Braud Electric is a very reliable company. Mr. Randy and his assistant came out and quickly identified the problem. They were very knowledgeable and professional and was able to get the job done. I would definitely use them again if needed and I highly recommend their services.

Do not use this company! We called Braud when my mother-in-laws outlet stopped working and needed replacement. The receptionist told us that it would cost $90 if we waited 2 days for a non-emergeny call out. Well, they charged $90 plus an additional $125 to replace an outlet. Then, the electrician told my disabled mother-in-law that the dryer cord needed to be replaced for an additional cost of $125 and that it would be difficult to find at Lowes or Home Depot. What a liar!!! My husband easily found the dryer cord at Lowes for $18 (including taxes) and installed in just a few minutes.
We were ripped off!!!! My husband and I are more than upset with the service that we received from this unprofessional company. They charged us $90 for them to just come out to our house AND THEN charged us $120 to use a voltage tester!!! Wouldn't you think that would be included in the $90 fee?? They told me that our outdoor patio fan was "frozen" and that we'd need to buy a new fan and they could then come out and install it for us for $212, mind you the electrical wiring is already set up so they would literally be connecting two wires and using the same bracketing and bolts. After doing a simple Google search of how to fix a frozen fan, I (yes, a girl) was able to fix the fan myself. I'm disappointed in myself for not speaking up while they were there and asking them about the $90 fee, but I am more disappointed in the fact that I feel that I was taken advantage of. I also particularly didn't like how the man spoke to me like I was an idiot. He said "you follow me" so many times that, quite frankly, it was very difficult to follow him. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

I met the owner Randy. He made my wife and I feel so comfortable. The mannerisim of his staff Blake was amazing and respectful. Randy the owner knows his stuff. Years of experience. The service was impeccable and I highly recommend this company.
I had no problem scheduling an appointment or having the guy show up, but they will rip you off. I ended up getting the same work done for almost 1/2 the price. I needed a 20amp dedicated circuit for an over stove microwave.
Randy and Lester came to my house today to do some electrical work. They called when they were on their way to make sure someone was home. Both were very professional and did an excellent job! Thanks guys! I will definitely call again when I need any electrical work done. :)
I highly recommend Braud Electric. Randy and his crew have been very helpful in meeting my household electrical needs. During a power outage to my home, Randy came to inspect the whole home and make necessary repairs, and more importantly give my family peace of mind that are home was safe. After that first experience we have called Randy to address our future electrical repairs and assessment. Randy not only completes the repairs but takes the time to educate you on what he is doing and why he is doing it. Randy takes real pride in his work, and I believe it is very hard to find that quality of services today.

I called several electricians this Saturday to no avail. Mr. Randy "Himself" answered my call in the middle of his Saturday. Once I let him know that I had burned wires outside in a breaker box and my air was not working in this Louisiana heat, he said he'd be on his way. It took him less than an hour to make it to my home. (I don't live anywhere near him) He talked me through the whole process of him repairing my burned wires(major fire hazard). I can not express my gratitude for his service. I wish I could state the price he charged for all the work he did, but that's not professional. He was a very pleasant and straight to business man. I wish I could do a commercial for him. I have a nine year old and a four year old asthmatic that are truly thankful for his speedy and accurate service. If you need an electrician "Braud Electric" is the best business to choose. Honestly Happy, Mrs. Walker
Great service! I thought one of my ceiling fans was broken and needed to be replaced. Randy and Jason came out this afternoon diagnosed the problem and repaired it in 15 minutes. It’s awesome to have great service providers in Ascension parish. I will definitely be using them for all my future electrical needs.

Braud electric, Randy and Lester, were very prompt and professional. In our emergency situation, we needed power restored ASAP for an elderly lady. They not only did repairs but upgraded the service in two days and at a good price. There has been no issues with their work at all. it was a pleasure to work with them.
Extremely poor customer service. Had an appointment which required me to take time off from work to wait for Braud's Electric to NOT show up. Not only did they No Show, but No Call either. When I call the company to see what happened to my appointment, I was told that the owner would have to call me back. There was no apology for missing the appointment, only that the owner would call me back. Well, just as I expected, I never received a call from anyone. What a poor excuse for professional service. Not only will I never call them again, but I will make sure to tell everyone that I know to do the same.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! They do not waive the service charge if they do the work. He charged an arm and a leg and didn't fix the problem. Should have seen what was causing the problem because he looked right at it. Had to get another electrician to come and he found the problem right away. Braud Electric charged me $147 to install 3 receptacles and I supplied the receptacles, oh by the way, they were not the problem. Total bill $577. Such a rip off!!
Quick and efficient! They identified the problem within 30 minutes and was up and running again within the hour! I highly recommended them. Price was very reasonable too.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Braud's provide quality products, but you will certainly over-pay for it. I had a bad 30 amp circuit breaker that needed to be swapped out and when it was all said and done I paid $275 ($90 service charge & $185 circuit replacement fee). Now they do present up-front pricing that you practically have to sign in blood before work is to be completed, but for someone like myself that doesn't know the costs of electrical items I was lost in a haze of shady provided details and just wanting the problem fixed. Their justification for charging $185 to swap the $15 breaker (which is essentially 2 screws I might add) was that they checked all of my other circuits and tightened up a couple loose ones; again they tightened screws with a screwdriver. Wouldn't you think that this would be covered in the $90 Service Charge as part of the diagnosis? If not, then what does the "Service Charge" include other than driving to my house? I understand the fact of overhead operating expenses, but even at a 30% labor overhead and 100% mark-up on material I still paid $100 to have the item swapped out COMPLETELY excluding the $90 diagnosis. Like I said to begin with I am not going to provide negative feedback on the quality of their work since the problem was fixed along with the 5-year warranty on a $15 part. I am writing this review to provide the heads-up that I wish I had at the time to know what questions to ask. All in all, I do not recommend.

Called to set up an appointment to get a quote on a new standby home generator. The lady told me it would be a $90 call out charge for a technician to come out. I told her never mind because I didn’t think I should pay for getting an estimate on a whole new system (nothing is broke). So I thought maybe the lady on the phone was a call center, So I then went on the website to fill out the contact page and explain to them what I was looking for. I have yet to get a response.
They did an excellent job and the price was good too. Would defiantly recommend.

I had major electrical issues in my office building making impossible to work. I called Braud Electric on a Saturday. Randy came within the hour, diagnosed and repaired the problem. Truly professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. I will never use anyone else! Thank you Braud Electric!
