I took an entire course with Maritza back in 2009. I was impressed to find how easy she made it to learn Salsa. Not only is she a passionate teacher who enjoys what she does, she is charismatic and will work with you at your pace to make sure you learn to dance and enjoy salsa at its best. I still remember my salsa moves up to this day, and I display them every time there is a chance to dance. Thank you Maritza!

I've practiced and danced under Maritza's mentor for at least two years and she is one of the best instructors in Oklahoma. I have come from am absolute beginner to an intermediated - advanced dancer with her help. She has a very methodical approach that will helps learners approach the moves easier. Also, she can make you laugh which make the whole learning experience very fun and enjoyable. I highly recommend her if you want to learn salsa and other latin dances like bachata, merengue.

If you've never danced before then Salsa Maritza is the way to go. The atmosphere is very relaxed and you'll feel like you're part of the group after one practice. I've never taken dance lessons and felt quite comfortable after the first time. The instructors are friendly and always willing to help.

Great instructor with a lots of experience! You get to learn a lot and meet with new people. I enjoy taking classes with her because the way she teaches is very informative and constructive. I have seen a lot of other instructors in other places but the teaching method and price is awesome. I highly recommend it to anybody who wants to learn and have a good time!

I love it here. Even when I'm injured I show up because there is so much to learn. Also, being able to see the growth of dancers here is awesome. People walk in not knowing anything about salsa or bachata, and stay to become performance dancers in one or even both styles. This really is a great place to be.

Recommend 100%. Whether you're a beginner or not, you'll learn. You see all dance levels there. I love salsa dancing and had been wanting to find a place that challenged me and keept me engaged. I started coming in for class on Thursdays at the beginning of the year -2018. Then I joined a fast track (2 months) learning beginner salsa team and I’m learning many technical skills that I didn't learn in the previous studio. You also get a practice partner each week so you don't have to come with your own partner. There are many knowledgeable instructors, as well as more advanced students willing to help practice and answer questions I may have. They also have mini socials at the end of class, so you get to practice what you learnt. And one or two socials a month on a Friday.

If you really want to learn how to dance and you happen to be in OK, taking classes with Maritza is the way to go. I had the pleasure to learn how to dance on one and then on two from her. I've taken several classes from professional dancers all over the states and Maritza's methodology and pedagogy towards salsa is hard to beat. She is very passionate and a great great teacher.

Salsa Maritza and family are extremely helpful in achieving that goal along with many other techniques and styles that you need to look cool, sexy and definitely assists with boosting your confidence! Maritza is the best dance teacher that I have had in my whole life. She taught me almost everything I know of Salsa dancing and it has sure helped me with my social dancing. She has a unique way of teaching, which it is very easy to understand. She is very patient when teaching, thus it is much easier to absorb what is being taught without stressing out. I was part of the salsa team at OU for two years (2010-2012). I started as a member of the amateur team, where we learned the basics the first month and then we started learning a choreography that at the beginning look so complicated but after a while we started to feel comfortable with the routine and the sexy moves started to appear naturally. Salsa became a part of my life. It was the break i needed while I was going through graduated school. I met awesome people and became a really good dancer. We performed our routine in many events including salsa congresses. Maritza is a really good teacher, always keeping the class entertaining and never leaving somebody behind. Leaving a review because it's important for people to know about the gem of a dance studio in OKC. 1st let me start with DO NOT let yourself be discouraged that you don't have a partner. When the ads say no partner needed it means it. You rotate partners through the class! I followed Salsa Martiza for awhile before attending and really wanted to go, but the partner concept I didn't get. I attended a free lesson and then understood you really don't need one.6 months later I'm continuing with lessons. The intensive training is what I signed up for. I have learned so much in a short time! I love it. The instructors are encouraging, supportive, and have buy in. They support you in your dance goals either it be social dancing or performance teams. There is a strong emphasis on building strong leads. As a follow this is wonderful. The other patrons that attend are so supportive and encouraging as well. I learned more in 4 classes at Salsa Maritza then taking private lessons at a different studio. So, yes I highly recommend!
