Chris of Small Jobs is the most amazing handyman I've ever had! Mounting both tv's on the wall was the best part of my move. Chris was friendly, professional and gave great recommendations for placement of the tv's. I have more small jobs that need to be done and Cris is definitely the man for the job!

My last review was written BEFORE my doors started falling off the door frame and before you wasted weeks with me measuring and remeasuring for my kitchen - having me buy multiple cabinets that I could not use before my husband was forced to fire you and bring in someone capable of completing the job - by the way, they finished the job in one day at a fraction of the price you quoted me. Chris came into my home and was asked to install double doors. Even though all the doors in my home are oak, he installed the cheapest hollow doors without asking me what I preferred. After my husband pointed out that he had installed the wrong doors, he replaced them with oak doors (charging us again for the work of course) but left the original door frame in place. Since the doors were too heavy for the frame, two weeks later the frame started cracking and the doors started collapsing. When my husband asked why he had not also changed the door jam for the heavier doors he blamed me for telling him not to change it. My husband and I are beside ourselves. DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR.

I called SmallJobs because of all the positive reviews I read online. Chris answered the phone at 5pm on a Friday evening, which is amazing. He is a contractor, so you could go to him for just about any job, and he will help you himself or refer you to a trusted resource. He fixed or replaced several bi-fold doors that were over 30 years old. Like new! He was honest and never tried to sell us on a solution we did not need. Got the job done quickly and perfectly at a good price, too. Can't recommend him highly enough!

Selfishly, I hesitate to review SmallJobs because I feel like you do when you finally find somebody who provides such great service that you'd like to keep this person all to yourself. Chris of SmallJobs was such a lucky find for me. It is extremely difficult to locate a competent, reliable individual who will provide small-scale contracting services. Chris has his contractor's license (rare for a handyman), pays great attention to detail and aesthetics, and takes the time to do the job right while being as efficient as possible. I was so pleased with the job he did for me (building a wall with a door in it and some drywall and cabinet work), that I am certain I will be investing in his company again quite soon. So be warned - if he starts getting too busy, I will take this review down. Just kidding. Sort of.

I'm updating my review since we found Small Jobs on Yelp 7 months ago! The owner, Chris, is seriously one of the best finds. When I moved to Maryland my dad was upset that he wouldn't be close enough to help with house projects and that I'd get cheated or charged ridiculously prices to get stuff done around the house. My dad passed away last year and it makes finding Chris with Small Jobs all the more amazing. We've used Small Jobs for two other house issues besides finding him to install our kitchen chandelier. We had outlets stop working in the master bathroom and then the guest bathroom back in January and he stopped over and fixed them very quickly. He wouldn't accept any money and just told my husband to call him when we had a big project! They don't make customer service like this anymore. Then yesterday we called about a broken garbage disposal and he squeezed us in on the SAME DAY! He fixed it in about 30 seconds and was on his way. Again he wouldn't charge us but I refused to let him not accept anything. Chris is the best handyman around! He's friendly, helpful, very knowledgeable and his customer service is unlike anything you'll find around here. We won’t be using anyone else for any house issues or projects! Thanks again for everything, Chris!! I found Chris via Yelp and the fantastic reviews! He switched out a chandelier for our kitchen that I've been dying to have changed! He was everything the reviews said and more! He's extremely friendly and very knowledgeable! His pricing is really reasonable too! He took time to explain things. (My husband and I attempted to replace it ourselves, but chickened out last minute) Chris was able to fit us in pretty quickly which was great! I highly recommend Small Jobs for any home improvement!

I have been turning to Chris for multiple jobs and he has never failed to exceed my expectations. The last project I had involved drywall repair and Chris gave me an estimate for repairing the damage we could see on the outside of the wall. Once the drywall was removed, the damage was actually twice the size. So even though Chris ended up doing twice the amount of work to repair my wall, he did not charge any extra. I also had trouble opening my front door and he worked diligently to fix the problem without charging me. He is always honest about what can and can't be fixed and has given me great advice to help me save money.I have never had any other handyman or technician complete work with as much diligence, attention to detail, and kind consideration of my home as Chris. He is always extremely friendly, cleans up after a job, and does the work right so that it doesn't need to be done again. Chris makes customer relations a high priority.
