My daughter’s experience at Cindy Cohen School of Driving was excellent. She has terrible test anxiety and would just melt down at the thought of taking her driving exam. We contacted Cindy Cohen on the recommendation of others who had used her school and were not disappointed. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable and made both of us comfortable. My daughter’s instructor was Brittany and they were a good fit. My daughter had driving experience but trouble parallel parking Brittany corrected this issue within the first 2 hour lesson and after 3 more hours (at my daughter’s request) she took her test and passed. I believe this was one of the best invested I have made regarding my daughter. Will recommend to everyone who is looking for a top notch driving school that yields results. Amber Fesh

My instructors Lenny and Ronny were very helpful in teaching me driving standards and laws and also they were very nice but had to keep up with being a teacher and not a friend so when I did make mistakes they were right on top of it and told me what i did wrong and helped me learn how to correct it.

I used to be super nervous about the driver exam, I didn’t have much confidence in passing it for the first time. My instructor Dave was being super nice and helpful with teaching parallel parking skill and all the safe road skills. With his help and comfort I felt much better and pass the driver exam within my first shot! I really appreciated his help and my nice examiner. I was nervous about learning how to drive,. On my first lesson, my instructor Freddy, started with the basics and build my skills from the bottom-up, as this was the first time I got behind the wheel. He gave me confidence and motivation I needed. This got me excited about my next lessons and wanting to continue to learning to drive. I was excited about my following lessons and knew it was not impossible. Throughout my lessons he would give me continuous positive reinforcement, what I did well and what I should improve. After taking 5 lessons with my instructor Freddy, I passed my driving test!!!!!! He gave me the tools I needed to walk into my test with confidence. I suggest taking the 2hr lesson before the test and also I would highly recommend taking lessons with Cindy Cohen and have Freddy as an instructor. He is awesome! I am now eager to have the independence to drive myself on numerous adventures!!!

My teacher was Freddy and he was so helpful and understanding. This was my 4th attempt at the test in 6 years and he was very understanding of that. PHENOMENAL SERVICE. i paid for 4 lessons and got my license on my FIRST try. They went out of their way to accommodate and i got insight from a very experienced driver. If you prefer thorough i would go with Rhonda as an instructor. i don't regret a dime. This is coming from a 17 year old who paid her way through with literally 0 experience behind the wheel

Took a one hour warm up and test here earlier in the summer. super nice staff, my instructor was very patient with me and gave me tips I couldn’t have passed the test without. My tester Sarah was very sweet and kept me calm. My nerves were what hurt me in all my tests at DMVs but she kept me focused and calm All in all a great experience, I recommended this driving school to my friends and everyone I meet struggling to get their license like I was.

I can honestly say that CCSOD helped me so much with learning how to drive in such little time. I took classes with Dave who was a very great instructor! He was very calming patient, and helped me to understand how to be a safe yet good driver. This school really pushes you to your full potential. I had no driving experience what so ever and Cindy Cohen helped me to not only learn how to drive in less than a month, but they prepared me for my drivers exam and I passed!! So thank you CCSOD!

AMAZING!! I had a fantastic experience with Cindy Cohen Driving school. They are very professional and the staff are really nice people. I had Dave as my instructor and I give him a 100 out of 10, that is how well he taught me how to drive. He is very patient with you and talks to you about what he thinks you need to improve on and what you are really good at. He makes sure that you are comfortable with everything you do within the car. I like that he drew pictures for me, so I can get a better understanding of specific things for driving. He took me out driving on his off days which I can't thank him enough for that. He really cared about me getting my driving license. I recommend him 100%, also I got my license on my first try!! If you need to learn how to drive go to Cindy Cohen they will not let you down.

The office employees were so nice, the driving instructor was so friendly and gave me a lot of tips that helped me, not only to pass the test, but for my actual driving. Guess what’s the result. The best thing I ever did was get my teenager lessons from Cindy Cohen School of Driving. The instructors are so nice and very knowledgeable. The lessons included highway and city driving. They are a third party testing location too so she was able to have an hour lesson then take the test at the driving school and not have to go to the DMV. So easy to schedule everything too, from the lessons to the exam. Cindy Cohen and her staff are amazing.

Undoubtedly this is the best driving school in Pittsburgh. Very friendly staff, explained the course in concise way. Provided all the information. I had prior driving experience, so they customized the lessons according to my level. My instructor was Glen, he is fantastic. The gentleman who administered the driving test to my brother was rude, cold, and never gave him a fair chance to pass the test. He began by asking suspiciously, "did you take lessons from us?" After my brother said no, the gentleman proceeded to ask him (and this really happened) "are you even ready to take this test today??" Obviously my brother felt ready which is why we showed up that day to take the test. Taking a driving test can be nerve-wracking for anyone, but to see a customer treated with absolute disrespect is despicable, and my brother said he felt uncomfortable from the first second with the test administrator. To her credit, Cindy did come out and try to smooth things over. She seems like a kind and empathetic person who I'm sure generally runs a great driving school. But I can only hope that it just wasn't this gentleman's day, because to be treated with such abject doubt, coldness, and disrespect is simply unconscionable in this industry. Worst $200 I have ever spent, and I will certainly let other people know NEVER to send their kids or friends here for driving lessons or tests. Stay away.

After 2 years! 2 years of dealing and being held back by Rogers driving school, having practice sessions two weeks to months apart. I can say Cindy Cohen is the best to learn how to drive, one practice with Mrs. Cindy I learned more with her then the 2 years I was dealing with Rogers. I can proudly say I cried tears of joy when I surprisingly pass my drivers test, words can and will never be enough to say how much her encouragement meant to me. If your like me, trying to do all of this on your own with no help. Spend the money and learn from Cindy Cohen, you will never regret it.

My driving instructor was Ms. Rhonda and she was (is) the best ever! She made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. She is a great teacher which is admirable considering she is rarely on the road with students. Ron, my test examiner is awesome as well, very polite and professional and very fair. He explains in clear terms all the three categories of the driving test you need to successfully implement to pass the driving test. Passed the test on my first try! I had never touched a steering wheel before, but I felt pretty comfortable driving after 7 classes with Dave! Dave’s super friendly, patient, supportive, and helpful! His students all love him! Just ask for him in advance because he’s very popular and you would probably have to wait for weeks for a class with him.

A+++! Taught my kids how to drive. They both took their driver's test with them, too. The instructors are knowledgeable, easy going, and really know how to put teens at ease. The driving school is very good with communicating, both before and after the lesson. And not having to go back to the DMV to get a possibly cranky worker administering the driving test made the difference for my kids. They are safe drivers thanks to Cindy Cohen's instructors.

I worked with Robyn to get driving practice. I just passed my road test! Robyn is a great driving instructor. She is encouraging and patient. Most importantly, she knows how to teach in a way that a new driver can understand. She taught me to parallel park in 3 steps and I was able to parallel park in my first try and was always able to parallel park successfully. For anyone who is looking for a good driving instructor, I highly recommend Robyn!

Prior to arriving at the school I hadn’t been on the road in 4 yrs, but somehow had enough confidence to drive the highway my first lesson and nailed it! Long story short I passed my license the first time, and cried! Cindy the owner is so sweet! Everyone here is wonderful!

This driving school is great. I practiced in their car for an hour, parallel parking and road test. And then took the exam. And I passed! They give you many tips and tricks for passing the test. All the staff is super nice. I had Dave for an instructor. He was great! Very nice and informative. And the driving exam guy was nice too. Altogether a great center to practice and get your license. Definitely worth the money!.

This place is amazing! I needed to get my license in a compressed time frame and they really helped me do it. They were very helpful and flexible getting all the classes scheduled in the needed timeframe and I had two great instructors. Both Dave and Steve could not have done a better job. They were extremely intuitive to my anxiety level and their calm demeanor really helped me overcome my anxiousness. Their instruction was fantastic from parallel parking to highway driving they give you the tips and tricks you need to be a safe driver as well as prepare for the test. If you can take the test at their driving center, I would highly recommend it as the course is challenging in the right way to ensure safety and their evaluators are so pleasant they help ease your nerves as well. Special shout out to Dave for waiting for me during my test and returning my over excited hug. If I could give more stars I would, this school is really top of the class with their employees and service. Thank you Dave and Steve I could not have done it without you.

Very easy to make appointments, they also are sometimes willing to have appointments that start at 8 which worked nice for my schedule. The instructors were very friendly and helpful, and are able to give good feedback and help while also helping you be more confident. My driver instructor was Lenny, did who a great job making sure I got to drive in a variety of different types of roads and gvae great feedback.

Just finished 3 lessons and my test at Cindy Cohen Driving School. I am an adult driver who hadn't driven in over 10 years and was filled with a fair amount of anxiety about the prospect of getting back behind the wheel (enough to make me put it off many times). The instructor Tim made the experience way less intimidating than I expected through a combination of steady confidence and good humor. I would very much recommend Tim as an instructor to anyone wanting to learn to drive or to refresh their skills after a long absence from behind the wheel.

The business is well organized with several reminders before scheduled lessons. The instructors pick you up and you use their car. You get to practice around Pittsburgh region and the driver's course which is onsite. I wish personal checks were accepted for the drivers test fee. 5$ credit card fee added. Cash only accepted for test fee of $100.00. Checks were accepted for lesson fees.

I took driving classes with Dave a few years ago. I’m on my 3rd vehicle with no accidents and still feel very comfortable behind the wheel. Dave was very knowledgeable and patient. If he still is an instructor for Cindy Cohen I would highly recommend him specifically although I’m sure their other driving instructors a very knowledgeable as well. The office was very direct and helpful. Don’t wait around on your pals or family to let you borrow their clunker to practice. If you can afford it, pay for the classes and it’s almost foolproof that if you follow their lead and listen you will pass. Sorry this took so long Dave.

Cindy Cohen School of Driving has met my needs! Personally, it took me 6 lessons, and I recently passed my driver’s exam on the first try. However, I had driving lessons before with my mom and friends, so it depends on the person. The instructors are patient, and they will help students become better drivers. They are so helpful with parallel parking since that’s the part of the exam that a lot of test-takers are worried about. You go through the course multiple times in general before the exam. It is definitely worth the money, time, and dedication.
