I called and the lady asked for my name I gave her my name, then I told her that I don't want to provide full last name (I could have lie and give some wrong name). I said I will give an address, so someone will come and give a quote. She hang up saying that we cannot pull the permit without information. What permit without the quote??. Rude, very rude.

Harland Electric has been doing work in my home for many years. They are the only electricians I will have do work in my home. They come on time, are courteous and professional. Their prices are more than reasonable. Several years ago I decided to get a standby generator for my home. They helped me with the purchase of a Generac unit and they installed it, which they now maintain on a yearly basis. They did a great job. They are very responsive to your phone calls.

Terrific service. Reliable, honest people. Very responsive to me after a storm pulled out my power supply. Detailed excellent work. Did what they promised. Reasonable charge. Followed through with a second visit to complete - something often promised and rarely done by other tradespeople. Clean and tidy work. I also used them to put a sub-panel and complex wiring to a basement studio about twelve years ago with never a problem from start to today. Except I had to call them out to replace a blown interrupt tripped by lightning with the same good work.

I needed my entire house re-wired since it had aluminum wire throughout. Harland Electric gave me a time/materials estimate of $13,600 for my 4 bedroom colonial with full basement. They estimated five days to complete the job. They also told me I could save money by reducing the time to do the job by moving furniture away from the walls, and opening the channel from the basement to the attic ahead of them. They also suggested that I purchase the materials for them to use as an additional cost savings. The crew called me the day before they were scheduled to begin to check in and let me now when they would be arriving. They arrived on time each day and all of the crew members were pleasant and hard working. They finished the job in FOUR days, and their total cost was $8600 (plus the $300 of wire I purchased). They did a clean and great job. Their final price ended up being the lowest of all the bids I received (I did not choose the lowest bidder). I recommend Harland Electric completely. They were great. I can't remember a contractor that impressed me more with their good communications, pleasant work crews and quality work. If you need to have electrical work done you should definitely consider Harland Electric. Being really happy with a contractor isn't always about money. In this case they WERE the lowest cost, but I still would have been happy with them even at the higher price.

Hired Harland to upgrade my panel. They showed up, did the work, and I paid them as they left. The next day I noticed they didn't install an outlet next to the panel--they must have missed the extension cord that was necessary to power the broadband modem next to the panel. I called, and the owner responded acknowledged that they missed this, that an outlet should have been installed. A follow up date was scheduled. Nobody showed up, or called. I get an apology and another date. Same thing. After three calls, they finally show up and finish the work they were supposed to do and is required by code.

Harland allowed me to send them pictures in an effort to assess whether we could limit the scope of the effort. When the time to do the work came they took care of everything. Office was easy to reach. I would work with them again.
