Before joined NTI wasn't sure how I would do in this industry although with excellent teaching and leadership Ed (and Will) provided my confidence was quickly improved. I will be honest at while Ed was grading our first test in fundamental I was incredibly discouraged as the test seemed to well "test" my knowledge and put me In my place and showing me my current ignorance at the time. Then what Ed said to be one of the harder courses began Electrical I. This was my absolute favorite part of the class by far as it tested my knowledge and proved to be very satisfying to see the light turn on when I wired what was asked correctly. The next course Electrical II was very interesting because I was able to apply what I learned from Electrical I to actual units which was less fun but was still a enjoyable enough being able to finally put two and two together from what I learned on the boards to the hands on learning with the units themselves. After that course we were finally able to play with FIRE!! as Ed and Will carefully showed us the correct way to light a torch and braze our pipes we got to cut and debur ourselves witch mine may not have been the best although I was proud of how I did. Later on the course I was most worried about came along Troubleshooting. Now to be honest I do t know what I was affraid of. It was simply applying everything I already knew to find out what was wrong. Then finally the EPA exam came and I studied hard and was sure enough I was going to get my universal certification. Then I took the test and only passed one of the 4 sections of the test. I can't lie I was incredibly disheartened and upset. Although Ed and Will assured me that it was okay and I would simply past the test on the next day. With this I went home and studied as much as I could. Then the next day I got my universal certification with overall (I'd like to say) good scores. It may not have seemed like it at the time but Will's and Ed's words of encouragement got through to me and we'll encouraged me! Now starts Commercial the final course and the end of my journy. I'm excited to become an apprentice and work to further my knowledge and skills on the field to become an excellent tech. On the first day of class we were told to write our goals on a piece of paper. I wrote "get on the wall twice" and hope that I did it. Thank you NTI for giving me this opportunity and helping me further improve my future. (P.S. Thanks to Patricia for helping me with my resume!)

The instructors are all very knowledgeable and helpful. Classes right now at night, but is you’re interested in daytime classes, be sure to let whoever you talk to know this. They are very interested in starting day classes as well. What’s your excuse to not further your career options or start a new career? Especially if you are unsure of what you what to do.

Attending National Technical Institute has been fulfilling and worth while. I wanted a trade school that put me on the fast track to another lasting career. Each student will get out of this program what you put into it. If you are serious about your future job choice then the Instructors and faculty will be serious with you as well. I received plenty of guidance and knowledge while attending this particular course. Hands on experience is the main focus from the Instructors and they do well to challenge your perseverance. If you put the work in and make a few sacrifices you will do so. Only two weeks after graduating I've been able to get work in a completely different state. I'm an 18 year old was not sure what I wanted to do after highschool and as I came in rich (one of the front desk people) greeted me, and inspired me to chase this trade and motivated me day by day. And as my first day started my instructor roger who's a Certified Master HVAC/R Educator helped me through out the whole 3 months of this course. They will teach you how to be a professional HVAC/R technician and do thing the right way. Staff is amazing Kelly who's always checking up on you followed by Patricia as well. Other instructors also will give you a hand and help you get different views of things. I've gone to other HVAC schools and I got to say NTI is the best HVAC school there is in vegas!

This is an excellent learning establishment to introduce yourself to the HVAC trade. As a Veteran I was very pleased to know that they accept the GI Bill and help my education and career as a HVAC Technician. You can still learn in this program having prior experience or walking in without any knowledge. This is a dedicated learning environment that gives you the tools for success in the trade. In the program I have learned the “Ins and Outs” of an air conditioning system and how to repair the system and diagnose a problem to begin the troubleshooting sequence and then find and fix the problem. They also share their prior experiences out in the field that help give you a perspective on customer service and being a professional. I highly recommend this school for someone looking for training in a fulfilling career to start them on the path of success.

Ty Branaman. I started the review with his name because I owe him for changing my life. I bought into the short cut way of not getting proper training and listened to other techs say it's a waste of time and money to pay for classes. It almost cost me working in an industry that I love and is AWESOME!!! The techs who dont make it, dont see the potential and never get to make the money others do fail to get the education needed to succeed as HVAC tech. Ty makes the class fun, ties in the new and old way of doing things, genuinely loves to help others and transformed me into tech that can go anywhere, work anywhere, and make just about anything I want because this industry pays you by how determined you are. In the end, the most determined and successful technitions in this field had someone to teach them the "manufacturers" way of doing it and as you'll hear him say many times.. it's the only way that holds up in court. Thank you NTI for the classroom and I owe you for being one hell of a teacher Ty.

Great Course, but its not easy. Lots of info short amount of time. It was hard for me, it had been 12 years since I had been in a classroom setting. If you dont stay focused and STUDY, you will drown. Roger our instructor is phenominal, his knowledge and teaching style is great. He wont hold your hand. Classroom setting is like the job setting. Be on time, study, ask questions, ask for help when things are not clear, and he will bend over backwards to help. If you do not put in the effort, it will be a rough 192 hours. Kelly, Patrica and Rich go out of their way to help with everything. I look forward to the Plumbing course.

A 20 year old that had literally no idea of the A/C world. The instructor Ty Branaman fantastic teacher, great teaching skills I can go on and on about how his teaching skills are great but trying to make this a short review. When it comes to education the school exceeds. When it comes to finances and affording the class they got plenty of options for people and they work with you so another great plus. Lastly the AMOUNT OF TIME it takes for ty and the staff to make you a technician is amazing the course is just three months longs so it’s not a long commitment.

Having looked at all of the HVAC schools in the Las Vegas area, I am very happy that I chose in NTI. The class schedule is extremely flexible, offering days, nights and weekends. The price of the course is very fair, with several payment options. I met with David and he gave me a tour of the campus. David always looks out for your interests, making sure you feel comfortable with your choices. I am currently halfway through my education at NTI. My instructor's name is Jason, he is an outstanding individual. I truly believe there is not a residential or commercial HVAC situation that Jason has not seen in Las Vegas. That statement says a lot considering the extreme heat in Las Vegas. Jason's instruction is very easy to follow and he is a pleasure to have as an instructor. He possesses a pride in his work that many people don't have today. Recently, a new instructor named Cliff has been joining our class. If I had to describe Cliff in one word, it would be wisdom. He is a walking encyclopedia of HVAC/R. He has a calm educating demeanor. Cliff and Jason are a huge asset to NTI, and the students receiving their tutelage. There is also a classroom assistant named Roger. Roger is a recent graduate of NTI, and is always willing to help students achieve greatness. If you are looking for a great place to receive your HVAC/R education, look no further.

The class I attended was accelerated and the exams keep you on your toes. This is not class for people that want to skate bye. You must put in the time. Whether you are just starting out or have experience in the field. I highly recommend this school for anyone wanting to enter the HVAC field.

This school is amazing! I feel I learn best when I'm hands on. This school does just that. The trainers are thorough and patient and do their best to make sure you succeed. They have several stations that you can gain practical experience with and you get to work with the same tools and scenarios that you would in the field. The educators go out of their way to stay after and come in on off days to make sure you're proficient in what theyre teaching you. I've installed AC units in the past and this school has taught me the correct way to approach this trade. I highly recommend this school if you're looking to get into the HVACR trade the correct way.

When I decided to join the HVAC industry, I looked at a few different course options. I won't lie and say the price had nothing to do with my interest in attending NTI, but I will say that once I got a chance to sit down with the staff and tour the facilities, I knew right away that this was the place I needed to be. The staff are all wonderful people who go out of their way to treat you like more than just another face in the crowd. They'll work with you on scheduling and finance and do whatever is in their power to help you make this dream a reality. The instructor is a high-energy guy who's happy to help you if you're struggling, but also isn't afraid to get on you if it seems like you're slacking. Most important is that he cares about the students and wants them to succeed, and that shows. I took a three month accelerated course and the time demands were high even for me, only working a part-time job. It's time-consuming and so it's also stressful, but It's worth it. It takes dedication and commitment, but once you feel it start coming together you'll see that it's worth it. If you want to join the HVAC industry, NTI should absolutely be your first consideration.

Attending NTI has been one of the best career decisions ive made. this course is very reasonably priced, the class is not oversized, and the teachers are very knowledgeable on the information. My teacher TY is great at his job. he has so much knowledge about hvac and knows how to teach it in a way that sticks. not only is there class but we also do many many labs in which you can physically see how a AC or heater works. you can disassemble and reassemble ac units, heaters, ventilation systems, and electrical components. i loved how hands on this course is. they figured out how to take all the fluff out and give you the raw material NEEDED to be sucessfull in HVAC. the course is only 3 months long and they even supply you with tools before graduation. the staff will help you build your resume and contact employers for possible job placement to

Before national technical Institute I wasn't quite sure about what trade I should get into. The way I found out about national technical institute was on the news on how the program was very helping in preparing people like myself in the work environment getting your feet wet before you even go out and start to work a job like this even for someone who is a beginner it's A real good program anybody should try it. I felt that the moment I saw it on the news then looked at the reviews and then went by and checked it out I knew this is a place for me to develop a new kind a trade. I'm really happy that I experienced this program and that I learned a lot of new things that I never learned even when I was in construction this is terrific everybody should give this a try if you need to find something or if you need to do something if you love air-conditioning units like I do then this is for you. My instructor Ed was really good at explaining giving us ideas on what to do and even said that if ever we struggle with something out there in the field we can always give them a call or anybody a call and ask them what it is that could be a problem we're struggling with. I also like how they post all the job options out there and what is the look into and they always tell us and prepare us just in case can we go do interviews I actually am glad that I took at the institution it was great a great experience for me.

Out of other options for HVAC training, NTI offered the most while still offering a low tuition rate. Staff is quite friendly. I personally am not enrolled, however, my partner is currently enrolled and absolutely enjoys his time at NTI. He comes home every night and gives me a crash course into HVAC. Do I understand? No. Am I going into HVAC? No. But I love that my partner has a place to learn about a topic he is passionate about

I'm about halfway through the program currently at NTI and overall I am happy here. Courses work out to be about one hundred dollars per hour, so time is literally money. Our instructor is mindful of this and mostly keeps the class on track to minimize non-instructional time. I feel like the staff truly cares about us and wants us to learn and be successful. We are taught by professionals who are familiar with the demands of the industry; it is nice to get relevant information on what local companies are looking for ahead of time from someone who actually knows first hand. Like anything in life, you get out what you put in; I feel like my time at NTI has been productive so far, and I am gaining valuable information that will be needed when entering into the HVAC field. If you are serious about learning, and your future career, I think you too will benefit from this program and not be disappointed. The curriculum is geared toward giving you a foundation of HVAC; how it works, how to diagnose it, and how to repair it in the real world. I like the fast pace of this course compared to other schools in the area that cost much more while taking longer to complete. Again, time is money and the sooner I complete training the sooner I can get into the field and start earning a paycheck.
