He charged me $262.50 to remove and replace a single light fixture in my house. The going rate of $80 an hour. This bill is for over three hours with of work when it should have only been an hour. I'm living out of state and relied on my property manager to get this work done with a reasonable fee. In addition, he charged me $127.50 for inspecting an exterior light fixture that was damaged by the hail storm and already scheduled for replacement by the insurance company. This fee also included inspecting the interior light he replaced. All told, with buying the new fixture, having the old one removed, and installing the new fixture I paid over $500.

Gaddie Electric has completed lots of work for me over the years, most recently they ran the dedicated circuit for my new AC system. I requested that they run the electrical through the attic and down the inside of my wall in the garage, which they did. It looks very clean and passed the required building inspection. Their pricing is very reasonable compared to other companies in town like WireNut who were considerably higher and have questionable reviews.

I've only spoken with the owner, Mark, and can tell you sir... you need a lesson in costumer service. #1 if you forget your schedule, don't say, "Call me later today when I have my schedule." Instead, you should have said something like, "I apologize, I currently don't have my schedule with me. I can call you back later today to set an appointment with you." On the day you're scheduled and you're late, first of all, call your customer and inform them you'll be later than expected and ask if you can reschedule with them instead of the customer having to call you, ask when you'll be there, and you respond mumbling, sounding grouchy, and saying it'll be up to another hour and a half before someone gets to you. Finally, when your customer tells you they need to reschedule since you're late, you don't respond with "OK" and then hang up. Vey unprofessional and unorganized. If this is what the owner is like, can't imagine his staff is any better.
