneath it clean with cleaner and hand dried it. We couldn't be happier with the work, the solutions, his professionalism, and his ability to come in slightly under the estimated costs of repairs (based on a few worst case projections) that he was able to avoid! I would recommend Heritage and specifically Rich to anyone in the area.

Part 1: Please read full review before calling Heritage. One star is too many for Heritage in my experience. I called heritage after seeing billboards all over in Massachusetts for their business. They were on radio as well so I thought why not call someone big who can handle the problem. My steam boiler wasn't sending any steam to the radiators so I made an appointment for them to come down. I also specifically told Heritage that my boiler system is old and they need to send someone with that type of experience. They assured me that it will be taken care of and booked me for a Thursday between 10am to 12 pm. So I took a day off and waited for the technician to show up. Once the clock went pass 1230 pm I called up Heritage and asked where my technician was? They told me that he was stuck on another service call and would be there in an hour or so. (Stuck on another call?? I thought I was the service call he was suppose to attend). Well, 4 pm hit on the clock and I called Heritage again and asked where my technician was and they said he is on the way. After waiting until 5 pm I left to run errands and told my wife who is taking care of a 8 month baby that not to let the technician in when I am not in the house. The technician finally showed up around 530 pm and my wife refused him entry to the house. Next day, I called Heritage and We booked another appointment which was a week later. This time the same technician named Martin is right on time at 8 am. Great!!! After doing some simple diagnostics (which I did as well by watching YouTube videos ) he tells me that there could be a number of things wrong and he doesn't actually know what's wrong. Martin charges me $100 for diagnostics tests for which I m baffled because he didn't diagnose anything. Then Martin tells me that I should look into having split systems installed in the house and set up an appointment with a sales person. The salesperson showed up the same evening. (same evening and they rather have me wait a week for a technician ??) The salesperson name was Dexter. After talking to Dexter and letting him look at the boiler, he tells me that I don't need no split systems and this boiler can be fixed. He went on to apologize on behalf of Martin and said that Martin didn't know what he was talking about? Even though Dexter told me that they only hire the best of the best to work for them. Really???!! We made another appointment for a technician to visit and Ryan the technician showed up to the appointment. I got to talking with Ryan and told him about the visit by Dexter and the conversation we had and Ryan tells me "Dexter doesn't know what he is talking about". After looking at the boiler he finally finds the problem and tells me that the boiler needs cleaning and I saw that it did need cleaning. He tells me it will cost me $900 for the cleaning. I didn't have much choice so I agreed and he got started on the cleaning. After 1-2 hours of cleaning he got the boiler to start and the steam radiator started to get hot and produce heat. Awesome!!! But wait, now he tells me that the burner is producing high level of carbon monoxide and the burner needs to be replaced. Ryan quoted me $1700 for a burner. I did a quick check on google and found the burners for $500-700 range. But I wanted safety for my family and I wanted someone with the knowledge to do the job so I agreed to have Heritage order and install the burner. Once ordered, Ryan turns off the complete heat of the house as it's not safe because CO level in the chimney is extremely high and I agree to turn off the heat and live off of electric heaters for time being. Ryan tells me he won't be able to do it today and sets an appointment for two days later for a different technician to install the burner. I agreed. 2 days later, I called up Heritage again because the technician hadn’t showed up and told me that they can’t find the burner. At this point I cancelled the order with Heritage. Read b4 call. Update: Heritage reached out to me and offered a partial credit on the cleaning they did on my boiler.

Paid the dispatch fees ($89) and sent back the plumber in 5 minutes. To fix a leaky faucet, I was given two options: -Fix the water valve, $350 + $150 (The $150 was to drain the water out!!) -Replace the water valve $1000 One has to be in a dire state, to take help from these folks.

I hired Heritage to repair a toilet leak as part of selling a condo. I was not able to be on site and the realtor met the plumber to let him in. Make sure Heritage calls you BEFORE they do the work with an estimate as they are supposed to, instead of doing additional work that is not authorized by you and you get stuck with the bill. Instead of calling me to let me know what needed to be done the plumber told me the realtor authorized it which I later found wasn't true. She was encouraged to call me. The total bill to fix the leak was $466.00! The minute I complained he took the toilet seat off and the bill was $351.00. The plumber was going to install a new toilet seat and charge me for it. When I heard the amount to fix the leak - he took the toilet seat cost off. Make sure you let them know that the person paying is the person who has authorization to work with the plumber.

I was beyond pleased with this company. I had received an appt time between 10-1, at 9:30 got a call to notify me that the technician was still at last call so would be the latter part of the timeframe. At 11:10 received a call the tech was on his way 30 min as promised. He was very thorough, needed a jumper wire for my brand new thermostat ( never came with it, hence no a.c) he looked over the whole system and a good thing he did as last year my a.c had stopped working and I used another company to fix, and well let's just say, it wasn't wired properly which would have caused my compressor to go had we hit a heat wave. I will be recommending this company to everyone I knows the are beyond affordable, knowledgeable and thorough. That is hard to find this day and age

My mother was having the vinyl floor in her kitchen replaced and needed the gas appliances disconnected. She uses Heritage to service her gas burners so she called them. Dave is the man they sent out. He was real friendly and explained everything that he was going to do for the money they were charging. When it was time to hook everything back up Dave came out again. This time we asked him about a leaky valve we had, he said he could take care of it that same day while he was there. That saved my mother the charge for another call, he even had the part on the truck. He kept everything neat and clean, a top notch man whose been at it a long time. Josh Greenleaf from Heritage Plumbing came in to replace my water heater and fix the shower faucet. Josh explained everything that was going to happen how long and cost. Disappointed! We've used you in the past for our HVAC needs. You should stick with that. Your crew couldn't fix a minor pipe blockage telling us it was ice build-up in a drain and we needed a hydro-jetter. We called a competitor and he fixed it in ten minutes with the same type of "snake" your crew used. And, it was not ice but food. You also quoted nearly $500 to make the repair and only charged half when unsuccessful. Your competitor charge $160. We had to pay you $225 to be told you couldn't do a simple repair. We shouldn't have to pay to teach your staff basic problem solving. If I could rate you no stars, I would.

Plumber was very nice and respectful and efficient. Price was absurd for 20 minutes of total work. $400 to replace a valve in the shower faucet that cost $35.00 and took him 6 minutes. Charged $415 to replace kitchen faucet, took 13 minutes, I guess those TV commercials cost a lot of money.

Stay away from these guys. They are real hucksters. Tried to sell me a $80 off-the-shelf switching relay for $500!!! Then when I told the guy I would never pay $500 for a switching relay (which requires about 20 minutes to install) he offered to take $100 off his price if I supplied the part! In other words, he was making me the "wonderful" offer to charge me only $1200/hr for his installation time!!! Called the sales manager and he was smug, lecturing, defensive and TOTALLY unhelpful. I would NEVER do business with this company ever again. It's highway robbery!! Noting the further false responses from the so-called "Service Manager" below, I thought it would be prudent to add that what he says are lies. The tech arrived and worked for approximately 90 minutes before ever quoting me the price. It was only AFTER he had uninstalled my existing relay that he quoted me the price of around $500 for a standard Honeywell relay that I just bought from Lowes for $80. The "Service Manager" went on-and-on on the phone about how it was like how a restaurant charges a lot more than the food cost for its dishes. Unfortunately, this "Service Manager" has NO IDEA what he is talking about. In a restaurant, a professional chef prepares the food with lots of other ingredients, it is then served in a pleasing environment, and there is service from waiters, busboys, maitre d, and sometimes the owner and chef. NONE of these things happen here. A tech spends 20 minutes installing a standard, off-the-shelf part to which the tech adds NO VALUE WHATSOEVER, and for that "service" these hucksters add $400 to the price of an $80 part!!! For 20 minutes of work that comes to $1200/hr. "Highway robbery" would be a kind way of phrasing it. Based on the fact that they DO NOT tell you up front how much it will cost, but only after 90 minutes of wasted time during which the tech accomplished nothing other than uninstalling my existing relay which I told him to put back, I would say "bait-and-switch" and virtual fraud would be more descriptive terms for the services that this company provides. Stay away from Heritage if you don't want to be massively ripped off and have your time wasted!

The work done by Heritage exceeded Dexter's promises. Their employees wore booties on our rugs and cleaned up everything, inside and out. Better than when they arrived! They explained all the workings of the heat pumps. The units were carefully placed on the inside and the outside ductwork and unit look great. The electrical work was neat and professional. We couldn't be happier with Heritage. Especially with this crew of Scott, Jonathon, and the electrician (I've forgotten his name).

Very disappointed in this company... Seriously considering a new Central Air Conditioning system, had a sales person come to my house. First, they require a 90 minute consultation, which I was ok with. However, during the consultation the sales rep was so interested in asking his questions and taking me through "their sales process" he was asking the questions but not listening to my answers. Found myself answering the same exact same questions multiple times... Then they tried the "hard sell" of they have an opening tomorrow to do the installation but had not given me pricing. When I said no and that I would like to see the numbers first, he insisted that he come again for a quotation presentation. I asked for a quotation to be sent via email, he pushed for 20 minutes to do the presentation, which I asked for a quotation via email first. After the 20mins, he finally agreed to emial me numbers. Three days later, I get an email saying he will not give me numbers without coming to my house for a presentation first. Just completely unprofessional and waste of time.

First, we don’t write a lot of reviews but we wanted to make sure this got posted, as far too often, a majority of reviews people post for anything are just bad and a lot of people that get good service don’t bother writing in. Ryan from Heritage was terrific! He had not only been servicing other customers all day, when we asked Heritage to have somebody come look at our heating problem tonight, he was here and even though it was close to his quitting time, he stayed until the problem was fixed and that over 2 hours past his shift. He was pleasant, professional and thorough and went well over what he needed to do and can’t thank him enough! Heritage, you have some tremendous folks and Ryan was a true professional.

I've had a problem with my water heater not lasting when taking showers. I've had many other companies tell me there is nothing wrong with my boiler or water tank, yet I never had enough water. Finally I got a professional. The customer service was excellent. They told me up front a cost for the tech to come, scheduled me reasonable soon, called prior to coming out. The tech who came was very knowledgeable. He even used my owners manual to point out the problem and explain it to me. After he explained it, it all makes sense now. I can rest comfortably knowing nothing is wrong but I can improve it if I want to. I will definitely be using heritage for all my heating issues in the future

It was a pleasure to trust Joshua of Heritage Plumbing with my water heater replacement and my kitchen renovations including new sink, faucet, garbage disposal, dishwasher, and ice-maker. There was a sizable amount of work in a small space with some creative challenges. Joshua was able to assess my desires, and come up with logical and neat solutions. He kept me in the loop as the job progressed and we planned out my necessary carpentry steps between visits. He was professional, prompt, and cared about the little details. A week ago I had an old leaky heater; today, I have a whole new kitchen. Worth the investment to get it all done right. Thanks Josh!
