My instructor was always late. I didn't even get the full 2 hours each time I was supposed to be driving and he would always say "I owe you [specific amount of time]" or "we'll make it up before you're done" but that never happened. I had never driven before and I told him that, but I don't think he cared. I think he was more concerned about me not doing something to the car than me actually learning to drive. I really could've been taught a lot more. I think for the price I paid, I could have gotten a lot more out of it. There really wasn't much explaining behind what I needed to do. I just feel like I was not prepared to go out and take my driver's test. On my last BTW lesson, the instructor told me I needed another 2 hour session to work on my parallel parking and to go over the stuff on the driver's test. Usually on your last lesson, you strictly go over everything that is supposed to be on the DMV road test because you would have practiced all of it on the first two lessons. I just wish I would have went to another driving school. I'm still learning how to turn the wheel and park (something you would have expected to learn during the first lesson). I'm practicing on my own with my friends who have their license and then I am going to try another driving school to get more practice by a company who has MANY good reviews.
I would suggest searching around and just asking people where they went to take driver's ed, if they did it. I'm 21, so all my friends got theirs in high school. Lol. I could not find any reviews about Lord Ashley [good or bad]. PLEASE look around. I think this price may be one of the cheaper ones out there, but I do not recommend them. I think they need to revaluate how they teach. Mark Hennessy [the instructor i had for my last lesson] was an AMAZING instructor. He made me feel comfortable and relaxed. That is the only plus. If you decide this is the company you want to work with, request Mark.
I honestly wish I would have went somewhere else if I knew better. I took my road test and failed because of my tuning and straight line backing. I'm taking lessons with another company and they will be the ones to administer the test for me! I'd feel a lot more comfortable taking the test with people who want me to pass and not people who just want my money!!!!
