Joe Boyle, the electrician at Dalton Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Electric & Fireplaces, Inc., recently did some work at our home. He performed a thorough inspection of our electrical system and replaced some smoke detectors that had reached the end of their useful life. We were also replacing some light fixtures and adding a few in conjunction with a new drywalling project. Joe installed the temporary lighting so the drywall could be installed. When the professional doing the drywall work had to make a revision in his plan, Joe was able to stop by the house within the hour to make an adjustment to the wiring. He had suggestions for appropriate light fixtures, too. It gives us peace of mind to know that the electrical work has been professionally done. Not only is Joe an excellent electrician, we enjoyed having him around while he was working.

Had Justin Else over here cleaning the ac unit and testing our electrical. Was very quick and friendly. Got the job done! Edit: Just have to add, later that week our motor died in the ac unit on Sun, they were back out Mon and replaced the motor at no charge to hold us over until our new unit is ready to be installed. We already had the process set up for a new one so it was going to happen regardless. I just want to say that Dalton takes care of their customers and makes sure we're comfortable. And for them to do what they did just shows how good their customer service really is. Thanks again!

I cannot say enough about Dalton Plumbing. We had a drainage back up in our basement after hours - the folks at Dalton were able to send a plumber over in less than a half hour and Jake was amazing. We had a bigger issue than we initially thought, and he stayed late in the evening and came back the next day to help us figure out what was going on. He was incredibly informative and kept us up to date on what was happening, and I never worried that the problem wouldn't be fixed. Being new to the area, it can be difficult to find people you trust to help with home issues, but I would definitely call Dalton again.

Had a drain clean out performed today. The service was performed wonderfully, by a very polite, personable, and professional technician. The reason this review didn't get 5 stars is the cost of the work. This was extremely expensive to perform a simple drain clean out. I understand they are a flat rate company, so the customers with the simple jobs pay for the more expensive jobs of others. Just sucks to be a customer with a simple job and have to eat the cost. If cost is not a concern, I'd highly recommend Dalton!

I purchased a new house and unknown to me at the time the owner found an issue as I was driving to acquire it. Josh arrived 20 min after I did and quickly resolved the issue along with suggesting additional services to ensure the issue did not return in the future. Moving is hectic enough without having a leaking furnace but he was able to fix it while I continued to unload my stuff. He updated me on anything he found and as he fixed the issue without any additional effort on my part.

Dalton really shows a desire to treat you well. From putting on shoe covers when they enter to giving you advice on a DIY option to save money, they aim to please. I have had them service Furnace, Air Conditioner - for which they are best. And also Plumbing and Electrical. Today they are installing a new water heater and to protect my existing investments they are putting down carpet guard. They also fixed my tub last week, but the fix didn't solve the problem. I brought this to their attention and they are willing to move to the next step and discount the next work because the first work didn't quite take care of it. Since these are typically a process of elimination, like a car, I respect that they acknowledge this and will not charge me full price for every step of the way. Pricing is based on industry rates, instead of a varying opinion from one Tech to the next.

Over Labor Day weekend my basement flooded for the first time and I had no idea what to do or where to turn. I called Dalton's and within an hour someone was at my house with a sump pump and continuously checking in on me. Long story short within a week's time I had at least five different employees (all experts) at my house making sure I had everything I needed to move on. Called to ask how much to clean out a main line from the basement and was told its $87 plus whatever repairs/materials needed to be done. Once they show up to look at it, he quoted me $596 to run the augers down the main line and tried to sell me a service package on top of that. They could have EASILY said that over the phone! Considering their prices were not in line with other local plumbers, I declined service. So for him to stop for 5 minutes (not an exaggeration) to answer a question that could have been answered on the phone, I was charged $87. Regardless of quality of work, they will never win my business nor that of my family.

We were preparing for a remodel of our house and knew our old systems (heat, 40 years and AC, 18 years) were needing replaced. We called about a dozen various places in the Cedar Valley (all were good) and kept coming back to Dalton because of the quality of staff and value or products. We wanted to wait a little longer until the remodel was in progress, but our AC died on one of those 95 degree days. We called first thing Monday and scheduled our replacement for 8 am Tuesday. At 7:50 on Tuesday, the repair team arrived. They were exceptional. My team consisted of William, Jordan, and Steve. These three guys worked tirelessly from 8 am to 8 pm, installing my new AC in a house that was 89 degrees. It was not an easy install, but they did everything above-and-beyond what was expected. I am so impressed!

Had work done to replace water softener and get plumbing up to code. When I returned home after the job was completed, salt water from the old unit was spilled everywhere throughout my newly renovated basement, including carpet that is less than 1 month old. This required me to purchase a carpet shampooer to clean the spot and remove as much of the salt as possible from the carpet. The rest of the basement still needs to be scrubbed and cleaned of the dried salt water. I have had Dalton do everything plumbing and heating related in my house and will likely not have them come back after the mess they left. Completely unacceptable when paying nearly $1900 to have a job completed.

One of 3 locals company I called for a quote for new central air unit. I was shocked at how much they wanted to install same size unit that there competitors did. Called to see why and didn't get response from them for 2-3 days. Didn't get a reason why just sorry and hoped I could use them in the future. I can not understand the cost of your company doing business and keeping employees paid.. but 30 to 40 percent higher cost for units and service is unreasonable if other reputable companies can do the same work and plus provide excellent customer service.

$628.55. Had a tub faucet leak and an outdoor faucet leak. The man came out and tightened up the faucets. The next day I called him back because both were still leaking, he came back out and tightened the inside and replaced the outside. Two faucets, fixed twice within a couple days, only one replaced, the other is now crooked and doesn't move freely. $628.55. The one faucet he replaced must have been lined in gold. I called to let them know this was excessive. ***They cam out a third time to work on the, still leaking tub faucet. We told them we would like to see the service fee waived, but would buy a part if needed. They waived the fee, however, he did not replace the part. The leak is gone, but the faucet is severely crooked and the shower only turns on about 80% now, with the rest just pouring down the faucet itself. We have since moved into our new home which requires replacing double furnace to a singe zoned unit and a power-vented water heater. Unfortunately we will not be able to use Dalton for these jobs.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! My Mom messed up and did and got a $550 bill for about 1 hour work from a plumber. (Very basic work also, hooked up kitchen sink supply lines and rebuild a shower cartridge that I had everything set up). I called and spoke with the owner for him to tell me it was a fair price and he wasn't coming off of it. Tell your friends and family do not use this company. The high ratings here have got to be from employee's and their families, no one in their right mind could recommend or give this company 5 stars.

I had called Dalton's to schedule an AC check up after seeing commercial on TV. Last Saturday while working my yard I noticed a Dalton van across the street at neighbors. When he came out I mentioned I was scheduled for an AC checkup on June 7th. He asked if I had a brochure on their service agreement? told him No. He gave me a brochure. I called Dalton's Monday and signed up for the agreement. I travel a lot for my job and told Dalton's which door would be open. Dalton's called when they were ready to head to my place. When completed Andy called me with what he found. He told me I had the wrong furnace filter. Andy told the proper filter to purchase. He also told me my furnace and AC were probably 30 years old and the furnace was at 80%. Everything was first class. I really appreciate Andy giving me the brochure last week. Otherwise I would not have known about the agreement.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Quoted an exorbitant fee for a repair that later on a different company did in half the price. Also sent a bill for a someone to come over and do an estimate! Kept pushing to sign the contract right away and kept quoting more and more into it. Very pushy sales man and used scare tactics to get me to sign. Very unprofessional and extremely money minded. Do not recommend at all. Avoid at all cost. Just to answer a question that they could have said could be answered by an estimator, they charged me $87. 00 which I never agreed to. I had already given them a full analysis of the problem. So their guy actually did nothing! Still they keep sending me bills. Their prices are exorbitant and higher than everyone else. They would never earn my business. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CHEATERS!!!

Steve did a fantastic job getting our furnace and central air installed completely in one day. They were here until 6:00 on a Friday making sure everything was complete. They did a great job on the clean up as well!
