EXTREMELY RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE. THE PERSON THERE ON THE COUNTER (WHICH I BELIEVE IS THE OWNER LEONI PIMENTEL)IS EXTREMELY UNWELCOMING AND UNCOOPERATIVE HE KEPT SAYING FOR MOST OF THE DAYS THAT HE HAS NO ONE AVAILABLE TO GIVE THE LESSON. IN THE END AFTER I SCHEDULED ALL MY LESSONS I JUST ASKED HIM TO CONFIRM THAT INSTRUCTORS ARE ENGLISH SPEAKING (SINCE THIS IS AN AREA WITH A HIGH HISPANIC POPULATION) HE PLAINLY SAID THAT HE DOES NOT WANT TO WORK WITH ME AND TORE AWAY ALL MY PAPERS AND THREW THEM AWAY IN THE GARBAGE. THIS PLACE SHOULD CLOSE DOWN WITH THE LEVEL OF UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR AND DISRESPECT THEY SHOW TOWARDS THEIR CUSTOMERS. SAVE YOUR MONEY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

it is a great academy, excellent teaching, the teachers actually care about the students and making sure they are safe ready to be on the road. I would defenately recommend to a friend or anyone who's interested in learning how to drive.

Very helpful and welcoming. Take there time to teach you on your weaknesses and answers all your questions. Took my driving test for the first time and passed i highly reccomend them if you are looking for a driving school in the bronx

I must say, I read the reviews from the Manhattan location and was a little skeptical, but I decided to form my own opinion and just go and get a vibe on my own. I had a very positive experience from beginning to end. On the first day, Aldolfo (sorry if I misspelled your name) went over parallel parking, 3-point turns, left and right turns. He then texted me the points he had just gone over with me. My package had 8 classes, 5 hr class, scheduling the road test and usage of the car for my road test. It was a great value for my money and Aldolfo was AMAZING! I had Darwin for 2 lessons and he was equally awesome. I would highly highly recommend this location to anyone. Every staff member I interacted with was very positive. Needless to say, I passed my road test with flying colors and I really owe it to Aldolfo. The day of my road test, I was all over the place, emotionally, because I had some personal matters to deal with, Aldolfo kept telling me I needed to relax and get comfortable because he knew I'd be fine. It may not have seemed like a big deal to him, but his confidence in me helped me a lot. I had a genuine fear of driving before I pursued lessons and now you cannot get me out of a car to drive SAFELY! Thank you all sooooo much!

Excellent driving school , GREAT instructors , english is my second language and I was so afraid of taking the test because of the language but the instructors here made me feel very confident and help me with everything I needed to pass the test!!!!! Took it yesterday and I passed!! Highly recommend this School !! Thank You guys

I would like to say thank you to Julio and Wandar for all the hard work. I passed my road test on the very first try. I never drove a car before in my life so sitting in the drivers seat yet alone actually driving was so surreal. I'm very happy I had these two young men teaching me the laws of the road while also preparing me to be more confident while on the streets of NYC. Thank you very much especially JULIO I practiced in the bronx location and trust me it wasn't easy and it was a bit costly but you get what you pay for. On that note good luck to you newbies. I'll see you on the road. :)

I just want to thank Akademia so much for helping me to get my license back. Yes I passed my road test today. If you want a school that's going to teach you the basics for passing the road test then definitely come here. They have instructors that will teach you what you need to know to pass. Just listen to them. They will explain the rights and wrongs of what you are doing. That's what I needed. They will explain things and teach you methods that will help you. They have reasonable package plans and you can schedule extra classes as well.

Had an amazing experience the instructor was very detailed in everything he was teaching. He was also very patient and took his time to explain everything. I only took two classes because it was all I needed but I would highly recommend this school to anyone. I gained the confidence I was missing to pass my drivers test and I passed it very easily. Thank you once again Akademia driving school but most importantly thank you Adolfo (my instructor) because of you I passed my test in the first try.

I picked Akademia driving school just by watching how to past the road test video. Once I started taking the classes at the Bronx driving school, I passed my road test on the first try. Jerrick is one of the best driving instructors that I have taken lessons with. He's patient, calm spoken & helps you achieve the confidence you need to get your license. I would recommend Bronx Akademia Driving School in a heartbeat..

This was a great experience. Adolfo and Gelvis( not sure if I have it right) were very patient and detailed! They taught me everything I need to know to become a safe driver. I passed my test and only got 5 points. You need 30 to fail! It was almost perfect thanks to these two.

Oh my god!!!! I just passed my road test 7/15/16 all because of DARWIN!!!!! i have had 2 other instructors and he by far is the best. He was ver professional and patient with me and assured me i would pass. There aren't enough word to describe how appreciative i am of Akademia driving school..... i am definitely going to recommend them to all my friends

They might be good at teaching but their customers service sucks. I called for information about their stick shift package and I don't know how the guy just told me "are you going to tell me how to do my job?" I was like ah? How did we get to this point

I got my permit May 1 then signed up for 8 classes on May 4. They scheduled my road test for May 30th. The last time i actually drove a car was about 13 years ago. Back then i was just learning and only had a few lessons from my father, so i forgot everything. The instructions were very helpful and understanding. I took my road test yesterday and i actually passed the first time. I was extremely surprised. But i would definitely recommend people here.

Definitely recommend this place! They are so professional and well spoken. My instructor explained everything briefly to me and made me feel very comfortable when driving. I've drove about 2-3x times my whole life and only took 3 classes and I passed my road test on my first try thats how amazing the instructor was :)
