I called Steve late Friday evening asking for help as I had lost total electrical power in my house. He was out of town but found someone to come to my house to restore power. Through-out the process he kept in-touch, assessing the situation at every step. Even though this was an emergency his price did not reflect this. I highly recommend Steve.

Wilcox provides the highest caliber troubleshooters along with great customer service. We had a problem with our meter box connection. It was preventing the air conditioning from working. Dale came out and promptly discovered the issue. Since it was DC in the summer, we were not looking forward to ordering parts and waiting. But Steve came up with a great solution using parts he had on hand from previous jobs. He got everything fixed just in time for a 94 degree heat wave. Call them, and get your electrical problem fixed!

Steve replaced the old, unsafe panel on my fathers 100+ year old row home in Washington DC. He also installed a backup generator and even help with some minor troubleshooting while he was in the home. Very nice guy and very professional. I have recommended his company to everyone I know. Thanks!

AMAZING Customer Service. I contacted Wilcox Electric after a heating company was unable fix an oil heater that was not working at my Aunt's home. I spoke with Crystal at the office on January 2 and was advised that she had to speak with her technician to see what time he would be available to meet us. She called back immediately and advised that Steve (the owner) would be able to meet us at the house in the late afternoon. We arrived at the home at 5:30pm and found that the home had been broken into. Steve patiently waited with us (outside in the snow) while the police arrived and checked the home. Once we were allowed to enter the home, he was able to fix the problem in a matter of minutes, where the heating company was unable to in a few hours. He then offered to assist us in boarding up the broken window and securing the home. Unfortunately, we were still waiting for the police to complete their report. The police finished their report and left. Steve saw them leave and returned to help us board up the house. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to this company for going above and beyond when many would have just left us to wait for the police. The rates were VERY reasonable as well. I will definitely be contacting them for ALL electrical issues in the future.

I was concerned about a faulty socket I recently discovered. I messed around and blew the circuit. Their appointment process was seamless - I chose the date and time for my service appointment, received a confirmation email shortly before the scheduled date (so no need to call and confirm), and received a call from the technician the day of the appointment to confirm his arrival time (he even asked if he could show up early - a first!). Steve was a total pro - incredibly professional and knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. He went right to work on all the tasks I needed completing. He expertly installed the electrical equipment as I had requested (new wireless wall dimmer switches), trouble-shot a problem I had with a bad three-way switch (and installed a clever work-around), installed new LED lights in a track lighting fixture over a precarious stairwell, and suggested other things I might think about doing in the future as I continue to improve my home's lighting - he even wired in some new smoke detectors to boot. Best of all, Steve explained his process along the way so that I ended up more educated about my home's electrical wiring system. Finally, I must say that the pricing was fair and reasonable - I did my homework in researching other companies before committing to Wilcox, and you would be hard-pressed to beat their rates. I highly recommend this company - and especially Steve - for any and all of your electrical needs.

I absolutely enjoyed the services performed by Wilcox Electric! My poor dog was pretty exhausted from home renovations and contractors coming in and out, so it meant a lot that Dale and Steve immediately greeted my pup and made him feel comfortable with lot's of pets and verbal assurances. While they were working, he even went over a few times for more attention! Dale and Steve were friendly, efficient, and were able to build an outlet for our range oven, hardwire our dishwasher, and fix some other electric work that needed attention. I would not hesitate to recommend them, I had a wonderful experience and will certainly call them again if we ever have any issues.

David came out and gave us a comprehensive estimate for our long wish list of items. We decided to move forward with upgrading our electrical panel and wiring our garage. We were able to schedule the work quickly and easily. David came back out on two consecutive days and with help from Jonathan and Dimas, completed the jobs quickly and efficiently and even under the estimated cost. Payment was easy and every interaction very professional. We will gladly go back to Wilcox when we are ready to tackle the rest of our wish list!
