Nano Light

There is a set of Tennis courts that have a pretty good surface. They have nets which is unusually for most city parks. There is a good backboard if you go it alone. There is a swimming pool and a spray area to keep cool in the summer. It opens too late and closes too early for the season, it could get much more usage. There is a small basketball area outside and a nice playgound. A covered area is nice for a kids outdoor birthday. The building is airconditioned and has restrooms they keep clean. There is water and one vending machine. Lots of activies go on in the evenings and are affordable for single mom's with kids. It's an old building and would really benefit from some volunteers putting in some fix up time if the City would allow them to. They employ nice people and it's a relaxed atmosphere. Most of the time I feel really safe there. Sometimes there are teens out front hanging and making you feel uncomfortable but there does not seem to be drugs or dangerous activities going on. A nice place to fly a kite and take your kids in the morning when it's nice outside. Have been in the area for 40 years and the park was there when I was a little kid. We donated a bunch of stuff to do ceramics and they still make them there. A great place to donate your craft items, they will use it.
