Excellent company! Highly recommend. Real customer service. I've used this company for several service calls with both electrical and plumbing repairs over the last year. They are polite, clean, and they do excellent work. They are now my go to company. More recently we had an issue with our central a/c's electrical connection (installed by a different company) ... during the 7/20/19 heat wave. Justin, Electrician, came to the house first thing in the morning and got us up and running. Eric, Plumber, was at the house yesterday to install a new kitchen faucet. I couldn't be more pleased. Friendly, professional service. I've used this company for 6 years for everything from electrical work, installing a generator, etc. to HVAC work. Every person who has come out to the house has been very professional. They explain things well and follow-through to make sure the job is done right. Service stars is definitely a group of smart technicians but they are grossly overcharging for both service and installs. For one example, I was quoted $830.00 for replacing a ignitor on my boiler The total cost for install and service should be no more than the $300.00 and this is based on 4 *(yes 4!) other reputable quotes. I share this with others to make sure people don't get overcharged for work they need.

From the genuinely friendly person who answered the phone, to the apprentice cleaning up, every single person involved was courteous, friendly, and professional. I had 4 quotes to replace my central air system and Mike was the only person who measured my entire home and made sure to quote me for the proper size system. He spent time answer all my questions, he was honest on his responses and never tried to push anything more than what I needed. The turnaround time from meeting Mike to when Jeremy and his team showed up was quick. Jeremy and his crew were on time (both days), organized, clean and respectful of my home and yard. A/C went and with the heat and humidity my house up and down got to 86 degrees inside. This is a long story so to keep it as short as possible, the first company (AirServ) came diagnosed as capacitors needed to be replaced (60/5) but didn’t have them on the truck so tech said sorry will have to come back tomorrow. And the tech said he could go get the parts at supplier in Danbury but has to go to another service call. Wait he showed up 40 minutes early so you don’t have time before next service appointment? And these are very common capacitor sizes for Goodman units but had never even asked me prior to showing up. I called Service Stars and Marissa was amazing and was able to have a technician at my house within 20 minutes. She really went above and beyond to be flexible with schedules. Darryl showed up and was very thorough and explained exactly what the issue was, which by the way if only the capacitors were replaced the system would have eventually failed again due to faulty wires. Darryl replaced the effected wires and capacitors and I was up and running in no time. Very professional and not the sell you everything we can as some other companies are. I would recommend Service Stars to anyone, accommodating, professional, knowledgeable and reliable. THANK YOU Service Stars team!!!!!!

Extremely disappointed!! The technician came to provide a quote of replacing my old oil fired furnace but ended up pressing me to replace both the furnace AND AC for $13,500, after I repeated told him that I only needed the furnace replacement with my rationale and constraints well explained to him. He kept on selling him own agenda and refused to provide a furnace-only quote. Upon my request of escalation to his boss, he eventually was "permitted" to provide a furnace-only quote of $8,700, which turned out to be 2x the prices provided by two reputable HVAC companies. Ridiculous! They don't even deserve a one-star.. Stay alert and far away from them!

We just got our electric bill....and.... it was $15.00 cheaper than the previous month using only ceiling fans the previous month. Our usage , kw hrs, was 50% less than the same month last year with a window unit. The house is very comfortable and the unit is very quiet and so efficient. I just had to do an update. This unit blew my expectations away. I swear this is the truth.

We used Service Stars for their electrical expertise on our basement remodel. Jeremy rewired/installed over 20 recessed lights, a new panel box, vanity light fixture, in ceiling speakers and wired the entire house for network connectivity (no more buffering on the TV's due to poor wi-fi signal). Service Stars were great! I am a long time customer. I had a home renovation project for them where the house had been empty for 3 years. We did not know where to begin. These guys can think on their feet and don't need much direction. They came right in and helped us manage the critical parts of the project. You can always find someone to do small jobs but it is really hard to find a company that can do it all, heating, electric, airconditioning, plumbing and coordinate it completely. These guys are great. First Daryl came out to my house for an estimate. He then walked me through what they would be doing. I told him I was shopping around and he totally understood. No pressure at all. After shopping around I chose Service Stars for a few reasons: they treated me with respect, they were clean and really seemed to like what they do, a friend had reccommende them, plus they were the lowest price. When they came to install, very professional, all dressed neatly - they even have US flags on their shirts. The installation was done very well and to my satisfaction, they even vacuumed up afterwards. I told one of the guys "that's OK I can do it" his response was "not leaving until I clean it up". The HVAC system (Oil Heating + Central AC) in my house was gradually breaking down and had numerous problems over the years. I finally decided I needed to do future planning for at least a new Central AC Unit/System because I got tired of having freon put into it every year (the freon was getting more & more expensive every year!). FYI, I had a Heating Oil Furnace, w/ Storage Tank Water Heater (heated by burning oil) and Central AC Unit. So I googled HVAC contractors near me and called about 5-10 companies. I stopped calling companies for quotes after Darryl from Service Stars came over and discussed what the possibilities were. He went through my ENTIRE house and was VERY thorough in his calculations for the size of the new unit and discovered that my system had been oversized from the beginning! He even showed me that even some of the prior work had been done incorrectly and the work was just sloppy in general—no wonder my entire HVAC unit system worked terribly throughout all these years!!! We worked out a plan a few years ago for a new system, but our family couldn’t afford it at that time and I didn’t want to take a risk. But I was convinced that when I was ready for an HVAC upgrade, I would call Service Stars for the job! However, a few years went by and now my water heater was having problems! My Furnace had been making weird noises for years, but I decided on not replacing it back then, but it seemed time to do something drastic. Thank Jesus, that things were better financially for our family to take the risks and upgrade our entire system now, so I called Darryl again. Thankfully he still remembered and he was gladly willing to finally put something together again. This time I would not just be replacing just the oil furnace (now converting to GAS!) and AC unit, but the water heater as well. Also, my water heater was going to be upgraded from a storage tank unit to a Tankless Water Heater! Hey listen, if you have the money, by all means, spend wisely, but we didn’t, so we ended up financing the entire project—whatever route you choose for payment is up to your ability. We had to setup an appointment with the gas company to install the gas line and then Darryl’s brother, Jeremy could get his team in and start the installation. Once that was out of the way, Jeremy and his team took 1-2 weeks to do the entire job. And boy was I impressed! Jeremy and his guys addressed all my concerns/needs during the installation process and couldn’t be more polite/courteous. After the installation was finished, you couldn’t even tell someone had put in pipes through the ceiling. I highly recommend Service Stars for all your future HVAC needs! Lastly, Let me give you an important piece of information to take away, it’s not just the unit/system that you install but WHO & HOW they install it. Even if you have a Mercedes Benz Level type of system you’re going to be installing, if the contractor takes shortcuts to save money on his end, your HVAC system will perform poorly and it won’t be a mystery if you have problems over the years. A lot of times, it’s not necessarily the brand/unit that is bad, but the installer/contractor fast/sloppy work that made your HVAC system perform poorly. So if 1 of the contractors you call for estimates gives you an offer that is hundreds or thousands cheaper than some others, be wary! You get what you pay for—cheap price, terrible job. Don’t just go for the cheapest price quote, you’ll burn yourself doing this. I learned that the hard way. Don’t make the same mistake our family did years ago in trying to save yourselves pennies (in the long run you’ll pay more w/ all the repair visits etc.) and instead go with someone that seems trustworthy, will explain in detail what your options are and not afraid to answer any questions.
