Best Electric bids by the job, not by the hour, and then completes the job that day if you accept the quote. We were quoted $420 labor to replace a couple of existing light fixtures with new pendant fixtures. (We supplied the new fixtures.) I assumed that when we accepted the bid that this was going to be a two to three hour job, although that seemed high. My gut proved to be correct, as it only took an hour to an hour and a half to complete. In retrospect, I should have waited for a second bid from another company which charges by the hour (in their case, $100/hr.) But I didn't, so that's on me. To be fair, Joe is personable and I think he knows his stuff. And, if you have a busy schedule and can't afford to be off work for two separate days for two separate bids, then it makes sense to just pay the money and get the work done. If you have a more complex job, I'd certainly invite Best Electric to make a bid. But for simple, straightforward jobs, there are less expensive contractors out there.

Best Electric came out on very short notice to assist us in a "crisis". A technician working to install new internet and television service had accidentally drilled into the 220V line serving our electric range; the main breaker was thrown, leaving us in the cold and dark (temperature high on this day was less than 20 degrees!) Best Electric had the power up and running within a few hours. We were very pleased with his work ethic, professionalism, and knowledge. Thank you for your prompt response to our dilemma!!!

I called Best Electric Service late Friday afternoon to get an outlet installed in our basement for a tankless water heater. The receptionist that answered the phone was superb, kind and understanding. After I explained the need for a short-notice installation, her reply was-- give me 5 mins and I'll call you right back, I'll check to see if we can break an Electrician free to install the outlet this evening. She called me back in less than 5 mins and stated that Joe (Electrician) could be at our home in 30 mins. Joe, showed up on time, was very courteous, installed the outlets and upgraded our circuit breaker box to ensure the installation passed inspection. Great customer service, I'll highly recommend Best Electric Service.

We called and set up an appointment, which went fine and got an estimate for a light and ceiling fans. When we scheduled to have a light put in apparently he came but left and never called or told us why he never installed the light. After my husband had to call and see why the work wasn't done he said that he apparently left a note, which we have yet to find and apparently went to get another light and never came back or called to let us know of any issues. He told my husband the light we left didn't work so he left and we decided not to ask him to come back AGAIN! Since then we have found another electrician who used the exact light we left and it has been installed with no issues. Don't pay the $40 to get an estimate bc you will lose it bc he won't show up to do the work your hire him to do! Plus our FREE estimate from another electrician was $900 cheaper! Joe was going to charge us $500 to install each ceiling fan and our electrician we hired charged us $200 per fan!!! Poor customer service and ridiculously over priced!!! Apparently his other job in Denver was more important than our job. Very disappointed. I would recommend going with LZ Electric, as he was prompt, followed through with his work and fairly priced!

I cannot begin to thank Joe enough for the work he did! He went above & beyond! I was in the process of getting estimates for simply hanging a light fixture in my kitchen & Joe was the second company that came out. Once he showed up & gave me a verbal run down of what needed to be done, which was very reasonable, that was good enough for me. So my search was over. While here I showed him a switch outlet I was concerned about. Without saying a word, he went to his his truck for something, came back in & fixed it, for no extra charge! Who does that nowadays? The light fixture he was installing was a hand made one that weighed maybe 10 pounds or so & because of that the hardware provided wasn't adequate to hang the light correctly. He left and went & got the appropriate hardware. It took a lot longer but there was no extra charge. A few days prior to Joe coming over, a young man from American Electric came & gave me an estimate. He scared me to death making me think my house was going to burst into flames at anytime! He kept dramatically telling me if I don't get, this, or that, fixed then we could have a fire or if touching something plugged into an outlet during a storm, I'd be electrocuted by 2,000 volts passing through my body which would cause death! He also, again, with dramatics, told me that due to the way all of the outlets in my house were wired was a huge danger. He said that every year, 3,500 fires occur and 7,000 deaths from those outlets. How's that for a sales pitch? I'm not intentionally trying to bash anyone but that is not the way to get customers. I'm only trying to show the difference between a salesman & a person who has your best interests at heart. Joe checked everything out that the other company did & he said there's definitely not that huge of a problem. He did however agree that our electrical box needed to be replaced as it no longer meets code because they no longer make those. The other guy sat down & wrote a lengthy proposal & proceeded to call synchrony bank to get us approved for financing right on the spot when I had not even agreed to hire him. Very pushy. I know this is very long but I have one more thing to mention. Later that evening after Joe finished the job my garage door opener wouldn't work nor did one of the outlets in my house. I thought maybe he had accidentally done something for that not to work anymore. I called him & he came out soon after. Basically, it was something I did, not him. He fixed it within 2 mins or less with no charge. Joe charged me $228 for hanging my new light. American Electric, for the exact same thing that Joe did wanted $436. So, who are you going to go with?

We were hit pretty bad with this storm. a lot of hail damage with a lot of things and one was electrical. It was very refreshing to have Joe come out and not have to pay him just to show up, like the other companies i called. Joe came to fix a porch light that a contractor broke. There was a weird condition going on due to old brittle aluminum wire and the parallel path with other porch light. Joe stayed late to complete repairs even though the temps were in the teens. This guy is a very talented troubleshooter with one heck of a work ethic.
