Great service and quick response time. I called Amp to come out and repair some exterior lighting and replace a switch in a bedroom. They came out the next day picked up the parts and replaced the fixtures same day. Couldn't be happier.

This place is the best. I had a problem with my chest freezer tripping a gfi in my garage repeatedly. First electrician came out and said you can’t put a freezer on a gfi. The second was here for two hours and couldn’t figure out what was wrong, but offered to install a dedicated circuit that “might help” for $350. So I finally called Amp (wish I had sooner). Dan came out, took one look, and said the gfi was rated for 15 amp and the breaker was 20 amp. Took him ten minutes to change it out, and it’s running perfectly.

We needed repair on both our electric and generator box after we had major dig work done on that side of our house. Amp returned our call immediately, with all the rain they had to changed our appointment from yesterday to this morning, which was not a problem. Bill showed up exactly on time with a Carol Electric employee, it turned out to be an easy repair and the cost was more than reasonable. Bill's very personable and even did a honey do for me! Next time I need electrical work I will be calling Amp and I will recommend this company to my friends.

I saw so many positive reviews and called for an electrical issue that has been causing a lot of problems. The gentleman I spoke to said he would have someone call me first thing the following morning to schedule someone to come out and take a look and hopefully fix the issue. Nobody ever called me, so I called in the afternoon and the woman on the phone said the woman who scheduled appointments was on the phone, but she would give her my number to call me back as soon as she was done. Nobody ever called me back. It's been a week. I'm frustrated, and I guess at this point I'll try hunting down a different company that will give me the time of day.

I contacted AMP online to get an estimate for a transfer switch installation for my portable generator (this was in October 2015), and after trading a couple of phone calls, we set up a date and time to meet. I left work early to be home to meet the electrician, and he was late. Not that big a deal, life happens. I'd done some research on what the hardware and installation should cost, so I had a general idea of the ballpark he should be in with his estimate. The electrician seemed very knowledgable as to what he was talking about, and we discussed different options and his past experiences as to what could be run off different sizes of portable generators. So I was a bit surprised when I asked about the hardware cost, and the response was "whatever Home Depot is selling them for." After that, he told me he'd check on the price of the hardware and give me a call back on total installation cost. Two months later, and I've still not heard back from AMP. With that said, I've found an installer that gave me a fair price on the installation and actually encouraged me to look at pricing for a couple of different transfer swtiches and panels, and told me to buy it wherever I could get the best price. I'll post a review of his service/installation once completed. Perhaps AMP just didn't want to do the installation, though I'm not sure why - it was a pretty simple installation (panel is in the garage, could hook up right by it and be done. Whether that was the case or not, it's pretty bad service to never follow up, and I'm not desperate enough to chase anyone to let me do business with them.

Wall outlet issue. Called AMP and electrician was able to make visit same day due to appointment cancellation. Electrician was very courteous, professional, informative and quickly diagnosed issue and ensured opportunity was resolved before leaving. Charges were very reasonable. Bill is such an honest electrician when he gets a service call, he asks if you've tried resetting the button on the electrical outlet plate and the breaker box. Sometimes things just get tripped and need to be reset.

They are refusing to replace my cooktop or reimburse me. They are very unprofessional. The owner will not even answer phone or return my phone calls.
