Daniel is a very courteous and patient instructor who immediately put me at ease about taking the road test. I highly encourage anyone needing drivers education or a road test to call National. They got me in on a Saturday without hesitation. Thank you for being so easy to work with!

Daniel helped me out a lot. When I came and wanted to schedule I found out that his schedule was full untill 27th of August. I needed my driver's education as soon as possible. We drove on his lunchtime and after his office hours. He was really helpful. I totally recommend this place.

I can't trust this guy and I've never met him. By the responses he gives to customers on this forum shows me what lack of respect there is for people. There's no appologies for legitimate issues, just excuses and anger. Very poor customer service. Not going here.

Friend took test here and was marked off for what seemed to be the instructor's opinion of rules instead of actual rules. The handbook for the state of utah says nothing of signaling right before backing. It does not define a "follow distance" at a stopped red light and certainly doesn't define tailgating as such. Signaling surrounding three point turns is also not defined in the handbook. Looking at the Utah State driver's handbook shows nothing of these rules my friend was marked off on. The instructor was nice and I don't think he was out to get anyone, I'm just confused why he is testing on things that aren't in the rulebook. Not saying my friend was perfect but I don't know how one prepared for a test where the answers aren't the ones in the official rulebook. UPDATE: Since he replied I just want to say that calling someone "ignorant" as a business owner is pretty not cool. My friend has since taken her test and passed and we asked the actual DMV about these rules- they said we were correct; they are not actual rules. To the business owner, I am sorry that you felt the need to lash out at someone trying to give a fair review of your business. I still gave you a 3/5 which is positive. You decided to be rude and I guess that's your decision. I am now lowering my review because of this unprofessional behavior.

Daniel and Isreal care about you. They do not judge you no matter how inexperienced, anxious or old you are. They give you honest and kind advice and they will talk with you the whole time in order to ease your mind. They have safe student driver cars and a good self teaching curriculum online. They make sure you feel ready by taking as many lessons as you need. They are flexible and will schedule you when they have an opening and are always willing to reschedule and cancel. Not to mention they are both hilarious guys who have a lots of fun teaching you. Their collective knowledge on how to explain things is amazing and they are completely forgiving when you've made a mistake. I love them both very much and will never forget them. They truly made me feel safe and made sure I got my money's worth so that I for sure understood how to drive. Best driving school I could've asked for. I didn't even need all 6 lessons and I had driver anxiety for 3 years. In less than a week I was able to take my passing drivers test to Daniel and he signed off on my schooling completion with a smile and a hug.

i’m so grateful i found national driving school. i’ve always been afraid of having a scary instructor or people i’m driving with judging me but i had the BEST experience here. my instructor Israel helped me so much. he was so patient and the groups i drove with were so friendly. i also got it done in 5 days and it was only $250. would 100% recommend.

I called in having questions about the school and it’s program. Daniel, the owner, answered no questions and simply told me to go to their “Q & A” section of the website and hung up on me. I found that to be so shocking and rude from a school that has basically 5 stars.That does not show good business ethic and definitely isn’t a good first impression. I wanted to get my liscense fast and easy and this was the best place to do so. Instead of wasting half a year at school i was able to complete the course in 1 week. Daniel and Israel and some of the calmest, nicest, people that I've ever met. They take their job's seriously as they train you in the ways to drive, they always give constructive feedback, and sometimes they even take you out for a treat (I had at least three different times during my six lessons). Not only all that but they have one of the cheapest prices in town, and can get you scheduled and taken care of in a couple days, and they actually get to know and care about you unlike some people who are just in it for the money. Thanks to them I've been able to get my driver's Education done in one go (whereas I had friends who had to try multiple schools), and I was able to pass my Road Test on the first try (whereas I had friends who failed because their driving instructors didn't tell them what they were doing wrong). Honestly one of the best places I've ever spent some of my money, these guys are great! It's also cool to know that since going their school has grown significantly and they have been expanding at a crazy rate as well as getting other teachers/testers hired. If you have any doubts just read other google reviews, they show the truth.

On the first day, I was super nervous about driving, but he was so kind and patient with me, making sure that I was confident enough to approach the next few days (I took an intensive three days of behind the wheel practice to take the road test right after those three days). He taught me everything I needed to know to pass the road test without fail - and the best thing is, his school is a guaranteed pass, because if you aren't ready by the end of the 6 hours behind the wheel/6 hours observation, Daniel will kindly offer additional hours for practice at no cost. This is not more than a lemonade stand. DO NOT GO HERE. I understand you are trying to make a living but you need to work. I have sent my daughter for classes but did not pass the test because did not teach her what was going to be on her test sir. She is been driving for 3 years. I should have not sent my step son to you this time it is my fault for giving you another chance. He has been driving for 5 years and you only took his money and drove him around places but never took the time to correct his mistakes like stopping behind the stops, etc. He went to take the final road test and guess what people? my son failed because he was never told how to do the maneuvers. No secretary, cheap place but not in a good way. I see now how he replies to reviews by excusing himself (DO NOT CONTACT ME YOU ARE ERASE FROM OUR LIST FOREVER)

This is my third attempt at Driver's ed. I had pretty much resigned myself to public transportation because I was so frightened behind the wheel! In a moment of empowerment I decided to try one last time. I'm so glad I did! Daniel is such a good teacher! He was so patient and encouraging! I drove all the way from Syracuse down to Taylorsville because originally it was the only program that I could find with openings earlier than July 13th. Best choice I honestly could’ve made. Daniel and Brenda are both super fun and very knowledge. They know what they’re doing and they have fun while doing it. I came back to Utah to get my license so I could drive back out for work, I’ve already been driving for a bit with my permit so Daniel worked with me to make it go as fast as possible and still teach me what I didn’t know. I feel like a much better driver after only about a week of taking this course. Would definitely recommend this to anyone, regardless of where you live in Utah. It was worth the drive in my opinion.

All the reviews look promising so far. Hopefully someone picks up... Edit: Still, no one has picked up or called me back and I've called like 5 times and left my number. This is going down to one star if I have to wait much longer to even talk to someone. Edit 2: I understand the lack of employees at the time.

I went to National driving school cuz it had the highest reviews in the whole valley. I had no expectation because I wanted to learn effectively how to drive in a short time. How to get there: Follow your GPS and park in their parking lot if you can't park infront try parking at the back of the building. Enter from the front and you will first see a receiving desk, usually there's no person there. You can go directly to their office without signing in, just go all the way to the right. When you get to the hallway, you will see the room to the right that has their logo. Remember to call before going there because Daniel and his other instructor are not always there because they're teaching. The process: When you sign up for a driving class, you have to make sure that you already have your learner's permit. If you go there and you don't have your learner's permit Daniel will give you a reviewer that is 18 hours worth of materials and it's available online and physically. Once you have your learner's permit, go and call Daniel right away and he will give you instructions. Then, you'll get scheduled for your classes, it will be for 12 hours; 6 hours in observing, 6 hours in driving. The coolest thing about this is if you don't learn within those 12 hours with him he is more than willing to invest more time in you to learn. He personally gave me two to three hours more just so I could get my confidence to pass my driving test and it was in short notice to which is very open of him and his team. The experience: I want to give a heads-up that I had no prior experience and driving when I started with Daniel. Both him and his instructor were really Hands-On and patient with me. They would give you pointers whilst you're driving and while you're learning, they will correct you right away. Takeaway: A cool fact that Daniel was able to share to me is that in seven years that the school has been around he's had no accident. If this is not a testament of how good the driving school is then I don't think there's another way to prove it. I definitely recommend the driving school to everyone in the valley and everyone outside of it, it is super worth the drive. OH, AND I ACED THE DRIVING TEST. WHOO!! Thanks you guys!!

Daniel is a knowledgeable and great instructor but you should only join this driving school if you have some experience with driving to know the rules. In my case, I never touched the driving wheel before I joined the school,even after my six driving classes ( 4 hours of actual driving)I was not still good enough to pass the road test. Overall, its a good school to learn safe driving and know the rules if you have some prior experience but 6 classes are not enough to learn driving from scratch...

I also come from a family of very aggressive/dangerous drivers, which contributed to my anxiety behind the wheel. I decided to try again this year, and after looking over reviews, I chose to go with National Driving School. I am happy that I did. Just 5 lessons later, and I finally have my DL, and the confidence to become an experienced, defensive driver! Daniel has this remarkable (almost magical) ability to calm down even the most anxious of drivers' with his mellow attitude and positive energy. He even helped me feel comfortable enough to go on the fwy, which I didn't think was possible. I highly recommend this school to anyone. My daughter had a bad experience driving with a teacher at her high school. I found this school and took her here. The teacher was kind, professional, and so helpful. I am so glad to know this is here. Rates are very reasonable.

Daniel is an amazing teacher, with just a few lessons from him and I felt very confident about driving. In every class he lets the student focus on those areas that makes us nervous. He is never tired of going over the same maneuvers when we have a hard time at grasping the concept. I would highly recommend him to anyone who want to be a confident driver. The only drawback, if at all, was that he was always overbooked , and so some days it was hard to get the full driving hour behind the wheel. But I did not not mind since he could teach very well , in that time.

Dont waste your time making an appointment for a driving road test. He isnt punctual and obviously not professional. My driving test was schedule for 4pm i got there at 3:55pm and he was helping other customers. He told me to wait so i sat down. Once he came out of his office he asked me "what time was your appointment?". Then i replied "at 4pm" he then said "oh ok, ill be with you soon". Then walks out to do a drivers test with SOMEBODY ELSE. He is very unprofessional, couldnt even offer an apology. DO YOU NOT HAVE A SCHEDULE YOU FOLLOW? I have other things to do as well and I made a schedule for today based on what time my drivers test was. You wasted so much time out of my day. UPDATE: The owner replied and once again shows how unprofessional he is. But at least he admitted to not having time for a road test! He says for many reasons appointments overlap. Well if there's many reasons, maybe you should think about that before setting up appointments so close to each other. As a businessman, you should treat customers better. You said "ill be with you soon" and walked out. GREAT ACKNOWLEDGMENT!! Hahaha you are ridiculous. I had to follow you out to the car and ask whats going on. You were doing a driving test with somebody else at 4pm. My appointment was at 4pm. You really think I want to pay money to a person with horrible customer service skills? Please learn to be professional, I'm sure business will be better for you in the future.

In my experience this is the best driving school out there that I know of. The instructor is really polite and honest. I already can drive good and I just wanted to know how the driving test is going to be. So I registered for a couple of classes with him. When he saw me driving good, he encouraged me and corrected somethings. Also taught me somethings that will be in the driving test. He even took me on the highway the same day and told me I am good at driving. He gave me the driving test on the same day and I passed. Now I have my license. I strongly recommend this driving school to anybody

This is THE BEST place to go when want to go another route besides learning from a coach at the high school! It's super easy to set up your appointments, and Daniel at the Taylorsville location is one-in-a-million! This is a great driving school. My son is an ESL learner and is lack of confidence on taking the test. The teacher here is very very friendly and is very patient with him. He has taught him how to do each part right. After failing three times in other places (2 at school and 1 at another place), we went here to take a private driving lesson first. This driving school has in its employ an irresponsible instructor. The first time a student was behind the wheel of a car, the instructor had the student on a major street going 55 miles per hour. This is bad because the student was totally inexperienced which could have led to an accident and may have been too traumatized to try to drive again. The second time, the student waited nearly 1 hour for the instructor. This school is NOT the only school out there. Look carefully at the reviews of all schools before paying hundreds of dollars for a "safe" driving schools.

This is seriously the best driving school their is! First off, let me tell you that the "finish in 5 days" claim is real!!! Yup you can be done in 5 days! :) Next, Daniel is SOOO nice and so awesome to work with! He is super nice when teaching you to drive and soo patient. Also Cynthia is awesome too. She is really fun and such a wonderful and patient lady! They teach you in a way that is not pressured or anything. You can ask question after question and they dont get annoyed or anything! i had about 20 questions in mind and i asked every single one and they were so nice!!!! I mean look at all their reviews and all but 2 (completely isolated incidents if you read) are all 5 stars! that has to mean something!!! Again, Daniel is so wonderful, he isnt just an instructor, he is a friend to all of his students. i really hope that you guys choose National Driving School when looking around. It was a wonderful experience working with Daniel. I did six hours of his one on one driving lessons. In high school I failed my test but Daniel worked with me personally and taught me tricks I never learned in at my high school. He is good teacher and without him I wouldn't have my licence. National Driving school isn't there just the money, its there for YOU. The staff is nice and if there is a mix up they'll sort it out. They did it for me, they can do it for you too.

The online courses allow you to learn everything at your own pace, which is great if you have a busy schedule or need to get the course done quickly. Daniel is a wonderful and to-the-point instructor who is easy to laugh with and talk to. This course is very time efficient and flexible; You can accomplish things very quickly if you plan right. Things are very busy, so call and plan your drives a few weeks in advance ! After filling out a short workbook, taking a few online tests, and driving for three days I was able to graduate from Driver's Ed (with Daniel providing some nice drive thru food on the side...) Wonderful place. Do recommend.
