This time around, we set another Saturday morning 8:00 appointment, and by 8:15, he hadn't arrived. No phone call, nothing. Called at 8:10, Melissa said he was stuck in traffic. I rarely write reviews but this is well earned. We hired Mr. Handyman for their gutter cleaning services. It was last minute and it was urgent due to moss growth that was causing a mold problem in our attic. They were able to get it taken care of the next day and they did an amazing job. I was incredibly impressed with Philip Launay! They charge a flat fee and then by the hour so we expected it to be really expensive but it wasn't. He worked really hard a was done in an hour and a half. He was also very knowledgeable and was able to easily pin point all of the problem areas with our system so I would know what I was dealing with before the gutter replacement company comes. We have dealt with other gutter companies before and it was like night and day. Super professional and easy to talk to! We will be hiring Mr. Handyman again for other projects around our house. Everyone that I spoke with on the phone was friendly and professional; I received a reply during the night to an email that I sent late on a Saturday evening; my technician, Dennis was very professional, pleasant, thorough, and took the time to explain what he was doing. I give him all the credit in the world for not performing a task that I thought needed to be done, he could have just killed time and I wouldn't have known better. They're a little pricey but worth the extra. Highly recommended! I will use them again.

Despite what company says, good luck getting the work guaranteed or the tech to be as skilled and efficient as company says. Customer service is poor and unprofessional, and you may be blamed for what adds up to a miscommunication between their managers and workers.

I like the clear pricing. Good quality workmanship, tech are cross trained to do electric, plumbing, carpentry. They are on time and clean as they go. In the last 5 minutes of a recent job, tech found an issue and instead of blowing it off after a long visit, he stayed an extra 90 minutes to fix it-saving me the cost and inconvenience of an electrician from another company.

If you like duct tape and chewing gum, use these guys. Worst experience with a contractor in 20 years of home ownership and literally countless projects. For a full range of projects I attempted to use them for, they were pathetic in most every aspect. ALL projects had to be redone to an acceptable state. NOTHING was done to code that should have been. It was literally like dealing with children all the way from the call center, to the home business receptionists, the technicians, the managers, all the way up to the owner. I literally cannot believe they are in business. Most were pleasant and nice, but grossly incompetent. Don't be duped by their seemingly professional and pleasant talking - what really counts is the workmanship in the end.

I am in the process of selling my house and inspection report came in and needed fixing/repairs in my property. I called Mr Handyman and it was all a smooth process from the start to the end. Mr Kevin provided me a detailed answers and recommendations for the project. They sent Barry (the handyman) to do the work. Very nice person and professional. All repairs and fixing turned out great! I called this company because I found their coupon for a free hour of work. From beginning to end, their service was outstanding and very professional. They gave me a date and time they would arrive, and they called ahead to confirm it. My handyman, Ken, arrived exactly on time at 8:00 a.m. I took him through the house and showed him what I wanted him to do. He prioritized my list by how long it would take him to complete each task, then got to work right away. I had a long list, and he completed everything in 4 hours. He made sure that I was happy with each job as he finished it. The day after they did the work, they e-mailed to ensure I was still happy, to see if I had any questions, etc. I was extremely impressed with them, and I'm already putting my list together for the next time I ask them to come!

After two years using this company for cleaning our gutters with decent service and charges, this year they charged us $850 for the same job.. gutter cleaning. No gutter covers, no extravagant clean out. Just removing leaves. Be careful when they try to charge you by an hourly rate for a job, as well as suggest adding technicians, because their technicians can hike the price up FAST. We were completely blindsided by this hike in price right after Christmas and the President of this branch has been very rude with me while I was trying to figure out what was going on. Definitely will be telling all of our neighbors to steer clear.

I am experiencing a leak in my attic and utility room due to incomplete install of my new roof. Mr. Handyman Tech Mark came out to inspect and informed me of the incomplete work done by the roofing company and was very helpful in providing me information to hold the company accountable. Underestimated the time necessary to complete the job and technicians did not have skill set to complete some jobs properly. I learned a lesson the hard way.

I would give it 4 stars for customer service and 5 quality of work, 2 for price. Responsiveness to emails wasn't really on point, there seemed to be a small lack of coordination. One person says one thing, one person says another and I'm just not a huge fan of the pay-per-15 minute model. I spent a lot more money than others had quoted me, but the service was timely and that's what I needed to close on my house.

I contacted three separate vendors for a fence repair quote, and of the three only Mr. Handyman was willing to provide a quote/price range over the phone. Having received quotes for varying work projects in the past, I understand the risks involved in providing a quote for a project sight unseen. However, they provided a price range to cover the upper and lower end of the spectrum. They also offered an option to purchase the needed materials for my convenience - which I appreciated! Even though the initial appointment had to be rescheduled for the following day - due to unforeseen work commitments, the repairmen arrived promptly the next day, fully prepared to do the work. He kept me apprised of his schedule and any potential issues throughout the project. All in all, I am very satisfied with the quality of services received and at a reasonable price.
