Emily and her husband are great teachers and I thank them so much for helping me get my license. They always were flexible and as long as your patient with them, they will be patient with you. Driving with Emily helped me learn to relax and become more confident. Driving with Mr. Sumter was a little more stressful but it really helped in the long run, helping me to remember all the maneuvers. Thank you so much for all yall did.

I was driving today on I-20 west, the driver in a light blue colored car(possibly a Toyota) with a big sign on the side of it that said Emily's Driving School, was swerving in their lane repeatedly, talking on their cell phone, clearly distracted while riding close to the bumper of my car. You may want to address this driver, especially if they are teaching kids how to drive.

she's an awesome instructor. I had zero experience in driving but with her help I passed the driving test from the first try. she even took me to the DMV TWICE because the first time I didn't have all the required documents. and she gave me extra practice time. I wouldn't have passed without her!

What can I say other than the fact that Emily's Driving School is the best. The training was detailed on the spot, My instructor Demarcus was very patient and he took his time showing me the driving course so that make sure I understood all of the instructions. Emily is a great instructor! I had 6 hours of driving lessons, she has always showed up on time, always very patient and explained literally everything I needed to know for the exam. I passed my exam the very first time and I was confident taking it because Emily really made sure that I gain my confidence behind the wheel and that I'm comfortable on the road. I was relatively new to driving but Emily driving school helped me get my license at first attempt and made me feel confident about driving. The timing is adjusted as per your schedule and I had to cancel an appointment once but they did not complain about it. Emily driving school is a great place to learn how to drive. I worked with Ms Sumter and She made me feel really confident behind the wheels. I was so surprised because I wasn't sure 6 hours of driving was enough to get me ready for the test. But she taught me the basic things that helped my confidence in driving. Wonderful school and woman, if you want to get your license she is the best option!! Don't even look elsewhere I did and all I got was a very frank "Okay next time you call have your credit card information ready." Where Emily is the opposite asked me questions and delivered 100% to what she said. After a two hour lesson I got my license even though I had failed two times before.

She was a great motivator. I was hesitate to train with this school because of a previous driving school instructor who really unmotivated me to get my license but then emily's came along and was willing to help make sure that I was calm and prepared to get my license . I had the worst experience with this business. I ordered the package where my daughter received the driving class, driver training and they were "suppose" to give her her driving exam at the end. My daughter had her class in January it took her until today to fulfill her driver training. Being that they came to pick her up every couple of weeks, my daughter retained nothing. I had to constantly call and ask every week when age would be driving again. I now have to pay a new business to train her correctly. And on top of it I was told that I didn't get the driving exam with my package and I know that's what I paid for.

I told Emily I really needed my license and what I needed to work on and that I would have to take the test in her car. She charged me $85 for 2 hours..I really told her during that time frame that I would like for her to take me on the route of the test & teach how to parallel park. As I would ask her questions on if there was anything I was doing wrong I felt like I wasn't getting any good feedback because she was in her phone too much and wanted to gossip about other things. She's cool but unprofessional and sucks at communicating about services. I thought I could rely on her to help get my license.. but she never responded after that one day of practice & I still don't have a license. ***Update..June 5th I finally took my driver's test only to find out I wasn't taken on the whole entire route I paid Emily for..but I finally got my license after practice and prayer!

Very unprofessional she was late picking my brother up and only trained him twice if that. Then went on vacation so now almost a month later she wants take him to get his license and told him she doesn't have time to practice with him before hand. They go to the DMV she sits makes him stand in line, then pulls him out and says I have a another student as if he didn't matter. He didn't touch the wheel and was out for 20 mins. This was terrible service. Never again.

Ms. Emily is a blessing!!! Such a great happy funny and extremely smart person to be around with and has skills that will make you feel confident with your driving no matter what type of driver you are. She is a great teacher and will bring out the best in any type of student. I am in the military, and joined the service right after high school, after only being in the US for 2 years(originally from the Philippines), without a driver's license, and was stationed in Korea for a year for my 1st duty station. With that being said I have little to no experience in driving and being overseas had made it almost impossible for me to have the chance to practice or actually be on the road, causing me to be really nervous and anxious when driving. But now being back to the states stationed in Fort Jackson, SC, it is almost not normal not to have a license and not to be able to drive. Which is why I sought help to build up my driving skills and take the drivers license test and pass. At first I went to 911 driving school, and unfortunately they not only charged double compared to Emily's driving school, they also made me feel intimidated, anxious, and more doubtful of my driving skills on top of that didn't pick up and drop off, which is why I looked into other options and I found Ms Emily and everything just went really smoothly from there. It was a lot cheaper, she picked me up and dropped me off every after practice, and she was also very accommodating and flexible to my schedule. And the lessons she taught were very informative, easy to remember, and very useful not only for the test, but also actually being on the road and on being a safe driver. If I went on to continue this review would endless so I would just like to say Ms Emily you are the best and I couldn't thank you enough!!! More power to you and your family!!!

This is a very good driving school. Emily is very helpful. She came to pick me up from my home and sometimes also from my work place. She is always ready to serve as convenient as possible for the student. They also arrange to take the knowledge test and driving test even during the weekends, also in the evening, which makes it easier for any graduate student or a working person. Specially, for an international student it is very good as she give all the details about the documentation/procedure to get a driver's permit. I enjoyed learning and driving with her. A good friend of mine recommended Emily's Driving School. Overall they were pretty good. In two weeks my son had his drivers license. So it's obvious that they are good at what they do. I also caught a good special that they had. My only concern was locating the office on Garners Ferry. There is no sign saying where they were located. My GPS took me to the building next to them. My son always said good things about Mrs. Emily and that was my only concern. As long as he was happy, I was happy. I was suppose to get 6 hours down, and get my license this week. Mrs. Emily told my mom I could do it everyday this week. Her son was my instructor the first day and after we finished he told me we’d have our class everyday for the rest of the week. My mom called him the next day asking about the time he would come and he said he’d have to ask his mom. My mom called Mrs. Emily and she said she couldn’t do it everyday. But, she specifically told my mom she could when she first set up my appointment. My mom already paid more than half the price of the $200. This was not good business at all. Very unorganized.

Would never recommend. Paid upfront for 6 hours and only received 5. The last 2 were HARD to get because my calls & text messages were constantly ignored so they were also very unprofessional. Never understood what i did except try to get what I paid my money for to constantly be ignored but its whatever. I eventually ended up getting my license no thanks to them. Cheap prices yes, but for the experience it wasn't even worth it.

I’m from Thailand and have driven on the right hand side of the road almost my whole life. Originally I had an international driving license but did drive in the US a few times before getting a driving permit in Alaska. But the test was a different story and I failed the road test. After that I decided I need some formal course, but in Alaska it was pretty expensive and I didn’t have time until I moved to Columbia. Thats when I found Emily’s driving school with a very reasonable price and flexible schedule. Emily is the best instructor ever! She was very nice and patient. She made sure I practiced a lot so that I was confident and comfortable. I also like that she didn’t just focus on how to pass the driving test but also gave me some good advise on techniques for driving more safely which I really appreciate. After I took the practice road test with her in the morning, I took the road test with DMV in the afternoon. And guess what?I passed it with nearly no errors! The instructor agreed to take me for training. After that she would not pickup my calls or return calls. Later texted her that I am looking for another trainer and ‘magic’ she calls! Had an hour of driver training after one and half hour of wait for her to show up. The trainer stayed in her cellphone all through the droning as a brand new driver (me) cruising around. Then dropped me off and did not wait for me to pay her!! She said she will be picking me up for another driving session on the following day. Next day I kept waiting and the time passed. Made many calls and text to her given number... no answer!! Then picks up the phone after about and hour saying she is not coming as I did not pay her!! What ethics!! How to trust such a driving school?? Will not recommend to anyone.

I would highly recommend these wonderful drivers ed teachers to any beginner behind the wheel. They're very patient and friendly. They explained and showed me everything in detail of what to expect on the test. They taught me how to do all my maneuvers with ease. I started working with them on Monday and finished on Thursday. Awesome person. She made me feel comfortable and kept me laughing. She has a trick for everything so you can learn quick and easy. I paid for two hours with her and she spent 3 hours with me because she did not want me to give up until I grasped everything. She was a horrible instructor to me. Was extremely unprofessional and would unnecessarily fuss over every word I said. She would bring up arguments and make me super nervous when I was driving. Made me just memorize instructions and would not tolerate questions. She would constantly be on the phone talking to friends and family while the lessons were going on and jeopardize your safety. She would keep dodging my messages and requests to schedule classes or schedule and cancel after I made the full payment. I deeply regret making the full payment on the 1st day. Wish I had waited until the 2nd day so I could have then gone to someone else.
