They were able to answer all of my questions and the lady at the front desk said they will transfer as much of my UW credit over to my new degree. It was an all around great experience.

I attended from 2014-2016. Most of my instructors went above and beyond when any issues arose from myself or one of my classmates. My only issue was having my advisor switched three times in my two years at the college. It made planning my classes rather frustrating, but in the end my advisors and I made it happen. This school has an amazing Criminal Justice program that I recommend to anyone looking for their Associate’s or using this school as a stepping stone to going to university.

I was at Laramie County Community College from 2009 through 2012. Just walking into a classroom, passing a cleaning person in the hall, or the look in some of the employee’s eyes you could feel the tension and fear in the air from the employees. It was thicker than ham and bean soup. Any past, current, or future students need to know of the LCCC scandals of 2010. The local newspapers seemed to print a new LCCC scandal about every week in 2010. They still maintain those scandalous stories in their online website. I will place a small search list of 10 or 20 of them at the end of my comments. There are many others available. You may need to login or set up a user name and account to fully review them online. LCCC never seemed to have any local newspapers available at the school. They always seemed to have a Casper Wyoming newspaper available but none from Cheyenne. I would assume that was probably because the Cheyenne newspaper was printing the scandals of 2010. It seemed like the scandals continued for well over a year and I suspect it may have gone on for many years earlier without the public having knowledge of the problems at LCCC. There were rumors floating around for months that there were late night raids in the employee's offices by LCCC security. The rumors floating about sounded like they were searching for the person or persons who revealed the scandals about the president to the public. My understanding was they never found any evidence of who or whom was leaking the information. The LCCC board paid the president 350_thousand dollars for his resignation. Can you actually believe they paid that huge amount of money for this person to quit? What a RIP OFF for the most needy students who cannot afford an education. At that time 350_thousand dollars would have paid the tuition for nearly 150 students to earn an associates degree. The sad part was the LCCC board approved this pay off only seconds after the start of the open meeting. The people did not even take their seats before the decision was made. Many people thought that they had made that decision prior to the event. Even nearly ten years later the LCCC fiascos of 2010 will leave this school with a very badly tainted reputation that is long lasting for decades to come. I am disgusted and ashamed to even admit that I ever attended this pathetic excuse of an institution. I recently just started a new computer software company. I will hire students from Colorado schools and avoid students from LCCC altogether. While the students are far removed from the LCCC fiascos of 2010 I cannot afford allowing the bad image of LCCC in my door. Maybe you should consider attending a reputable college avoiding the bad image of LCCC. In short Laramie County Community College completely ruined my college experience. IMO LCCC is a very BAD choice for your education. Simply search each article title in your Cheyenne Wyoming local newspaper website. Then just click on the article title to enter the full article. Where should I begin. Between the racial segregation that still exist on a college level is ridiculous. I had two great instructor the whole time I was there. Then I find out my English instructor was fired recently. Apparently this college like many in America, want slave minded individuals. Being taught to think for yourself, question authority, and being a free thinker. Is a thing of the past. Mr. Huseman for example, thought he was experienced enough to discuss the "N" in his class. It just goes to show how the administration runs this so called learning institution. Ms. Rachel was an English teacher, who taught students to be free thinkers. But the college had other plans for her. Unfortunately, she was the instructor that was let go. If like being segregated, having instructors who don't care if you pass, or fail. Then this is the college for you. Please think twice, before committing to this school. This is a terrible college. Major changes need to happen, starting with the administration.

I'm my opinion it is a horible school, the instructors don't work very well with students especially the students taking online classes. The hours of the testing center absolutely SUCK they should stay open longer especially on a flipping Friday I mean 8 to noon really that's ridiculous. I wouldn't recommend this school at all

I went here before going to UW and I had nothing but good experiences here. The instructors were all great and the best part was the fact that you don't have 150+ students in your classes. Seriously take your lab sciences here instead of the University of Wyoming.

Going to LCCC is an amazing idea unless you're considering online classes. The instructors and advisors have been nothing but helpful throughout my first year here. Although, I did take an online class and I wouldn't reccommmend it to anybody. The communication sucks and the teachers aren't cooperative. Overall LCCC is a great idea as long as you're aware of how horrible online is here.

My daughter and I had the privilege of being advised by Bess. Her professionalism and caring attitude for my daughter was off the map. She didn’t just communicate the requirements to sign up but made a connection with my daughter. My daughter is looking forward to attending classes at LCCC. Please pass on this father’s enormous gratitude for her 5-Star Service. In my previous position, I was an academic advisor and understand it is not always the easiest job. However, it is key to setting the initial impression of the school. In our humble opinion she set an AWESOME standard for the school. Thank you so much for putting students first!

Love it here :) I've been a student here for a few years and am nearly finished with a degree in Multimedia. Being a community college LCCC isn't very expensive, but I still struggled at first to afford going here as it's hard to find a job that's willing to work around a school schedule that changes every semester. I was able to get in on the work-study program working at LCCC and they were very flexible with my hours to accomidate school. My work-study job related to the degree I'm working on so I was able to gain real world experience putting to use the things my teachers are teaching me. Overall I'm pleased with the education and expereince I've recieved at LCCC. The staff and teachers are willing to go an extra step to help you succeed. The students and community as a whole are representative of the small-town, kind and welcoming feel you get everywhere in Cheyenne.

I decided not to attend, because my adviser for the Physical Therapy program went out of his way to discourage me from this program. I would say this is not a college geared to working adults. I also found his attitude towards me insulting because he seemed to think working adults couldn't keep a decent GPA. I refuse to pay for a school that will not provide decent customer service or advisers. My advice is to take classes from a an online school. This state school is severely lacking in professionalism and diversity.

LCCC is a great place to go to college. Cheap and small class sizes make it a great transition from high school

Very little to love here. Oh your a new student? You HAVE to spend money on this class that will not apply to any degrees and it's what was covered in highschool. Also you have to go to orientation. Also, we decide what classes you should take by our advisors which have to register for you. Oh your leaving because most of our instructors are babbling biased Idiots who treat you like garbage and/or have no idea what they're talking about? Well then, you have to pay off your student loans. What's that? You never took any student loans out and paid for it yourself? Tough luck, give us more money! Oh and like 0 of our classes will transfer over to any other college. So if you spend a year here and go elsewhere guess what, you got to start over. Struggle in math? Our math courses force you to spend 2 hours a day in a lab with old crabby women who get super angry at you for asking simple questions. Let's just say, our math program sucks butt. (PS. Even if you do stick around, and fulfill your degree requirements, you STILL gotta apply to graduate which we can deny with a push of a button. You have no contril here.) If after reading this and you're still interested in going here, don't say I didn't warn you. These guys are idiots.

they are there for your money no LCCC employee cares about you better spending your money and getting a decent education somewhere else

Kelsie swanson

The school is refusing to answer any questions or get back to me regarding a rebuttal on a class and it had been a month now... all they want is your money and will not even try to solve an issue.
