Have you ever hear your friends talk about an awesome MSF course that was fun, they learned a ton, and passing the test was a breeze because of how thorough the instruction was? Well this is that place! The instructors are super chill and it was as close to one on one training as you can get. Every time you got a maneuver right they would be just as excited as you where! I went in with years of teaching myself how to ride and all the bad habits that come with learning the hard way. They immediately seen where i was struggling and corrected it. Motorcycles are these peoples lives and i really got the impression that they just wanted to share that with me.

Absolutely fantastic place. Well worth every penny and every drop of sweat left behind. Al and Teri really go way above and beyond and are excellent teachers. Everyone should do this course before getting on a motorcycle.

I took the basic riding course with them a few years ago, and man, did they give me the tools to stay alive out there! I learned a lot of valuable riding tips and tricks from them that did actually save my hide on more occasions than I can count! Before taking the course with Silver State Motorcycle Academy, I had been riding for years without a license, getting permits on several occasions, but I had never followed through to get the endorsement. I went in to the class with an open mind and learned a lot more than I had ever even considered before, and the instructors all have a very fun and entertaining way to teach! Since then, I've gone down on my bike a couple times, due to unavoidable circumstances, but I survived it and still live to enjoy riding for the freedom it gives me. I've been through all kinds of weather on a bike. I've ridden through whiteout blizzards, took my old Honda Shadow off road in places that it doesn't belong, and even rode that old cruiser through the snow and ice in Reno all winter long, because it was my sole transportation. I never had any major issues, all because I keep many of their teachings in my mind every time I ride. I've had people compliment me on my riding skills, saying that I handle a big cruiser like a bicycle after seeing me in a parking lot, but I always politely say thanks and refer them to the guys who taught me how to get the basics down. I would highly recommend this fun group of bike-loving, honest and down to earth people to teach any of my friends! They're sure to make an impression and bring a grin to your face for years to come! Teri & Al at Silver State Motorcycle Academy (SMA) are absolutely fantastic instructors & business owners. I had taken an MSF course previously with another institution in the past, and this was honestly a night & day difference. Where the prior class had little instruction and was hardly any fun (felt like detention), this class felt like educational recess! Safety, fun & learning are their priorities, which resulted in the best possible learning & performance I could've possibly experienced. I've taken now the MSF Basic Rider Course with Teri, and the elective Dirt course with Al, and both have their unique strengths in teaching. They definitely know their stuff, and by the time you're done with their class, you will too. Book your class ASAP, as they fill up quickly (and for good reason). It's worth every dollar, mile & minute of your time!! I could not possibly recommend Teri & Al any higher! SMA earns a A+ / 5-Star FOR THE WIN!!!

My class with silver state motorcycle academy was an amazing experience!! Teri was extremely upbeat and encouraging. Al took special time with me to help correct my “bad habits”. The skills I learned with them helped me overcome my anxiety after a crash. They provided me with a Long range of skills that helped build my confidence and make me a much better rider. The class was smaller, only 5 people, so had more time to practice and better coaching. The classes fill up fast so book ASAP! Thank you Teri and Al!
