Bookman's has done several jobs for my 1950's era home. They installed a new breaker panel when we refinished the basement. They have also added overhead lighting in two rooms that originally did not have it. Robert is a very easy going person who is good to work with. I would highly recommend them.

He promised one price (which he raised to make sure it would "cover his costs") then his guys showed up and wouldn't honor it because they didn't realize what the work would be like even though I offered to let him do a walk through the house. He said it wouldn't be necessary. So I called off work so I could be there for his guys, then they quote the job for MORE THAN DOUBLE what their boss quoted. I text their boss to see if he would honor his quote since I called off work and already got the money, and instead of responding to me he just immediately text his workers and told them to leave (which I guess they weren't supposed to tell me) so they just left and their boss never responded to me. So that was my awful experience, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone and all of their other reviews have to be from employees or family members because the whole thing was ridiculous.

Bookman's Electrical has completed numerous jobs for me at my home. Robert and his workmen are friendly and knowledgeable. They have problem-solved using some creative thinking and ingenious solutions to more than 1 problem I had with the "original" wiring in my 1961 circa home. I'm glad to know that all work is completely up to code and that we are safe to live here. He is fair, honest, timely, and reasonable in his costs. I highly recommend him and know you will be happy and satisfied with the work he does for you.

Any rating less than 5 is probably just not a good one to read. Owner personally fixed an issue I originally had with some work that was done by an employee. Although I had that issue the owner took care of me over a year after the work was done. So the owner is very responsive and quick with the work and if any issues arise he corrects them fairly.

No issues at all. Came out to a farm in the middle of nowhere in Anderson Co. Did the work quickly and quietly. Cleaned up after they were done. Reasonable price, quality work, no complaints at all. These people are now my electrician. If I need more work... they will get the call.

Responsive, Friendly, and effective. We needed a service call over the weekend as an electrical issue seemed to be preventing our furnace from operating properly. We have young children so not having heat in the house during winter weather was concerning. Bookman's provided excellent and timely service at a fair price. I had them out to do a little re-wiring on my kitchen before other work was done in there. I told them three times what was happening and they can't seem to do what I ask. I caught it the first time and had them correct it before they left. The second time I didn't notice until the other work was being done. So I had them out to correct the problem, and it still isn't done right - they went the quickest way possible. What's worse is that they then charged me the emergency call out rate for a full hour (when they were done in under 45 min).

Solved my issue. I had a beeping that was occurring every 30 seconds. I thought the sound was coming from a transformer with an A/C line going into it. However, turns out it was just that my carbon dioxide detector needed batteries. My only warning on this is that you will be charged the $125 service charge even if it is only something as simple as batteries. The service guy has no control over this.

Had a dryer that would trip the circuit breaker each time it ran. I'm not an expert at these things so I wanted someone who knew what they're doing to check it out. Wasn't sure whether it would be the breaker going weak or something wrong with the heating element in the dryer. Had the electrician over and he replaced my breaker for me. Discovered that the wiring for that breaker had been done improperly and was not fastened. Over time the wire would heat up and eventually it shorted. There were signs of arcing and damage. Now my dryer works fine. One minus was the price, but it's about what you'd get from any electrician anywhere. Overall very good experience and would trust them for future electrical issues.

I was very pleased with the service. I was a new customer and I contacted Robert out of the blue because of a crisis with my circuit box on a Sunday. He wrote me right back communicated clearly and we made plans to have the circuit board replaced. New York Mike, a member of Roberts team, did my work. He was outstanding in every regard. I think Bookman's is lucky to have him working with them. He arrived on time. He listen to my concerns and accommodated my schedule. Mike works very very quickly and thoroughly. He replaced my entire 1971 circuit breaker box with a new one in less than four hours. The cost of the job was very reasonable and I was charged exactly what Robert had quoted. This is clearly a very professional, fair and skilled company. I highly recommend them.

Emailed about a service call. Had a reply by the end of the day and a phone call the next day. Bob told me he could be at my house in the next 2 days, which was perfect for me. He came in, found the problem, fixed the problem ( couple of them actually), and he was on his way. Great service at a fair price. I would definitely refer to a friend.

All 5 stars!! Robert and his guys did excellent professional work on several past due projects around the house. First was to install an extra electrical outlet for the whole house Water Softener System. A month and a half later, the electrical panel in the garage blew up due to either an electrical transformer kicking back voltage or lightning just to our house. We were both at work at the time and very lucky the explosion was contained and did not catch anything on fire, all of the electronics and appliances were intact too. So Robert and Kevin installed a new commercial grade electrical panel with all new upgraded circuit breakers, as the old ones blew apart and burned up. While they were doing that, they also fixed an outside electrical outlet that has been non-functional since the house was built. Finally yesterday, Robert showed up to install a surge/spike arrestor into the new electrical panel, so that device will take the electrical hit next time instead of the electrical panel or anything else. If you need any electrical work done, especially in emergency situations like ours, give them a call! I will be sure to call again if anything else turns up. They are very fair priced, and always do quick Grade A work, when everyone else would have blow us off otherwise for a week at least. :-)

Robert is a wonderful electrician. We first used his services when we were finishing our basement and had a large amount of electrical work to do. He was quick, efficient and knowledgeable. He was able to point out major issues that our builder had done incorrectly, as well as correct some other electrical work with our pool. He offered expert advice without being pushy. He was also very reasonable with his charges. We have had him come to do work several more times. He's makes you feel like you are a friend from the get-go. He Is very personable. I highly recommend Bookman Electrical!
