Diesel Driving School is offers a great program for getting into any type of CDL application but at the same time isn't overly lengthy. They offer different length and different in-depth courses. I enrolled in the three week class and feel that I have learned more then enough to pass my state CDL exam. The instructors all have numerous years of previous experience in the truck driving field. The program is also not as expensive as I thought. One thing that I would like to see change is the downtime, your assigned with a group and each person has to equal the next in drive time, with that in mind when it's not your turn to drive or practice backing up you sit around, however I still believe it's a good program and you learn while watching your partners drive as much if not more then when your behind the wheel. I enjoyed my time at Diesel Driving school and I would recommend it as a first choice when finding a school to enroll in for getting a CDL.

I attended Diesel Driving School from February 2014 - March 2014 in Sun Prairie, WI. I found my experience at the school to be very educational. I previously had no experience driving a truck nor dealing with a truck engine; and literally knew nothing about the components on a truck and have never driven a stick shift on a vehicle previously to attending the school. I met a lot of interesting people and found the staff to be very knowledgeable. They were always willing to answer my questions and always went the extra mile to make sure I understood what I was doing. I wasn't crazy about how early in the morning we started classes but I suppose it was necessary to make sure we spent enough time learning. Upon graduation and passing the state road exam, I was able to secure employment within a month with Swift Transportation which is one of the companies that recruit at the school. I have been very happy driving a Big Rig and would advise anyone who is interested in learning truck driving to consider the program at the Diesel Driving School.

I have been looking for a change and started looking into trucking DDS was the only school I could find that was a good prices for what you get the instructors have the tons of patience for new drivers and they have a job placement center for life good school

Great school, I went here back in the mid 90's I never planed to be trucking this long, yet it has provided a great income over the years & has supported the family very well. So I say THANK YOU to the school for the time they take with you as a student. I have never gone back but one day I will I very much look forward to such a day. I am currently in the 2 week CDL training class. The instructors at the school are great and very knowledgeable. Since I have been here I have learned a lot from the school. I would highly recommend the school to others. The experience is great and has prepared me to get a class A CDL driving job.

The Diesel Truck Driving School in Sun Prairie, WI. is a scam. They are not honest and do not portray student's chances of getting a job after graduation honesty. They are a for-profit school. There business is to sell classes, not help graduates get jobs. My son-in-law graduated from this school. He did very well in his classes. He asked them before signing up for the Truck Driving classes what his chances of getting a job driving truck after graduation. He informed them he had a dirty drug test previously. They told him he would have a very good chance of getting hired by a trucking company after graduation, even though he had had a dirty drug test previously. After incurring the debt of $5000 and graduating, he found out that he couldn't get a truck driving job for 5 years after a dirty drug test and that the classes were unnecessary. After 5 years, he could have gotten a truck driving job even if he hadn't taken the truck driving classes in Sun Prairie. It was just a scam. The school lied to him. Now he has a $5000 debt at 21% interest and no truck driving job, just a minimum wage job. He is in deep financial trouble because he went to the Diesel Truck Driver Training in Sun Prairie. These people will lie to you. They will take your money and leave you in deep debt with no chance of getting a job driving truck. No matter what they tell you DO NOT BELIEVE THEM!!!!

I recently joined the dds trucking school this fall. I am pleasantly happy with the school overall. The instructors they have working at this school are top notch. They are willing to spend the time to work with you so that you are ready to become a professional driver. They work with you to make sure that you have all the tools you need to safely drive a CMV! I'm currently in the class right now for my cdl and I have to say this place is great. the people are very professional and knowledgeable. they take their time with you and teach you how to do everything at the right time. if your struggling with one part they go out of their way to make sure you understand the material. I just love diesel truck driver training I always wanted to be a truck driver. And I got that opportunity 1979. My instructor were Don and ed I miss the old cub over Kw.My first truck was a 1979 cub over international its feel good to see photos of the old red cub over Ford's.keep on trucking guys

I went to the two week CDL training course in November 2011. I really liked the people at the school. They were very professional. The facilities and equipment we trained on were excellent. My driver trainer Mike was very knowledgeable and experienced. The instructors did everything they could to make sure we were ready to pass our skills tests and be successful CDL drivers. The school had many other training opportunities for trucks and heavy equipment that a person could consider. The school living quarters were clean and comfortable too. I would recommend it to everyone.

Took the two week class in 2010. Dan was my instructor and all 4 in our group tested in Portage and passed. Our factory shut down in 2008 and being 55 years old back then, truck driving school was an easy choice. They welcome all age groups.

I am about to do the crane class coming from San Antonio Texas do they really help you get certification and help you get a job or do they lie to you and take your gi bill money. I know a lot of trade school do that

I'm currently enrolled in the Class A CDL two week course here @ Deisel Driving School in Sun Prairie WI. The program here provides you with the skills and training needed to be a successful cdl driver/holder. The school itself is a nice learning environment to be in and the instructors here are all very knowledgeable and easy going individuals. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to becoming a driver or just obtain a cdl lisence.

I enrolled in the 3 week program at DDS after I completed my 6 weeks of heavy equipment training. And I have to say that the instructors are very helpful with helping you on your on road driving, to completing your backing exercises! Overall great school and I encourage anyone to come here!

I first went to the Heavy Equipment School and completed all the courses. I learned that i should have my cdl while going in to heavy equipment field. I did my research about the Diesel Driving school. I applied and got in and for a pretty decent of a price! My first day was a little nervous because i had never drove manual but they took us because your in a group of four at most and showed me and my other fellow students how to drive the truck the right way. Not only a week later making progress, they prepare you for your test by showing you and going over it everyday so that way you are able to remember everything for the test. The instructors are really easy to talk to and they will answer any question you need answered. The program may seem a little repetitive but at the end of the three weeks you have learn from front to rear of the tractor trailer you'll need to know for you test. The school also has a bunch of different program lengths they have weekend classes, three week class, four week class that will work with your schedule when it works for you.

Highly recommended to start your truck driving career. Instructors are super helpful and willing to teach!! I come from a family business where they don't have time to teach me everything, they sent me here and I absolutely love it! You get plenty of practicing backing up trailers, highway miles, in town miles, and going over your truck to learn more about it!! I recommend this school to anyone regardless of experience in trucking!!

Just passed the state exam. I recommend if your not a good listener, don't attend this school. Also, if you have no idea on how to drive stick take the 4 week course, but if you have some experience driving stick take the 2week course, it's all about your RPM's. Great instructors, Bill and the 2 Steve's were great. Would recommend this to everyone.
