Best Driving School! Both of my sons have attended and completed their driving instruction at the 911 Mount Pleasant location. My oldest son attended a few years back and my youngest son just took the road test AND got his license yesterday:) Both boys passed on their first attempts at taking the driving test. Their instruction was thorough and generally in a very pleasant manner. Both boys are confident and competent drivers. We highly recommend using 911 Driving School.

Great Driving School! All three of my children have gone through 911 Driving School. The officers are engaging and professional. The support staff went out of their way to assist whenever I called. They prepared them well for the driving test, and I feel more confident with my children driving now because of their 911 Driving School training!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. IT APPEARS THEY ARE OUT FOR THE $$ ONLY I paid $379 for my granddaughter to take the training through 911 followed by $50 to take the test which according to the instructor "Brent", she failed. She had to wait two weeks to take the test again so we practiced a lot for her to pass the test. After paying an additional $50 to take the test for the 2nd time she failed again which required another 2 weeks before taking the test again. I paid more $ for additional training sessions thru 911 and an additional $50 to take the test for the 3rd time and again she was failed. We had even practiced going through the actual course used by 911 for the test, prior to her taking the test the 3rd time. She did not understand why she failed as she felt she did everything correctly. After taking the test for the 3rd time, SC law requires that you wait 60 days before being able to take the test again. I had an uneasy feeling about the owner of this company "Brent" who is also the person that gives the driving test but because of a neighbor, I continued with them. I just learned today that "Brent" has been deliberately failing people (this comes from a reliable source). I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Just because they use police officers for the training, Brent is the one that administers the test and is failing people on purpose. Don't waste your money as they will just fail you so you have to pay more and more.

We had a good experience using 911 Driving School in Goose Creek, SC. Officers Lebby and Ollic were thorough and professional in their approach to educating our teenager about best driving practices. They covered small but important tasks on the driving test that had never occurred to us - things like 3 point turns, backing up 100' and parking on a hill. We know our son was better prepared for taking the test and for driving on his own after training with 911 Driving School. Being able to take the driving exam with them and in their vehicle is also an advantage, especially if the alternative is attempting to parallel park in a large van instead of a smaller Kia Soul. I would recommend them without hesitation. As for the "sour grapes" reviews from other parents, I would disregard them. They sound like the sort of folks who first blame the teacher for their kids failing grades, when it's their own kid who never studies for tests and fails to turn in homework on time.

Charles Carter did an amazing job at giving feed back and what needs to be improved upon and what is being done well. They also did a great job at teaching when and where to do things such as SMMOG, cover and scan, ect. Overall they did an amazing job and I highly recommend them.

I am a beginner driver. I just got my permit and my mom signed me up for the 911 driving school. My first lesson was with an instructor names Henry S. I had never driven before but he made me feel so comfortable. I must say he is a great instructor with lots of patience even when I got frustrated he calmed me down and helped me regain my confidence. My daughter failed her driver's test Friday, on her first attempt, because of a new requirement, effective 1-1-12, that she said was never taught to her. When I spoke with the owner of the school in Goose Creek, he informed me that she had not mastered the basic skill and the requirement I spoke of was advanced so she was not progressed to it. Interestingly, this was NOT communicated to me, the paying parent. There was never any written instruction to me about the status of her driving sessions, what was covered and not covered and how she had performed. After her final drive, I was not even given a verbal explanation of what she needed work on, and what if anything had not been covered that would be required on the test. Also, in the 8 hour class she went to, the computer and video equipment were down so they did not get to have any video for the instruction. When I spoke to the owner of the Goose Creek branch, Brent Tatum, he refused to work with me to help my daughter become more proficient and myself feel like I received what I, a single mom, invested my hard earned $400, to receive. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, in the lack of care and professionalism by the owner. I WILL NOT EVER RECOMMEND 911 DRIVING SCHOOL. When a business owner appears to not care about the quality of instruction to the student and communication to the parent, there are far better places to go.

My experience with 911 driving school has been a truly awesome experience for both my children. My daughter took it several years ago and just recently my son completed the course. Mr. Charles Carter was his driver instructor for all three drives. I could not say enough good things about this man. He was very professional, friendly, informative and caring. It was worth every penny. Thank you to Mr. Carter and 911 driving school. Keeping our children safe is so important and I can tell you feel the same way!

Upon returning from overseas, we were looking to sign our son up for driving lessons. He had already turned 16 and had little knowledge of driving stateside. I really liked that the instructors were police officers. The class portion was great and I think he took away a lot of good information. His first drive was with Officer Charles Carter, highly recommend by the way! Officer Carter was great and didn't sugar coat things with him. He was very upfront and honest about where my son stood and what he needed to work on. Officer Carter drilled into him that he had to practice and that he had to want to drive. My son did all three drives with Officer Carter, I highly recommend doing all drives with the same individual, and continued to progress with each one. I feel like the information provided to my son during each drive was valuable and provided him with good, solid fundamentals. I appreciated Officer Carter's feedback at the end of each drive as well as his kindness, thoroughness, and compassion. The conversation was always with the my son present so he knew exactly what was being shared with me. The school was always willing to work with me on days, times, and helping me to maintain the consistency with having Officer Carter as the instructor. I highly recommend Officer Carter and 911 Driving School! Safe driving and Happy Holidays!

I honestly feel so much better about driving because of the 911 Driving School. Driving was something I always avoided because it scared me out of my mind. The thought of driving with the 911 school freaked me out even more. However, the classroom instruction was very informative and the teacher was nice. Funny even. I was so anxious the day of my first driving lesson but it turned out to be a really great experience as were the subsequent lessons. I had Shelly, Henry, and Nic as my instructors. The lessons had a different feel to them with each instructor, but they were all informative and very good learning experiences. All three were patient and gave a lot of feedback which was nice. I also took my road test today and passed it! I am so grateful to have passed it in one go; the 911 Driving School definitely contributed to my success. Thanks so much for all that you guys do!

911 Driving School was amazing! My drivers (Shelly, Nic, & Henry) taught me the fundamentals of how to be a safe driver.They were super patient with me and helped me gain confidence in my driving. The only real draw back for me was that I was unable to switch between the two locations (Goose Creek and Mount Pleasant) without paying a fee. But the knowledge I gained from my drives totally made up for that! Would recommend to all beginner drivers.

My Experience at 911 Driving School in Goose Creek As one of the more uncommon reluctant drivers, I can admit I was not particularly excited for my first official drive at 911 Driving School. I was confident on the road but not enough to comfortably say I knew what I was doing. I had envisioned the practice drive to be more like the actual driving test. However the experience was not how I imagined. My instructor, Henry, was very patient with me and taught me some very useful tips before we even left the parking lot. He reinforced some of the practices that were covered in the classroom and taught me the correct ways of how to carry out those practices. By the time I had finished my drive I had learned at least five or six more techniques, actions and tips to help me become a safer and more experienced driver including, how to correctly change lanes, three-point turns, 100-foot backing, a trick to easily maneuver out of a parking space, and how to properly fill up a gas tank. I returned to the driving site feeling more secure in my own hands than I had any time previously behind the wheel. I would like to thank Henry and the people at 911 Driving School for successfully improving my driving if only by a little. I do still have a long ways to go but I can say with certainty that I will continue my driving improvement in the capable hands of South Carolina’s 911 Driving School in Goose Creek.

I recently completed my final drive at 911 Driving school in Goose Creek, and overall I was pleased with my experience. The 8 hour class was long, but very informative and necessary. On my 1st drive I was not confident enough or experienced to perform well, which is not the schools fault. During the 1st drive I made too many easy mistakes and the instructor was informative about my mistakes and blunt, he did his job. 2nd drive was many months later and I was a much more experienced driver, which translated to my performance as I did much better. 3rd and final drive was with Henry, he was great. Very informative and helped me improve things I needed help with, he also kept the conversation going well and was very kind. Overall, the 911 Driving School is in my opinion a good place to learn how to drive, and pass your driving test.

Best Driving School! I did my homework on picking the right driving school for my teenage daughter, who like most teenagers, is very stubborn and already thinks she knows everything about driving. She had Mr. Charles Carter as her driving instructor and hands down, he was GREAT! With his law enforcement background, like a good many of the instructors have, I knew my daughter was going to learn everything from skills, laws, safety - all of it- And he holds them accountable, including the parents! We were accountable for the practice time our daughter was getting behind the wheel. Our daughter sang Mr. Carter's praises and was excited to go to driving school and with everything she learned, she went to the DMV right after her last class and got her driver's license just like Mr. Carter said she would! We have two more daughters behind her and plan on taking them both here.

BEST DRIVING SCHOOL!!! I am very satisfied with 911 Driving school. They taught me the fundamentals to become a good driver. Although some teenagers will think that the police instructors would be very strict. It was not like that at all, on all three of my drives and my class time, I was treated with a lot of respect and patience. I would recommend this driving school to anyone and any age.
