A problem developed in our upstairs ceiling lights. Very puzzling? American Electric was recommended to us and I am glad they were. In a word, Professionalism. Jeff was sent out to us. He was he was courteous and respectful, and more importantly he knew his stuff. He found the source of our problem, fixed it and was gone in under an hour. Price was more than reasonable. Thanks American.

Be wary of this place. I would not choose this company again. If you agree on a project, they will charge you per hour whether they do what you have asked or not. After they have have "completed" my project I had a city inspector check their work. There were numerous items that needed to be rectified before he would sign off on it. I asked American Electric to come back to fix these items, they did and charged me for it and the inspector said that these items still needed to be addressed. We paid someone else to fix their mishaps to pass the inspection. We gave them a project worth a few thousand dollars, and they won't wave $100 since they never fixed what the inspector asked them to.

I cant believe they completely ripped off my mom. She had an issue with the power going out and someone came out and flipped the breaker box and it solved the problem. They could have been done and charged her for their time, but then he tried to look at the heater for 3 hours just racking up time. They are not HVAC specialists why was he just pretending to look at the heater and then say he doesnt know what's wrong with it. Charged my mom $435 to flip a breaker box. Wow. And they had the nerve to double charge her and when my mom called to inquire about the duplicate charge she received a hostile lady answer the phone that said they wouldnt do that bye. This company cant provide that kind of service and scam somebody like that for flipping a breaker box and expect to do business in the valley for very long. Lots of other electric companies so use one of them!!

I had an issue with an outlet that caused a GFCI to consistently trip the breaker box downstairs....so I looked online, called around to find out what other home electrical repair businesses would charge (from $119-$150) for a service call and then called American Electric as they were fourth on my list. I got next day service and Kevin not only diagnosed the problem (incorrect wiring from a previous home electric repair company which I will never use again), he changed out the GFCI and did it in exactly one hour. So my total price (including that new GFCI) was $90. Kudos to Eric, Kevin and Trish. They are now my go-to people.

Long story, short...after my mother-in-law had a scare with an outlet bursting into flames, American Electric came out on icy roads, replaced 4 outlets and a light switch and charged her under $100. Even more amazing, though, is that the electrician even went out and salted her sidewalk and stairs for her because her arm was in a sling due to a dislocated shoulder. You just don't get service like that these days. Thank you for taking care of her in more than ways than one!

Christmas Eve emergency... Power went out around 6pm. Found American online and gave them a call. Richard showed up and solved the problem in 3 hours, outside temp of -2 and no lights in the backyard. Gave up Christmas eve with his family to help ours. Thank you for saving our Christmas!!
