Went there last year and thought I had a good experience, got a 5hr class and car package but after trying a different school I quickly realized how horrible this place was. The 5hr class was Barely okay but the driving instructor was truly horrible, don’t even think he knew what he was trying to teach. Definitely do not recommend.

Totally recommend Anthony, he is the coolest teacher ever. I had about 4 lessons and just passed the road test. Anthony really cares about his students, showed up despite of having a medical emergency to drive us to the road test. He is very reliable and has an awesome personality on top of that all. Above and beyond. I also took the 5 hour class in this school and I highly recommend it as well.

I was looking for an affordable quality school. My first choice was not a good one. I spent a lot of money for a package and got a really bad instructor. So I've decided to try something else. And I got very lucky with Brooklyn Driving School. Their office is not the most attractive office in the world but who cares if they have Anthony lol Anthony is an awesome instructor and in one class he taught me more than I've learned in my previous school in 4 classes. He tells you little tricks and explains things that are common sense for seasoned drivers but for newbies like me they have to be explained. And he patiently does that.

one of the best place to learn to ride Motorcycles in Brooklyn. Even though I received my license through motorcycle safety school, the Brooklyn Driving School has been and will always be the foundation of my learning how to ride motorcycles. The hands on experience on riding motorcycle is tremendous in this place. You will learn from the beginning stage to experienced stage of motorcycle riding. Thank you Brooklyn Driving School, because of you I was able to get my license. fyi. currently riding a 750 cc , Honda Shadow Cruiser.

I've been dreading taking the 5 hr course but very happy that I was able to take Luigi’s class. He made it FUN, interactive and had open discussions on real life driving situations. This is nothing like sitting in a dark room watching a video for 5hrs. Everyone that was in the class came out laughing and happy. The 5hr course went by so quickly. I totally recommend it!

The motorcycle instructors and employees at the school were great. They are good at finding your weaknesses and correcting them. They are also easy to communicate with and friendly. I would recommend this place to my friends if they were going to take their motorcycle classes here.

I'm not too sure about this place. I'm a super friendly person and I hope I wasn't taken advantage of... the instructor didn't know what was covered in my sessions, I had to remind him although he was cool I now think it wasn't cool. And out of the 5 students that were tested only 2 passed. I was amongst the unfortunate. It could have been a combination of the tester and not having enough driving time. Either way I can't repay the exuberant amount of money to rent the bus, driver and retest. If you take classes here, make sure you get enough brake review and driving time. Memorize the rest on your own. I am going to look for another spot to do the driving review and pray my job can help me get a driver and bus at minimal to no charge.

Luigi is the best driving instructor out there! I needed to learn manual (stick shift), because I’m heading to Italy for summer vacation.... Luigi teaches you not only how to drive manual, he also explains you how everything works, so it was really great and worth it! If you need to learn manual - I would definitely recommend this place.

I'm giving 5 stars due to the fact that my mom was in a car accident and I needed a car for my road test right away. They were the only ones able to give me that. Danny did me that huge favor thanks to the boss I appreciate it very much =D and I passed my road test. If you're gonna come here ask for Danny he's amazing and kind. AS FOR THE ASIAN dude in the front desk, he is disgustingly rude. I was told to be there at 8:45 am the day of my road test and another person put me in for 9:15 am. I was told by Danny himself that the reason they put me for 9:15 am was because if they put people for 9:30 am people would come at that time or a little later. I was worried that he was just being late but he himself was put for 9:30 that is all the Asian dude needed to explain to me. All he did was give me a serious face and said don't worry about it when I asked why he was late. I said excuse me? He said don't worry about it he'll be here. I said well it's gonna be 9:30 am he said you're stressing out over something that doesn't need to be stressed out over. Which I didn't appreciate because YES like I told him it IS something I need to stress about because I'm the one who's taking the test. Not him. He shut up and didn't say anything after that. Plus, what kind of crap is that I need to worry because it's my money and my time. But it was cleared up. That guy just needs an attitude check though.

This driving school is amazing. Their pricing is the best in town and you wont be disappointed with the staff. All the instructors were EXTREMELY cool and they really help you with driving. My instructor was Dameon and he is a really good guy. He helped me pass my road test first try and he is clear with every instruction.

Did the motorcycle package. They made everything easy. I went from never having ridden to passing my road test on the first try in the rain! In no small part to what I learned from Kevin. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Was delightful class to be said! I was dreading taking a 5 hour class knowing I already drove for 23 years letting my licenses expire putting me back in class but very happy I took Luigi’s class on Wednesday at 5:30 he made it fun and had open discussions on the driving topics which help me remember. And being dyslexic as well I even passed his hand written recap so that tells a lot. I recommend if you take a 5 hour class do it with him. Good pointers and explained things a way you will remember. Great teacher!!

They are thief in New York City ...they just grab your money ..I spent 600 dollar for ten lesson ...I could not pass cuz they don't have experience staff that they don't know nothing ...so I request to innocent people don't go over there ...choose another place to learn driving don't waste the money and also don't waste the golden time

Wish I can give more than 5 stars. I took lessons on how to drive a manual car here. Appointments were easy to schedule and they were a pleasure to deal with. My instructor was very knowledgeable and taught according to me rather than what he felt like teaching. I only took 3 or 4 lessons and he did not try to get me to take more since I told him I just want to do it for fun. Compared to the place I took regular driving lessons this was a much better experience overall. I would defintely recommend these guys since they know what they're doing and are good at it.

Unprofessional!! I made it a point to call them when I was booking my motorcycle road test through the DMV to make sure they had availability. I booked it on a date they stated they had availability. I came in to pay for the service weeks before my appointment and confirmed with them that day. Then I showed up on the day I was scheduled and no one was there, so I waited and waited until they officially opened and told me that nothing was scheduled that day. I was told that the person who accompanies motorcycle road test wasn't going to be in that day. So, I took all the steps necessary and they dropped the ball and offered nothing in return to rectify the situation. I wasted an entire morning due strictly to their negligence. What a waste of my time!!!

I passed with 100% score (no point added during road test) on 12/3/18. Price for the package was good. Highly recommend this place!

Very rude personnel using inappropriate language. I tried to plan my classes per package with this school, rescheduled my working hours to squeeze classes and lecture as per school’s offering. Waited an extra week. When I came for my weekday 5hr class and learned that next time driving class is going to be hard to schedule as all time slots busy and they refused to schedule me when I came the first time promising that there will be no problem, I was upset. The manager or “owner”as he called himself told me that others scheduled first. I could not believe my ears - I was there first when they had all available time slots but refused to book my class saying we’ll do as you come later and there won’t be a problem. Instead of trying to help, an “owner” or as he introduced himself started to use inappropriate language and harassing me. No respect to their customers. No respect to my time and effort to be there at such inconvenient hour. It was hard to turn away and walk out as I lost money for not being at work, and prepared to seat for 5 hrs class as I need to accelerate the whole process. But I could not tolerate such egregious behavior. The way they acted is no excuse. Do not waste your time for this school - hard to deal, a bit of misunderstanding and they ll show you all their nature with inappropriate language and all other “perks”. Stay away and find a decent place!

The prices are average but they have old vehicles and the instructors are very nasty and make fun of you if you make a mistake, they aren't very patient what they fail to realize that their customers are all students that are new behind the wheel and don't have any experience and they need to build our confidence no knock it also they don't give any refunds and they aren't very acomdating with scheduling driving lessons

family run for the most part, and definitely worthwhile. the 5 hour class was long (as the name suggests) but the young man teaching it kept the class pretty entertaining. his father was the one dealing with the financial aspects of it, but was a nice guy. the young mans mother gave driving lessons, and she was great too (really knew how to keep a lesson stuck in your head, she was definitely the reason i passed that exam on my first try with only one lesson prior). i would (and already did) recommend this to others.

If you do not know the difference between refrigerator and car, this is a right place to learn !!!! Other wise don't waste your time. Few places in NYC offer stick shift driving lessons and I needed to learn how to drive a manual for an upcoming trip abroad. After a bit of research I settled on Brooklyn Driving School and it turned out to be a great choice. For $55 you get a 45 mins class, most if not all of it spent in the car (I was immediately given the keys on my first lesson). The neighborhood where you drive is half commercial, half residential with a big Orthodox Jewish community and lots of stop signs. I mention the latter because this could be an advantage for new drivers if your class is on Saturday (the Jewish day of prayers) as the residential neighborhood will be very quiet and free of traffic and the stop signs will force you to practice getting in and out of first gear. I took about five lessons and although I wouldn't now claim to be as comfortable driving a manual as an automatic, I can at least certainly say that I know how to drive a manual.

Just took and passed the CDL Class B P S test. Bklyn Driving School did an amazing job of preparing me for the test. Because of extra traffic, we had to take TIGHT side streets, but because of the work I had done with my instructor, Mike, I was able to negotiate all the streets and turns successfully. Great experience! If you want your bus license - go with these guys. They are the best. Update to this review - I just went through Coach Bus Training. Because of the fantastic instruction I got from Phil and Mike I was able to pass an EXTREMELY difficult two weeks of training on a 45' coach bus. And I ended up taking my test in the Snow Emergency on January 3!! Phil, Mike and BDS are the best!!! Thanks!!!

Amazing rates!! No frills driving school which gets the job done. The instructors are very good and the rates are amazingly affordable! I passed my driving test on the first attempt. I also learned how to drive a stick shift in one lesson here. So I recommend this place. Don't be misled or discouraged by how things look inside - they get the job done.

Not only did I pass, I KNEW I would pass. The confidence that Lucy instilled within me played a huge part in my test. The 5 hour class is actually entertaining and really funny, no joke. Had a great first experience learning to drive stick shift with Louie today! He was patient/calm with me, and also helped me understand what was actually going on inside the workings of the car as we went through the motions. I was a little nervous beforehand, but it couldn’t have gone better. Office crew was also very friendly, and my lesson started exactly at my scheduled time. Made it into 3rd gear on the first lesson and looking forward to further developing my stick driving skills with Brooklyn Driving School!

I had 6 lessons and a road test. I practiced on one specific car every time and then on the day of the road test I find out we are going on another completely different car. Also Lucy was late coming back from other lessons 3 times. I waited about 10-15 minutes for her. However, one time I was 10 mins late and she decided to cut my lesson short. They also took 3 weeks to schedule my road test. Instead of just finding you a date, they try to squeeze u with a group so they can take 3-5 people together. Also, the place smells like cigarettes so bad. If you have asthma then please don’t go here. They are literally smoking cigarettes inside a small office and it has a very strong smell. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I purchased a 6 lessons and 5 hrs lecture package including road test reservation. Until the last day of my lesson, which is a group lesson for 45 mins, I was fine with the instructor, Anthony. During the last lesson before we got to road test, he only gave me 5 mins to practice which didn't include parallel parking, breaking U turn, etc. On the other hand, other two trainees took more than 20 mins enough to practice turns, u turns, parkings. I asked him if I get another chance to practice more, and he answered " No" because he didn't feel comfortable about my driving. I made one mistake about wrong direction turn. and He cut off my practice. I really don't think it's fair as I paid the same amount of money as other, but I only got 5 mins. I understand he thinks i'm not ready for road test, but shouldn't he teach me the same amount as he did to other trainees? It's like "you are not going to pass the test, I don't have time for you." I like how he teaches me until today. I'm so disappointed what I have experienced. I ended up giving up my road test on that day because he left me afraid, and not enough practice.

Hey everyone, This school is really great. Granted, I have only checked out 1 school before it, which was soso, I'd have to say I had a great experience in BDS. They are really B*D*S* lol. My Instructor was Damien. If your looking for someone who is patient (I think the whole staff is), calm, respectful and really get you through the step by step procedure, he is your guy. He is even open to hearing your take on driving and will either correct or encourage it. I started pretty much from scratch with this guy and I was even complimented by road test examiner (cant be a coincident). I am over 25, yes I started late (City boy!), and was very nervous but the staff became an extended family and kept those nerves down, not as easy as it sounds. I think they follow the "give respect, get respect", my opinion. Mase was my primary contact guy over there, really diligent and courteous. Although I didn't get to work with everyone, they were still encouraging when I had my doubts. I truly recommend this school to everyone who is starting from scratch and even those with experience. Damien is just the guy who doesn't look back but forward and encourages you to do the same. BDS, if your reading this, keep up the good work and do even better. You guys are, warm, welcoming, and actually know what your talking about when it comes to driving. Love and Peace

I got my motorcycle license and my driver's license thanks to Brooklyn Driving School. Danny was the patient teacher who taught me how to pass the motorcycle road test. Kevin was my mellow driving teacher who helped me gain confidence behind the wheel and pass the road test. I'm a nervous driver and Danny and Kevin helped me relax and pushed me to make better decisions and react safely and appropriately to other people's bad driving, checked-out pedestrians, and busted up Brooklyn roads. I passed both tests on the first try. I highly recommend Brooklyn Driving School.

I passed my road test for the motorcycle license with Brooklyn Driving school, but not because they were helpful, but because i'd been riding my scooter for the past 4 months. Have not gone on their motorcycle, but their Vino 125 is pretty beat up. Their price is $189 for a scooter/motorcycle warmup before the test, and then they take you to the test site with chase car and bike of choice. Here's a tip, take the test on the scooter. My group had about 8 people, and half took the test on a motorcycle. All of them failed the test doing their circles and figure 8s. It was pretty obvious to me that a lot of them needed more practice on the motorcycle. That i believe is the fault of both the testee and the instructor. You should know your limitations and know if you need more practice. And the instructor should tell you if they think you need more practice and not just allow you to fail the test. The brooklyn driving school's website says they have a 95% passing rate. Bullsh*t. Goodluck and get plenty of practice.

This place is such a great place to learn how to drive stick shift! I went with the intention and to learn before I went to Iceland and rent a the campervan around the island. And I was able to do it including having the most random weather and terrain conditions! Great place!

Took the Pre-Roadtest 5 hr course here and it was great. The young instructor was meticulous and friendly. He did run the course for 5hr as outlined by NYS.
