I took the road test with Keith Lee. Keith is a very professional examiner. He was already waiting at the testing site before I arrived at my scheduled time. He is very friendly, patient and explains everything really well. He made me feel very comfortable due to which I drove with a lot of confidence and I did not feel that I was being tested. I was able to easily pass the test. Highly recommend!

Let me begin by stating that Jennifer did an excellent job. I moved here from Toronto and coming from Toronto, I never needed a driving license. So here I am, 23 years old, without a licence and never driven before. So considering my late blooming into driving hood, I can honestly say that I am a very confident driver now, thanks to Jennifer. No incidents and I have already put 12k miles on my car (I had lessons back in October of 2015). Take this review as a genuine recommendation for this driving school and especially for Jennifer.

I looked at plenty of places reviews and decided to go with alert driving school. I made an appointment online with Keith Lee. I called 4 days before and no one answered, I left a voicemail telling them I'm just trying to confirm my appointment. Come test day Keith doesn't show up, I managed to get hold of his assistant on Facebook messenger and she told me he had asked for my contact info that morning but hasn't heard anything else from him and gave me his number. I call/text him nothing. Took a day off work for nothing until I decided to try same day road test and they got me in that day and I took my test($20 cheaper). While I was at secretary of state getting my license after I passed my test Keith had called me and said "I'm must have gotten my days confused" Do yourself a favor and find a place for your road test that won't waste your time

I recently moved Downstate and had been in the UP for past 2 years where the traffic is minimal. Hence, I was really nervous about the test as I never really practiced driving in a lot of traffic. Keith helped me deal with the nervousness, even while driving he tried to maintain a conversation with me which made me really comfortable. Ultimately, after finishing the test, he also gave me some tips for driving, especially on what I could do to be a more safe driver. If you are planning to give a test, this is where you should give it!

I had my driving skills test done at the Alert Driving School about a month ago and it was a great experience. My instructor was Jennifer and she was so incredibly nice. She made it a point to make me feel comfortable which resulted in a very calm and composed driving skills test. I would highly recommend this place to ANY new drivers for several reasons. They are not in it for the money. They are not crazy and won't freak you out even if you are doing something wrong. They will just calmly explain why what you did was wrong and explain how to avoid having such or even overcoming these situations in the future. The driving school is a little far from where I live but hey, it was totally worth it.

It was like driving while having a friend ride with you. If you're in the area, I suggest you take your test and lessons with them.

This is by far the best test of any kind I have ever taken. I was the only student in my slot, so that was awesome. The instructor Keith was amazing. I think that we talked and laughed nearly the entire time. He is very knowledgeable and gave great tips from first hand experience as he said he used to be a paramedic. I only took the road test with him, but I imagine taking the class with him is wonderful as well.

Keith is amazing! I highly reccomend taking your road test here! I was a bit nervous but he was so kind and really made me comfortable. The first time I took the test I failed, he showed me where I went wrong and gave me tips to practice so that I could pass and then got me in for another appointment the following day after practicing exactly what he said I passed. He tells you exactly what you need to do before the test and even gave me tips and safe driving skills to keep in mind while on the road, he really takes his time and I can tell he is passionate about what he does. Dexter is an amazing guy. He will make you very comfortable during road test and he will make sure that you keep correcting your mistakes. So listen to him carefully while taking the road test. I passed my road test just because of the useful tips of Dexter. This school is really great for road test and Academy driving school is worst because they are just hungry for money.

Finished the on-road test just this morning. Keith Lee is a great examiner, patient, kind and very professional. He arrived the venue quite early - when we arrived the place 30 min before the appointed time, we found all stuff had been set up. He repeated himself patiently if you could not 100% understand his instruction first time, and gave his suggestions on a safe driving in a gentle way. I recommend this driving school.

Before entering to do test I was extremely nervous but from start to finish he made me feel at ease and relax and had great convo as part of the car ride, he lets you know your mistakes in the process and teaches you how to be a better driver after. Had my driving test today with Jennifer at 8am. She was awesome from the time we set up the appointments (which was changed several times because of some unavoidable circumstances on both sides) up to the very test itself. Very friendly and patient as we started with the parking test and on the road she put me at ease easily, being precise and clear with her instructions and giving positive and encouraging comments when I did well on my driving. At the end of the session she gave pointers on how to improve some of my not so well done maneuvers which I really appreciate because I knew my driving was not yet that perfect. She also answered my questions on some driving rules I found a bit vague. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a fair and excellent examiner who would make them feel confident all through out the test (and that is not because I passed).

I was notified by text message from Jennifer on July 4th that the July 12 2016 8am to 10am class was cancelled due to low enrollment. The alternative classes offered was not convenient for me so I asked for a refund of the money I paid up front for the class. I heard from Jennifer and she said her father would have the check in the mail the next day and gave me her dad's direct number. A week has passed, no check and no called regarding when the check would come. I called him several times and he did not answer. Called the main business number and the voicemail was full, you could not leave a message. I just feel that when they cancel a class you should not have to go through changes to get your refund. This is $190 we are talking about. I will never use this company again and I have other children that will need drivers training and I will not recommend it to anyone....

I texted Jennifer, as it states on the website because she prefers texts over phone calls. She told me that the earlier we could book would be August 10th. I responded asking what is the earliest time we could take the test at and about 24 hours later I get a response saying they are now booked through the 28th. She had a friend contact me from a few towns over to get me scheduled in this week.

My daughter took her road test today with Alert. Alert is family owned and operated and that comes through in the caring way they run their business. From the ease of setting up the test, detailed info and follow up, to the test itself, we could not be more pleased. The instructor was so patient, clear with instructions, and put my daughter at ease so she could drive without being nervous etc... She completed her test successfully and the instructor took extra time to talk with me as well. We are so happy we got this recommendation from friends and I will suggest Alert to all our friends as well!

My recent immigrant stepson took the driving road test today (Sunday morning). Both Keith and Jennifer were top notch. Warm and friendly, but also efficient, punctual and professional. Jennifer's clear instructions and pleasant attitude helped my stepson feel confident and comfortable during his road test. They are a small family business and their services are obviously very popular, which makes them a bit difficult to reach at times. If you're scheduling a driving test, your best bet is to call the number on their web site, get Jennifer's number from the Marian High School option and text her to get things rolling. Hope that helps, because you definitely want to use these folks.

This is a extremely great group of people! They really do want to see people succeed and become a confident driver. I took my daughter to them and I was impressed with how they coached her and wanted her to do well. I highly recommend that anyone go to them to drive well and with confidence. I had signed up to take my road test using their sign up genius and it switched my appointment without consulting me first. It moved a day earlier, when I wasn’t available, and deleted the day I had booked it for altogether. All of their other options showed were already filled so I couldn’t reschedule it. I get that things can come up but they should have consulted with the clients before moving their appointments so that it would be for a time that works for them.

I would rate this place 10 stars if I could. Jennifer is the best! I was very anxious learning to drive but Jennifer was so very patient with me. Every lesson felt like I was just driving with a friend. She made me feel at ease, and with my anxiety issues, that's pretty hard to do! I do not feel as anxious anymore. She helped me gain confidence and she is very sincere in wanting her students to learn. I took my exam with Dexter, and he's another awesome person. He does what he can to make you feel comfortable during the test and he gives you pointers how to be a better driver too. This is definitely the place for driving lessons/road test!

I'm from Brazil and traffic rules here are very different from my country. So, I had to take some classes to get used with it. Jennifer was my teacher, and I simply loved the way she teaches. She incredibly nice and make you feel very comfortable when you are driving. She clarified all my doubts and gave me valuable tips. I was really impressed with her patient. And the way she corrected my mistakes helped me to keep in mind how exactly I had to do to drive safely. I highly recommend her classes. Extremely professional instructors and examiners! I took a lesson with Dexter. He corrected my mistakes, and taught me how to do parallel parking easy way! He also gave me very important driving tips so now I feel more secure while driving!!! I took my exam with Jennifer and passed it! She is an incredibly nice person. PATHETIC. So unprofessional. KEITH LEE not only took 5 DAYS to get back to me to schedule a simple road test, but he then STOOD ME UP for the appointment we made. I waited around for him at the agreed location for AN HOUR while he ignored my phone calls. This place is a joke, you can't even call the driving school and talk to a real person, you just have to leave a message and hope and pray not only that this bonehead calls you back, but that he actually SHOWS UP for the appointment. There are plenty of other driving schools out there, waste your time and money elsewhere. Alert Driving School, you owe me a road test.

My daughter took her classes through Courtesy at her high school and had a horrible road test experience that ended with her in tears. We found Keith Lee’s name online through Alert Driving School, and she re-took her test with him. Keith was friendly, patient, soft-spoken, and put both my daughter and myself at ease. He gave detailed constructive criticisms and advice, which we appreciated. In the end, she passed her test with confidence. Parents, your children don’t deserve to be humiliated, yelled at, and embarrassed in an already stressful situation such as a driving test. Please take my advice and go to Alert Driving School.

If you're looking for the best place to take your road test then look no more. This is the right place to take a road test hands down. I took my road test today with Jennifer and it was amazing. She was super nice, very calm, very patient, and she gave me very helpful tips.
