Within the last year, I have taken the CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ classes thru New Horizons Nashville, TN. I have taken the certification tests and acquired certifications in A+ and Network+. Having just completed the Security+ class, the next step is to take the Security+ certification exam sometime in the future. Shane, Francis, and Tracy have been great to work with. Shane is very knowledgeable and always has a good word of advice. Francis is super at helping schedule the exam tests and classes and keeping things going smoothly. Tracy reached out to employers and within a couple weeks of acquiring the A+ certification I had a job. No doubt the course work is intense but the resources are in place at New Horizons Nashville to help. Thanks to All.

From the staff, my Education Counselor Lisa Kelley took the time to listen to what I was looking for then helped me choose which classes would be best for me given what I wanted to accomplish. The class instructor Loretta McDonald is extremely knowledgeable with multiple degrees, certifications, and years of experience in the field. She makes sure that everyone in class understands the course material and why it’s important to your healthcare career. Ms. Loretta creates a fun and relaxed environment that makes learning easier. However, the main thing about Ms. Loretta is that if you’re willing to put in the work and participate in the learning process she’ll be right there with you to answer your questions, to make sure you understand the course material and that you can pass the certification exam(s). New Horizons of Nashville has a 2-year career placement service that will help you in your job search and to help prepare you for a position after you’ve passed your exam(s). Tracy Sullivan is an awesome resource for the entire student body. She helped me rewrite my resume for the position I wanted instead of my previous position. Although, New Horizons does not guarantee job placement, New Horizons does provided you all the tools and resources you’ll need to find your next position. Everyone at New Horizons Nashville is 100% committed to helping you succeed, from the President to the IT Tech, other instructors, to the receptionists. The receptionist(s) will become one of your most favorite New Horizons staff member(s). They greet you with a big smile and an exuberant hello each morning, which helps your mental well-being, and for your constitutional well-being freshly baked chocolate chip cookies every day at 2:00 PM; just awesome. Again, check them out, I think you’ll be very pleased with New Horizons' approach to higher learning.

I came to NH through the WIOA program. Lisa Kelly is a fantastic advisor who helped me tailor a program that exactly met my needs. I enrolled in two classes, both taking advantage of the remote distance learning option using Adobe Connect. I attended both classes from my computer at home. The lessons are world class, and the instructors are subject matter experts in their fields. Both instructors really care about their students, and I am still in email contact with both. This is an organization that you can trust to help you hone the skills you need on the job, or determine a course of study to launch you to the next level. I strongly endorse New Horizons. They offer a mind boggling array of I.T. courses in a beautiful scenic setting. My Education Consultant/Coordinator Shane was both knowledgeable and very professional in helping me understand what skill sets are set for growth and highly sought after by employers. Great settings and location are meaningless without a good system of delivering high quality technical training to a variety of ways people respond to learning. I was sold when sampled them all, instructor lead,web based.hands on, recorded with access to instructors by chat, text books and manuals on line and PDF'(e-books). Self paced or follow along is there to choose from at will. All of my instructors are certified with real world I.T. experience and are happy to explain and break down concepts without sounding condescending. What more could I ask for??? More equipment for hands on. I have acquired some on my own cheap or free, which aid me in my quest for technical excellence........

I have taken numerous classes New Horizons Nashville and couldn’t be happier. Jennifer Miller my account executive is awesome and extremely knowledgeable and caring. Jennifer’s knowledge in the process of setting me up with a plan and applying the GiBill towards my certification training was apparent from day one. I was out of work and trying to get back into IT after being out for 6 years and she had me hit the ground running. I am now employed with a lot of help from Tracy Sullivan on my resume and interview skills along with her numerous career contacts within Nashville I was able to get numerous interviews with the only problem being which job to take. The instructors are very knowledgeable and all the instructors I had answered any questions I had and kept the class on task. New Horizons gives you the tools to be successful and especially love the virtual server access when it comes to getting ready for a performance based exam. The tools are given and along with that it is up to the individual to do their part and prepare for the exam by studying. You walk in the door and you feel welcome. Top veteran friendly company in my opinion.

I was starting over after nearly twenty years in another industry when I discovered New Horizons. I'd always been technically savvy, and I've always been interested in the world of technology, so I reached out to them and met with an account representative just a few days later. From there, I took four classes to earn CompTIA certifications -- I learned as much in a six-month period as I had in the last few years at my previous job. The staff was friendly and helpful; the teachers were excellent -- the courses were intensive, but very interesting, and each prepared me to pass the certification exam. After I got my certifications, the job placement staff helped me update my resume and reach out to potential employers, and within a week, I had several job interviews, and within a month, I was employed as a Technical Analyst at an IT provider. Without the great staff of New Horizons, I might not have made the transition into a new and exciting job field. Thank you all!

The classes are very interactive in person and remotely online. The instructors knew how to break down material in several ways to help me digest the material in a way I learn. The study guide and hands on activity software helped alot.

This should not be labeled as a school. It's actually a private resource center/E-library. Posing as a caring, money hungry learning center I went here for a year. I paid for several courses, and all I got was several 5 day live instructor courses that would later be recorded for 6months. You can email the instructor with any questions. But nothing will be live again. Unless you pay for it again. Oh and u cant download the class either. They make u use a horrible program called Adobe connect. Anyways I got sent home for quietly talking to another student then got cursed out another day by the secretary for guess what TALKING!. How come the other students who talk louder than me didnt get sent home or cursed out? Is it cause I'm a disabled vet? An easy target? Then when the course was over they had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to sign up for some more lol!!! Needless to say I went to a bigger better school where there are instructors, you can ask questions, and even talk to your peers. Just like a REAL school should. You can actually go to a real library for free and get the same experience as going to New Horizons Computer Learning Center except it won't cost you thousands of dollars. And no I don't want to waste anymore time and money talking to yall. Nashville exposed!!

The Staff and Instructors at New Horizons of Nashville are World Class. I've been in the computer and education industry for over 30 years and I've seen a lot. The instructors have decades of experience at teaching these certification classes. As you might expect, some of the material is a bit dry, but the instructors do a great job to keep it upbeat and engaging. These guys, instructors and staff, go out of their way to make sure you have what you need to be successful. If you want a great option for obtaining the information and skills needed to be successful in the IT industry, New Horizons would certainly be at the top of my list.

low grade education, do not waste your funding here. Read whole detailed description. As for the Adobe course, it is all over adobe connect which causes alot of issues. There are for seperate sections, which takes hours just to get set up and you hardly learn a thing. I use adobe programs for everything now because im in school for software development. But everything i learned was from you tube because New Horizons content was so terrible, literally worthless. When i took the certification test, New Horizons was not prepared and had to re order my test which took several hours. Come to find out they ordered a test for Adobe Certified Associate which is the certification for the worthless teachers over the Connect program. Finally, they ordered me the test and it was for Adobe Photoshop 2015.....I have Adobe Creative Cloud so every program is 2018 and updated frequently. The text book new horizons sent me was for the 2017 version. There is a substantial difference between 2015 and 2017 photoshop version. I failed the test. But the thing is, i know photoshop. I love it and i use it for everything. The test is so farfetched that New horizons literally teaches you nothing about the material covered on the test. Its very advanced and you need to know photography, luminosity, and so much more than the program. New Horizons is literally stealing your money and paying for the test which is 150 dollars which any one can pay for. But they charge you $2000.00 , and tell you they will only pay for three exams. Stay away from this place. My friend is a graphic designer and owns his own company and has no qualifications related to it. Your experience and portfolio is what will be noticed. New Horizons was a complete waste

After long time staying home taking care of my kids, I decided to get back to work, and to be good for that, I had to prepare myself very well.. New Horizon was the best, the staff was great, my training Coach was great, always support me and she did her best to answer all my questions about the trainings and how things going on.. All the staff always asking about "how is ur training going" .."do you need any more recordings before you take the test".. They really do care about their students.

I was out of work and desparately looking for a job when Shane Willmon actually found me. I was at a job fair at a hotel near Briley Parkway. Shane introduced me to the WIOA program. When he told me I could get my certifications for free, I jumped on it! I have two certifications and working on the last one, which will give me my MCSD in software development. I've learned a lot studying the archived videos and can't wait to get my MCSD. New Horizons has been a blessing for me.

I really enjoyed the variety of learning scenarios., The "live" classroom instructors and the "online" instruction offered me a lot of flexibility in the scheduling of my courses. And, since the courses are recorded, I could use them over and over again during my review to be successful at test time. All staff members are very supportive and helpful. New Horizons also provides job placement support and resources to help students build a professional resume and then they prepare us for interviews. Employers frequently inquire with the school for potential applicants thus giving New Horizon students an edge. I would highly recommend New Horizons Computer Learning Center of Nashville to anyone wishing to improve their career potential.
