Mr. Sparky has been our 5 star “Go To” electrician for 7 years now. They have provided excellence at every level, from installing my whole house generator, auto transfer switch to whole house surge protection and other general electrical needs. I share the following incredible customer service review and recommendation based on those experiences. After a hurricane knocked out power, my generator ran flawlessly for 3 days, providing uninterrupted power. When the grid power came back on, I called Mr. Sparky to service the generator, to be ready if the power went out again. Even during that extremely hectic and busy time, they came out the NEXT DAY! WOW! On another occasion, my home had a lightening related electrical power surge. Some electronics in my home, including an 82” TV were damaged. I called Paul K, the Operations GM, for help in filing a claim, based on the surge protection they sold and installed for me... He directed me to the right folks at Eaton and they promptly paid the claim, hassle free! Finally, they are so determined not to disappoint customers, or postpone an appointment, other Mr. Sparky team member electricians were busy, so Paul jumped into action to come out and service my generator himself! I can’t speak highly enough of their professionalism, integrity and just being great people, from the first phone call, “Thank you for calling Mr. Sparky, how make I make you smile today” .. to phenomenal service and the finish product / results - that WILL make you ((((SMILE:)))). Mr Sparky in my opinion, is run by con artists. I paid $59 for a two hour sales presentation for things I did not request. I moved in a 1980 mobile home that needed a few lights reworked, a fan replaced in a bathroom and some other minor issues. These issues were not even addressed or discussed. Instead the salesman went for the close by trying to sell upgrades that were not wanted nor required. Trying to sell unwanted upgrades to customers is how I was treated. Not cool, and I hate to think about how this company may treat unwise or older people who place their trust in them. The weekend after the visit to try to sell me on these upgrades the company called me back to schedule, and I explained I wasn’t satisfied would they please refund my $59 for the sales presentation. The man I spoke to was condescending and argumentative. Instead of offering a refund he sought to engage in a lengthy conversation about how he “did not understand”. I would take a leap and venture to say their technicians are probably paid by commission. I feel ripped off, but not as bad as it could have been. Now it’s my mission to tell everyone and to keep posting about how I feel about Mr Sparky. His name was. T.j.

I am a retired Vet and Quality Engineer about to undergo cancer surgery and so my money is tight. So when I do spend my money I want quality service and a quality product that I can afford. I needed a generator transfer breaker box put in due to the upcoming hurricane season here in Florida. Mr Matthew Sanchez from Sparky is a true professional that is hard to find these days. To be honest I had already had Sparky out twice before due to the job not being completed properly. I called for my third appointment hoping to get the job finished but finished right. When Mr Sanchez arrived I could tell right away I was in good hands. He was very friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. He explained each step he was doing and why. Corrected all the faults found and even tested the breakers to my satisfaction. He gave instructions on the proper process on how to use the Transfer Breaker Box and switches. We actually hooked up the generator and did a test run. He did not leave until I felt confident in the process. I wish they had sent him in the first place. If I was still working as the Senior Quality Engineer for a Govt. contractor I would have hired this young man to come work for me. I know a good man when I see one.

He was here almost three days working on a large difficult job as it rained at least four times a day and he kept working,while soaking wet. I changed my original review. When I posted the one below the owner of the company called me. He was concerned regarding my comments. Evidently the technician no longer works there. They are accredited with the BBB. All this being said, always get a second opinion. *Old review* Caution! These guys are rip offs. They wanted to charge me $26,000 dollars to rewire my house. I had a second estimate. I had one faulty recptacle. It cost $500 to correct the small issue. Much better than Mr. Sparky. Their electricians work on commissions. Not right. Their electrician came out disconnected my garage door opener and left me a $26,000 bill. I had to hire an electrician to fix what he disconnected. Rip offs. Stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The electricity in the rental where I live has been horrible and after using 3 other electricians who couldn't find the problem, the maintenance company called Mr Sparky. Mr Sparky came out, on time and professional, to accurately diagnose the electrical system when 3 other electricians didn't. The young lady and gentleman electricians were sharp and friendly. Unfortunately, my rental company went with a lower priced vendor for the repair but the consult was worth it.

Experience was beyond unprofessional..I ordered task lighting ,led's dimmable..first they put the lights in that was day 1..then he didn't have the right dimmer, so on day two, he put in the dimmer which didn't work because the lights were not dimmable. Then on day three, appointment cancelled because the newly ordered lights were not in..which they made the appointment as if they were. Day 4 they put the lights in,added a new dimmer and so far so good..BUT..I lost 4 days work, one new client which I had to refer out..so that referral cost me 12,000..because the client bought a home. The tech they sent was great, not his fault and he tried very hard to please me..I am waiting to hear what kind of credit u are going to give me for time and money lost.

Hello, My name is Jeff Alsbury. I had a second estimate done from Mr. Sparky on March 5, 2019 for aluminum wiring that was not eligible for coverage from my homeowners insurance company Florida Peninsula. My insurance agent recommended Citizens Insurance Company that would provide coverage for aluminum wiring remediated with Alumicon. My estimate was provided by Josh from Mr. Sparky. I explained to him what I needed and right away he stated that my whole house needed to be rewired with copper, replace panel, and many other items that I did not want. The bottom line for the entire job estimate was over $28,000. I was startled at the price estimate. Josh gave me nothing but lies for what I needed, he assumed I was ignorant, gullible, naive and dumb. I let him give me his estimate and then sent him on his way. Josh tried to take advantage of my situation and thought I would buy into his foolish estimate. Mr. Sparky will take advantage of people that are ignorant, gullible and naive. The electrical work that I am having done is by Integrity Electric Port Charlotte. I am having all my outlets, switches remediated with Alumicon through my whole house. The cost for the entire job estimate is $3,700.00. Josh stated that no homeowners insurance company will accept you with using Alumicon for aluminum wiring. He lied to me. The publice needs to know this. Never use Mr. Sparky Electric Service. Call Integrity electric for honest and ethical business.

EXCEPTIONAL! My experience started out with wanting to have another outlet put above another one in my bedroom. I went online and easily made an appointment that fit my exact time frame I was looking to have it done. HUGE WIN, as I did it at 10:00 pm and didn't have to wait on the phone or do it during office hours. Love that function! Kudos to you for making that work! I received a confirmation via text that the technician (Michael Towns) was on his way. It was accompanied by his photo. AGAIN, HUGE kudos to you. Safety matters to you is the message you sent me by sending his photo. So appreciative. Michael arrived on time, was professional and extremely polite. He covered his shoes to walk in my home. He reviewed the work I wanted to be done and then I took him to the circuit panel for him to start doing his thing. He came back into the home and told me that my circuit panel was in "really bad shape" and that he doesn't feel comfortable at all leaving it the way it is. He walked me through what he was seeing, showed me pictures of what it should look like and educated me on the issue. I asked him to tell me what I needed to do to fix it and he worked and got everything together and gave me my options. I chose an option and then I asked when I could get it done and he said, "Mam, we are going to do everything we can to get this done today, but I have to check to see what we can do." I was shocked! He went out to his truck and returned very shortly after with a plan to have another technician come out in about an hour or so and start the job. Sure enough, an hour or so later I received a text from Roberto Cantu (again with his photo included) and he was on his way out. Michael waited for Roberto to show up and walked him through the entire job. Then Michael came in and gave me his card and said that Roberto would be assisting me but if I needed anything else to feel free to contact him. How INCREDIBLE is that??!! Roberto was an absolute professional just like Michael was. He worked NONSTOP for 6 hours straight in the middle of the day in the Florida heat to get me a brand new circuit panel. I couldn't believe it. He didn't stop. He was meticulous in his work as I watched him be incredibly organized and efficient. He was just incredible. It was dark and it was late and he worked with me on a time to come back the next day and finish the "non-essential" work. Again, showing up on time with a text proceeding him. What I expected to be a couple hundred dollar job ended up being several thousand dollars and very necessary. Michael identified a very serious problem and took the time to educate me so that I could make the best decision. Roberto executed the job flawlessly and I have complete trust in the work that he did. The entire experience from start to finish was exemplary in every single aspect of it. I am beyond grateful for Mister Sparky and Michael and Roberto. I will recommend to everyone 100 times over!!!! Thank you for being the BEST part of my week!

Mike, the salesman, said there would be 2 guys doing the job. Only had one so it took longer, over 3 days we had to be home. Also, why doesn't the salesman itemize the number of outlets/recepticles by room in his notes when he does quote so the tech can use as a checklist to make sure he does the same number. Tom missed three areas after he thought he was done, not his fault since he didn't have numbers in each room that Mike noted.

We called Mister Sparky to install a 240 outlet for our new swim spa. I am so thankful for their diligence. They showed me how my panel was wearing, it was old and at it's max. I used them in the past, and the tech did great work. Years later... All I wanted to know was "Can I please have an ballpark of a room to room network cable drop of this type of home in which the bedrooms are 20 feet away from each other". They said, "We can't give this information to you. We must send someone out." What kind of high pressure sales tactic is this??? I also asked if I could speak to someone at a local office, and she stated no, the tech must come out. I called twice, and even used the chat room with no avail. I'm calling someone that can at least talk to me over the phone without coming out first. I think I'm very reasonable in asking for a room to room ball park. 100-150 or 150 - 200 would have been better than nothing.

I gave to mister sparky 5 stars and I wrote a good review too soon. Big mistake! I called Mister Sparky to upgraded my electrical panel and Michael the technician explained that Mister Sparky accepts major credit cards, debit cards etc.. But Mister Sparky has an special payment method for customers like me Michael told me that " just write 4 checks that the first check will be cancelled in 24 hours the 2nd check in 30 days the 3rd check in 60 days and the last check on 90 days the reality is that Mister Sparky cancelled my first check in 24 hours the others were cancelled every months. Mister Sparky DIDN'T HONOURS his word this is NOT about money it's about respect a verbal and written agreement. Besides of a bad technical services because fail first inspection, then the second then Tommy left me without Air Condition snother technician came the night then instead of upgraded my electrical panel they degraded my electrical panel from 150 to 100 abd I can go in on in on... Mister Sparky should have change his name to Mister Shark y

This was by far one of the best experiences we have had with a vendor coming to our home to provide service. The process by which Mr Sparky dispatches their techs and keeps you updated as to their arrival is wonderful. We received an alert as to when our certified electrician would be arriving plus a picture of him as a security point. Excellent idea. Once Dominick arrived, he set upon to work on servicing our generator. He told us what he would be doing and how long it would take and true to his word, the word was completed as described. He ask if there was any thing else he could do for us or if we had any questions. I did have a question about a circuit breaker which would trip occasionally for no apparent reason. Upon inspection, he determined that there were four circuit breakers which were in need of replacement because of inherent problems with their design. He provided different options for me to decide as to which to take and once we made a selection, he replaced all four breakers and we are very pleased. I also like the idea that he gave us a business card with a little personal information and history on it to. Mr Sparky may not be the least expensive vendor to choose but you are assured that the professionalism and knowledge and courtesy of the person coming to your door will be well worth it. Work done right the first time. A very positive experience. We will call them again when needed, for sure.
