This is awesome! I work from attended after buying a new M6 but I want to go back again & again! It's hard to believe that they allow you to wring out these expensive cars like they do! It's worth every penny not only for fun but to really learn how to handle a car on the edge of the performance envelope! Don't just think about it, GO!!! Five Stars

No southern hospitality here! We were welcomed in the most rude manner and assured that “there is nothing to see!” Unbelievable and very disappointed in the lack of customer service. We drove over 500 miles to get information about driving the track and experience the cars’ limits. Not here!

We picked up our X5 yesterday at the Performance Center in Greer and participated in the driving school while we were there. Everyone we met was SO nice and made us feel so welcome! From Mike and Paul showing us how it's done on the track, Rachel showing us all the features of our new car, and Arnold getting our adrenaline going on the off-road course, we loved everyone we met! We then took a tour of the factory where Carla showed us how these beautiful cars come to be! Highly, highly recommend this if you're a BMW lover! It was an experience we will never forget!

Great gift idea! My wife paid for me to attend the Performance Drive and it was awesome. I was able to drive the following cars, X2, X5, X4 M2, M4, and 550i. The hot lap with the instructor in the M3 was insane. Highly recommend. Also, bring your GoPro with suction cup mount.

I was lucky enough to take the 2-day M school offered at the BMW Performance Center, and I have to say I wish Google allowed us to give 6 stars. The experience was, in a word, phenomenal. So first, the tl;dr version: take a course here, you will not regret it. There is a reason the place has such high rating. Now for the more detailed review. First, the cars. BMWs have always been some of the best engineered, safest, and highest performance cars, and this school has the best of the best, extremely well maintained, and I don't think I saw a car that had more than 5000 miles on it. For cars that are used in a driving school, that's pretty amazing to have such new and great cars. And a huge shout out to the mechanics who make sure everything works. Tires, brakes, engines, suspension, are all immaculately maintained, which is no easy feat given how hard these cars are pushed to their limits every day. Second, the facilities. You can tell BMW wanted you to experience the cars on multiple levels. Turns, braking, acceleration, high speed, low speed, you name it, you will experience it. The classrooms are clean, the food is great, no complaints whatsoever. Finally, I wanted to leave this for last. The instructors. I wish I could name a favorite, but each and every one of them were beyond amazing. Every one of them is friendly, knowledgeable, they go out of their way to get to know you, and they are without a doubt, each and every one, supremely skilled. You can tell this is not just a job for them. It is their passion. They will push you, they will teach you skills you never knew you could do, and no matter how good a driver you think you are, I guarantee these guys and gals will make you better. And they are SAFE! They make sure of that every second you are on the track. And they make sure you have fun while you learn. I simply cannot give enough compliments to these instructors and track crew. Bottom line: just do it. I honestly don't even think BMW makes money off this. With the kind of vehicles you get, and the level dedication and skill of the entire staff, the sheer amount of track time you get, it's just a no-brainer. In fact, the only complaint I have is I am now addicted.

An amazing experience here to pick up my new BMW. From the pickup at the airport, to the hotel and dinner there, to the actual delivery of the vehicle. The driving part of the day was amazing, and fun. You get some good time out on the track, and do learn a lot about the abilities of your new car. Then you get to have their professional drivers take you around the track, and if that doesn't impress you with what those cars can do, I don't know what will. The delivery itself is also a wonderful experience, with an expert who goes over everything you could want to know about the car, and helps you get everything set up with it. I've had delivery of other cars at dealerships, but no one ever took almost 2 hours to go through it before. And all of this is part basically free, with you just having to pay for the flight down. I recommend this for anyone who is buying a new BMW.

Over the top experience !!! The atmosphere is first class with a touch of humor to relax and enjoy. The instructors are very knowledgeable with professional racing backgrounds. Personally I came to the BMW Performance Driving School with 18+ years of regional dirt oval track racing experience racking up 40+ wins and a track championship along the way. This being my first ever classroom and on track instructions at a professional level. Went with an open mind and gained some valuable insight. A must attend for any performance driving enthusiast. I was humbled at days end when we took a lap around the course with an instructor at the wheel ! Amazing facility, people, machines and experience...

I LOVED the Performance Driving School! It reminded me of the "confidence course" portion of basic training, but to instill confidence in your your ride. Extensive, informative, and adrenaline high exhausting. After slalom, braking, avoidance, handling, and skid courses, "rat race" competition around one of the skid courses, and competitive timed trials on the handling course, it's topped off with an (optional) ride-along, multi-course experience with an instructor driving an M-Class (feels like a scene from Dukes of Hazzard.) Me: "Yeah! Who is the fastest instructor? Shotgun!" I highly recommend the experience!

I did the performance drive course and cannot stop talking about it. It’s a long day from Charleston South Carolina as you arrive to the BMW sales office at Rick Hendrick around 6am. A short 3-hour bus ride up to the plant (I slept most the way), but when you pull into the performance center you will be taken back at how clean and organized this facility is. A short briefing on the vehicles and signatures gets you into the groups and off to the driving courses. Driving each class of car (3,4 series and X5, X6), everyone loves the speed but the ability of the X series off road was amazing (I own an X3 and have taken through some deep water but was unsure of its real performance, Charlestons downtown flooding doesn’t bother man anymore now). It’s amazing how much you can push these vehicles! Then after we had our fun the instructors showed us really what these cars can do. Truly enjoyed the entire day. We were able to walk the manufacturing facility as well. Amazing the production line and assembly of the vehicles. It should be a must on everyone’s list and will improve your defensive driving ability. I sure will be sending my kids here to learn. The staff was very professional and respectfully. The lunch was wonderful!

Seems like it would be a great driving experience, but when I stopped in on a whim the staff seemed to have no interest in selling me on it. They all but said "leave," with how dismissive they acted. Not a great way to promote the brand.

I have completed the 3 Day Bob Bondurant driving school which was excellent and this is equally so in different ways BMW has a lot more cars to drive, with a more sophiisticated twist all around. We are already planning on returning to BMW for the two day course. I would recommend this to anyone who loves to drive fast.

What an amazing experience! The defensive driving course was really beneficial. It's an all day event, they serve lunch. I had an absolute blast. I want to do it again for the two day course. They also have many other "driving schools". This makes a great gift to any car enthusiast. The instructors are so knowledgeable in their field and both of mine we in car activities semi/professionally. Not to mention funny as all heck. They take their time to help you learn how to sit properly in a car and the correct chair adjustments. Yes, sit correctly because it was the foundation to being able to do all the cool activities.

The facility is well designed and functional. The classes and courses are fun, exciting, and educational. The instructors are certainly friendly enough; but much more importantly they are competent... very competent. German design must have played a part in how they set this place up.

Kudos to Donnie Isley, who is not just a great driver,but a great guy and a fantastic teacher. Though I have not taken the course, either regular or advanced at the performance driving school in Greer, S.C, I have actually gone on a " hot lap" with a pro driver. This was one of the best passenger experiences, though somewhat scary going around curves on a wet track at over 100 mph, it's just a normal workday for these professional race car drivers. If you enjoy fast cars, high performance driving, and even if you can't afford to purchase a BMW, this driving course will teach you a lot about what to do in many driving emergencies. It also is not far from Asheville, N.C. , which is a great day trip from the Greenville/Greer area. Kudos to this BMW American factory/ museum and performance driving school for hiring top racing style teachers who really know their stuff. We live in Louisiana..and it was truly worth the drive there to just see the cars ! It's a beautiful area too

Ever want to feel like a VIP while having a crazy rush of adrenaline as you push a sports car to the limit, throwing it around a corner at speed? Look no further. The delivery program is a well designed course that allows you to drive a vehicle of the same make and model as your car, allowing you to learn the boundaries and needs of your vehicle in a safe manner. The course focuses on braking, handling and the traction control system with a professional driver. You and your husband will both get the opportunity to drive until the adrenaline is coursing through your veins. You then can do a hot lap with someone who actually knows what they're doing. Lunch was divine, and the factory tour was most informative. A friendly "product genius" (yes, that's what they're called) walked us through every button and latch on our car until we were comfortable with the vehicle before leaving. We also got the opportunity to play in an SUV on the off-road course. This is a must for any potential customer of BMW.

Life-enhancing unforgettable experience. If you EVER have the chance - DO this!! You can drive practically every current year model car they have which is a LOT of cars (M3,M4,M5,Roadster and many more) and they have several race tracks to drive on including a pretty intense off road course with the locally assembled X3. After getting to drive yourself around the tracks all day the pro drivers will throw you in the passenger/backseat of their Ultimate Driving Machine and turn on the sprinklers that slick the track and drift the night away! Great corporate packages! Food/drinks/socializing included! The drivers were the kindest, happiest professionals ever and of course they would be, they have the best job in the world!

What an amazing experience the Performance Center pickup is! I cannot recommend this enough for anyone picking up a new car. For free, you get to partake in one of the most amazing days possible and experience so many different aspects of the BMW range. The day begins with a short classroom briefing on safety and the agenda, then moves out to the track where you get to learn about different features of your new car, in someone else's car! Alone in your car, but with an instructor on the walkie-talkie, you get to practice driving the car through a handling course with slaloms and quick turns. You also practice braking from different speeds and with the ABS. One of the scarier, but more fun ones is a trip on the skid pad where you see the huge difference between no traction control and with as you skid around like crazy. Finally, if you are nice to your instructor, he may take you on a hot lap in an M3 where you will be glad you didn't have lunch yet. Then we went to the museum which was small, but interesting. They have a lot of cool cars on display and a nice gift shop. After this, we got to drive the X5 and experience the cool features on an off-road course. We drove through a flooded stream, up on 2 wheels, and up and down countless slopes to showcase how easy it really is to off-road in one. This was probably the coolest part just because we had no idea what to expect and this was really amazing. Everything was just crazy enough to feel slightly dangerous, but very controlled. The instructors were incredible and super friendly. We spoke with Paul, our track instructor at lunch for an hour and he probably talked us into coming back for the two day performance driving class. This is a must when picking up a new car!
