I had a terrible experience with Core Electrical Contractors. I hired them to completely re-wire my home in Houston, TX and was quoted $12.9K for the project. The payments were structured into three installments and based on milestones. After several weeks into the project (which was a complete remodel) I decided to terminate the GC because of the lack of substantial progress on my home, not sticking to the plans that were approved by the city, and their use of inferior materials. By this time, I had already paid Core $11K. The company owner decided not to complete the work and even called and harassed me about returning wire that I had already paid him for because of his personal relationship with the GC.
