I learned a lot and actually had fun coming in everyday. Thanks John!

Aradhna Johnson

I learned a lot at this school and they gave us breaks throughout the day so that we weren't too bored. And, the staff is super nice! I'm glad I came to this school.

Coreen Cocotheblogger gardner

I would highly recommend them, John, Lisa, José great people. If you want to pass your road test give them a call ASAP

The absolute WORST customer service!! Incompetent staff to say the least!!! No call no show for scheduled driving lessons. Cancels lessons the day of and canceled my son’s road test 4 days prior to! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! There are 2 more driving schools in Waltham....

Sunit Trehan

If you are looking for the best...then you are at the right place...They take care of everything from booking a weekend slot to a clean car to important pointers...They try their best to give you as much knowledge as they can for the driving test... I was highly satisfied. Conclusion: Helpful...cooperative...considerate... reasonable..they have to be your choice

Cailyn Manning

Very fun and informative. Would recommend to everyone

Today I passed my road test! I just wanna say that as someone with severe anxiety and has a hard time around new people the 2 lessons I had before my road test really helped me be prepared for my test because the instructors are extremely nice and helpful! Also, to anyone who's nervous about parallel parking check out John Baez's YouTube video on a method that works 100% of the time!!

Charanya Kannan

John is a great teacher. He owns the school, and I got lucky that he ended up teaching me that day as my instructor went on leave. He taught me to parallel park in 5 minutes. He was fun, encouraged me a lot and trained me precisely in areas that I was lacking while letting me know what I did well. At the end of the two hours, he said I don't need any more classes- which was refreshing, he didn't try to sell more classes to me.

Anderson Villefranche

Had the opportunity to work with boston drivers ed they made the process very pleasant they handle the whole procedure and kept me informed with the rmv highly recommended and a pleasure to do business with.

longdog

I cannot speak about the quality of their drivers ed service but the service I got while scheduling a road test was horrid. They rescheduled me three times and I ended up taking the test six weeks after I initially scheduled it. They were rude and short tempered over the phone and offered no apology or explanation regarding a six week difference between the date I paid for and the date that I ended up taking the test.

Mia Ramos

The Teachers are amazing and Extremely Nice and the classes are really Helpful! Plus the Driving Teachers try their best to make you feel comfortable and Not Nervous on the Road, Glad I chose this School :)

Xilarate

This class was well prepared and fun from day one. I learned more than just the basic driving, but life skills that will help me forever. The service was great. All of the teachers and instructors were the best.

Teddy Seidman

Love this class wouldn't recommend any place else! I just took my permit test and I wouldn't have passed without coming here

Anna Cuddeback

The staff at the school was always helpful and ot was clear that everyone is there because they want to see their students succeed. The class was interactive and kept people engaged.

Sheena Nakahira

I passed my driving test today! I enrolled for a Saturday test with two hr driving lesson. The RMV moved the test date on a Tuesday 8am instead of Saturday which i dont mind because I am pretty flexible schedule wise, but not maybe for those with tight schedule. The test was held in Dorchester. John was really accommodating during the test day, gave us orientation and went thru all the techniques again. The test went smoothly, two students per car and switch turns during the exam. It was pretty quick. The reason for 4 stars is just due to difficulty making schedules for the lesson. I got hanged up the phone twice after waiting for 20 mins on the phone. Otherwise this is 5 star. Mary who answered my third call was very nice and precise on the scheduling. Jose was my instructor during the driving lesson and he was very friendly and warm and went thru my weaknesses over and over until i perfect my parallel parking. Overall, this was a very good experience, and i will recommend this place to friends. Thank you very much.

Edward Nunez

This is the best place ever I am very grateful to be here!! Love it so much it’s so fun!! And I am actually getting better in my practice test!!!

Veronica Ramos

This is a good preparation for getting us ready to be on the road people from different city come and enjoy the class. The instructors are hilarious and its a fun class. Really

Michael Maione

Absolutely great driving school taught me everything I needed to know and all of the instructors were very helpful and cared for the final grade I got. The atmosphere and people all make it a great place to learn.

Andrew Reynolds

It was great and will done i am going to tell people about this class. Even if it took my break up i enjoyed going to this class

Matthew Stevens

Best driving school ever! They teach you everything you need to know and it won't burn a hole in your pocket!

Giovanni Battista

Very unprofessional!!! I tried to contact John hundred times to schedule me one driving lesson and the road test, most of the time he didn't respond me or the office were closed or respond to my email after 5-6 days. Today, after one month and half, I received the message that they scheduled the road test for Saturday at 7am in Braintree and I live in Watertown... Also I asked him hundred times that I need driving lesson before the road test so I refused to take the road test. Now I don’t know if I have to pay something... And he didn’t call me back to explain me better. I don’t know how he can manage this driving school. The only thing I know is TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL.

Nicole Russell

The staff is incredibly helpful and they go out of their way to make you a better driver and to assist you in the process of obtaining your license... I would reccomend this driving school to anyone

Cristina C

We did not take any classes with them. We met them at the road test. They gave us several tips to pass the exam. It was very helpful. And we passed. Very nice people, we recommend them.

Chao Liu

The best driving school in waltham! John is a good and responsible man. Thanks for helping me pass the road test. Recommend it strongly!

Cristian Cabral

I recommend this place because they teach very well and helped me learn a lot about driving.

Tatiana Movsesian

Very bad school. Took forever to get my license and they are so unorganized. They lie about what you said to them to make themselves look innocent and they are just very unprofessional. I used to go and sit with them all the time instead of calling to be nice and they were rude overall.

Tejas Shah

Unprofessional.... The staff change their schedule without informing you and then blame you for not calling them to confirm the timings. First lesson was rescheduled... Second lesson (which was the first lesson rescheduled) was fine.... Third lesson no one showed up, cos they changed the schedule and din't bother to inform me. only good part was, I got refunded in full.

Mirna M

Worth every hour of my school vacation

Jubi Lee

This school provides a fun way to learn how to drive all teachers make sure you are having a good time while learning

Kristina Martin

This is a fun and safe driving school! John is the best. They really motivate you to learn and interact. It was also a great bonding experience!

Mary Streletska

Waited 4 hours to take the rd. test just to find out they didn't put me on a list! So for $125 for a road test you just get to sit in their car and that's about it! They told me to come to Dorchester ( and I live in Waltham) at 2 pm for my road test, I came exactly at 2pm just to find out that there were 12 people before me and they started earlier. 4 hours later!!! they put me in their car, no props no instructions no anything and they made me wait another hour in a car because inspector took another student from another driving school who booked that time with her. After another hour they put me behind the wheel and surprise surprise I WASN'T ON THE LIST! So I paid $125 for the road test and Boston Driver's Ed didn't put me on the list. I started freaking out and inspector called her manager from RMV and told me to go wait till she gets manager's approval for my test. After another 30 minutes they told me I was all set. So DISCLAIMER: I failed the road test because my driving was terrible and I know it. I don't blame driving school for that BUT I blame Boston Driver's Ed for terrible organization which led to me failing the test! I don't think anyone would do well after driving for an hour from Waltham to Dorchester with your CRYING 3 MONTH OLD BABY in your car and waiting for another 4 hours to find out you weren't on the LIST! So thanks a lot Boston Driver's ED for wasting my time, my money and making my 3 m.o. son wait for 5 hours in my car, all for nothing.

hector semnack

Very good driving school the owner John treated me like family and his secretary Lisa nicest lady. If your Hispanic they speak Spanish i highly recommend this school for new drivers and young people looking to learn to drive. They teach you what you need to know and help out very well with the road test. If it wasn't for john wouldn't have passed. Ask for John to take you out for practice or Derek. They also have a high road test pass rate from there students. If you are from out of state i highly recommend taking at lest a 2 hour lesson with Boston drivers. When i took my test the majority of people falling were from out of state and thought they can pass without a refresher call the school talk to Lisa or go online. Thank you John and Lisa muchas gracias.

Great experience! Booked my test and figured everything else out for me. Great teachers: caring, welcoming, and very resourceful. Highly recommended!

aswini kumar ratha

If you are planning to go for a Saturday road test through this school don't go. I booked my road test a month before. They didn't communicate anything till two days before the road test. When, I called them, they told me, " the test has been postponed because of unavailability of RMV officer". Also, the test was conducted at a different city near Boston and it's not at Waltham. On the day of test also the way they conducted the test, it was really unprofessional. The Officer stopped the test from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM and my turn came only after 5:00 PM. Also, I experienced, there is 80% probability of failing the test if you are not a student of the school. The car will be different then the one you have practiced and the adjustment will be different then you have in your practiced car.

Jessie Young

a great place to learn

Jazzmyne Mikel

I went for my road test yesterday and John was a true gem. He was patient and made me feel at ease during my test. I made two mistakes during my test but I was able to still pass. It was definitely meant for me to go through him. I practiced an hour before the test with him. He teaches you tricks that no other school has taught me and I went to two different driving schools prior to signing up with his school. Thank you John for everything your the best.

gisselle martinez

John and his staff are very friendly. They help you to achieve your goals even when you believe you cant.

Rama Rao

Great experience. Almost won an iPad from them. Knowledgeable instructors shonstill make a boring experience fun!

Emma Gao

Boston driver's ed is brilliant! John is the best instructor you can expect, and so are the other instructors. If you want to get a license in short time period, this school will be the way to go!

Stephie Occil

Had an amazing time, was able to learn and have fun.

Amin Touri

This school is excellent. I went into Drivers Ed expecting to be bored out of my mind and waste a week of my summer, but was extremely and pleasantly suprised at my actual experience. I walked out of Boston Driver's Ed with everything I needed to know to safely get behind the wheel, and had a good time learning. John Baez is an instructor who can keep his students engaged and entertained, while still providing the information they need. Never a dull moment in the class, I had plenty of fun without sacrificing the learning component of the class. I will absolutely be recommending the school to my friends, and can't wait to return in a couple of weeks for my driving lessons.

Gabriela Medina

Absolutely the best experience with driving schools so far. Super friendly staff. I spent less than an hour with them and felt super comfortable and they do a very nice job preparing students for their road test.

Breauna Rivera

Best week, it went by so fast and I have learned so much. Can't wait to get on the road with them.

Gisselle Ortiz

Very nice people and had a lot of fun learning everything!!! Would recommend to everyone!

Libessa Elizabeth

This place is AWESOME and staff is AMAZING!!! Thank you guys for helping me feel comfortable to pass!!!!

Natasha Van Jaarsveld

This is the best driving school ever! I did not do any lessons with them due to them being fully booked, but I did the sponsored Saturday road test with them, and my test was on Monday. I've never met John before, and that day he greeted me with a friendly face and talked to me as if he knew me forever. He calmed everyone's nerves and he made jokes what made it much easier. Unfortunately I failed due to bad habits(just know that it had nothing to do with the schools lessons, like I said, I did not take lesson through them, I did through another school), after that John offered me a free lesson to help me improve my bad habits, which I had to decline because I booked 2 lessons with them, and because they were fully booked, they needed to refund me, so instead of the free lesson, I just said that I'll take the 2 lessons again, and not take the refund and the free lesson. I called them and he was able to help me get the driving lesson on the weekend. They are really nice people and the friendliest ever. Do go there when you :)

Never trust the appointment and any words from anyone of this school without a written agreement. My wife intended to take a road test before we move on July 22nd. We visited John's office on Jun 1st and purchased 5 times 2-hour lesson, making appointments on Jun 7th, Jun 9th, Jun 12th, Jun 14th and Jun 16th. On Jun 7th, 10 minutes before the appointment, John, the owner of the school, sent a text to my cell phone saying the lesson had to be rescheduled because of the problem of the vehicle's brake. We had to call Lisa, the lady in the office, on next Monday and rescheduled a lesson on Jun 26th. During that call, I told Lisa my wife would like to take a road test on Jun 27th. Lisa said that's okay and would let me know the progress. On Jun 9th, the driving lesson went through well. On Jun 12th, at the time we scheduled, my wife called the office to make sure when instructor would pick her up. Lisa answered the phone and told my wife that she would contact the instructor and call back. Fifteen minutes later, as not receiving any call, my wife called Lisa again. Lisa told her that because of traffic jam, the instructor's car could not arrive on time. She asked my wife to reschedule the lesson. So we rescheduled a lesson on Jun 25th. During that call, when my wife tried to confirm the forth appointment on Jun 14th, Lisa told her that the lesson had to be rescheduled as well because there would be road tests on Jun 14th (Sunday). That lesson was rescheduled on Jun 22nd. Last appointment was on Jun 16th. On that day, the car didn't show up at the appointed time. My wife called Lisa to make sure everything was okay. Lisa said the instructor was on her way and would pick her up in 10 minutes. Thirty minutes were passed, no car coming. When my wife called Lisa again, Lisa said that the instructor named Katie had cancelled the lesson because Katie thought there were communication barriers between her and my wife. I felt angry and called John. We made an appointment to meet on the next day. On next day (Jun 17th), one of our friend, my wife and I went to the office. We talked about what had happened. We had appointed 5 2-hour lessons, but only one went through well. All other fours were canceled or rescheduled for the school's reasons. Especially, only the first time, we got information 10 minutes before the appointed time. The office (Lisa) and instructors can rescheduled lessons freely even though they didn't inform us in advance. How meaningless it is to make an appointment with this school. John apologized to us and refunded us the fee for 8-hour driving lessons. During this meeting on Jun 17th, we got to know that the road test appointment on Jun 27th did not succeed. John told us that the road test would be postponed to July 11th, two weeks later because of the independence day's holiday. We asked him whether my wife had the priority to register a road test on July 11th because she was on the list of June 27th originally. John said yes. We also asked him when we would know whether my wife can take a road test on July 11th. He said usually by the Monday or Tuesday of that week. He told us that we need to pay the road test fee two weeks early before the test date. Based on the good communication with John, we decided to trust him again. We purchased a two-hour driving lesson before the road test on July 9th. These decisions were proved stupid later. On Jun 26th, two week before the road test on Jul 11th, we visited the office again and payed $120 fees for road test. On July 8th, when I called the office to confirm the next day's driving lesson, Mary (another lady in the office) answered the call and told me that the road test reservation failed and had to be postponed to July 25th, another two weeks later. What a poor school! After we met John, John apologized again, and refunded us the road test fee. We also cancelled two-hour lesson on July 9th. Basically, this was what happened between the school and us. Although we got the money back, we wasted a lot of time and efforts.

Jamie Devlin

I loved this driving school! They made me comfortable to learn and showed me the true dangers of the road. They taught life lessons as well as taught me important rules of the road, John is super nice! I'm so glad I was referred here by my friend Gisselle Ortiz

Tabi Dutra

Thank you John, you made me much more confident to take my test this morning with all the tips you gave. Price is awesome. If you want to get a license in a short time period, this school will be the way to go! Thank you for all the help, highly recommended. Thabata.

I signed my daughter up for this class. I do believe it was straight forward unfortunately the timing of class was not on point. 9-3 were scheduled with a lunch. I’d drop my daughter back at 12:15 and at 1 she’d be calling for a ride home. But, that is nothing compared to them not showing up for their scheduled drives. If I cancelled with less than 24 hours I would get charged $90 fee. Well this company should be paying me for 3 “no show, no call”. When I confronted John via phone he told me that he was uncertain of anything going on because he had just gotten out of the hospital. Come to find out that was not an honest answer. I emailed him expressing how unhappy I was he never responded. The day of road test which he will most likely book in Braintree he forgot all the paperwork and had to do an hour and half round trip to go get it! Again who and why am I paying?! Sadly bad news usually spreads like wild fire. I’d look into other options even if this place is convenient for you.

Augustina Nguyen

I don't live close to Boston Driver's Ed but they made it very affordable and convenient for me and it was worth it. John was great and the lessons plans definitely helped me get my requirements down fast.

Julian Sanchez

They are not responsible with the driven class they show up went they feel like they are cancelled the Boston DriverEd School very Inresponsable drivers class all the time they are canceled and some times they not even cancel or show up, is always something with them if I new that I don't bring my daughter to this driver school, and they always have the right, the costumer are wrong this's what the driver school owner told me, and beside that they left my daughter on the phone for more the 30 minutes waiting and the receptionist take off and other person answer the phone and told my daughter they already left. I am very disappointed with the service went you pay for your children and expect better service because you put your children and they hands.

Patrick Corbett

Very fun better than Belmont drivers ed

Jan G

Glad that I picked this driving school! All the instructors that I encountered were very patient and they gave me good tips. I managed to improve my driving a lot during the lessons, especially when I don't get much chance to practice on my own. I really appreciate the flexibility of this driving school. I had unforeseeable circumstances which made me have to make a lot of big changes of my lessons and road test. The process wasn't easy because I know that's a lot to ask for in a short time frame, but I am very happy that John and his team got everything worked out for me at the end. They surely have the students' best interest in mind. Other reviews here mentioned that John did not return calls. That happened to me too because John said he was teaching or driving while I called, so I always ask when is a good time to call the school - that works for me very well. I managed to book my lessons and schedule my road test through phone calls and the online system. Thank you again!

Pulluru Siva Reddy

I googled on various driving schools and finally selected Boston Driver Ed. I have very less previous experience outside US in the past. However with just 3 hrs package I passed the road test at first shot. Thanks to John. John and team are very professional and always helpful and patient enough. The way John teaches us with good tips, logical driving skills and coordination while at road test are fabulous. Tania and other at office are very polite and professional while arranging classes and providing any information. Thanks, john and team

Emily Meneer

I am a 30 year old first time driver that was nervous about finally learning to drive and taking my test. John was an incredibly patient, welcoming and kind instructor, who immediately put me at ease. He has a rare combination of both the technical and teaching skills to effectively train others, as well as the personality and empathy to make that training fun and relaxing. His parallel parking technique is also incredibly helpful! Knowing that I had his "seal of appproval" made me much more confident to take my test, which was significantly easier to arrange through him than on my own. I would wholeheartedly recommend John and Boston Driver's Ed to anyone.

Jazmine Rosario

Good school! Good teachers and I am really learning a lot here.

Miriam Morales Perez

I really enjoyed the classroom time and driving hours ! The people and staff were always great and very encouraging at all times.

Aaron Chen

They teach really good while being able to have fun.

Kristina Hristova

Very friendly and carrying stuff, my instructor Jose Nora was so nice and positive, made me feel more confident and less nervous and showed me the best technique for paralel parking and trust me it works every single time

Angelica Torres

They lack consistency and didn't help me at all to be ready for a road test. I had 4 different instructors and the road test person wasn't very nice. i was rushed in my test. I wouldn't recommend this school at all !!

Krishna Prasad

It was really worth it. I took a 2 hour session and on the same day went to the test and was not able to pass the test; as I got really nervous. Later I called up john and took the feedback about my driving during the test. The feedback and tips provided by john were really helpful and practiced it thoroughly and second time I passed the test. Thank you john. By Krishna Bandarupally

Mikey Chartier

My experience here was very good.

Maggie Saintilus

I actually really like this driving school. I’ve heard a lot of negatives, but I see nothing wrong with this place. It’s a comfortable warm environment of learning and a no-judgement zone. I’ve known how to drive for a while now, but coming here for lessons really helps to shine light on what they will be looking for on the test, and they gave me the tools to make me a better driver. I recommend this school to anyone who’s willing to learn.

Tai Johnson

Very cozy place. I would've paid double for the amount of carefully, and "by case" instruction I recieved. No egos, friendly staff that just want to see you on the road. My instructor Jose made the experience truly delight with his style of coaching and instructing.

Joaquin Dufeu Aguirre

This service is a scam. I paid for a driver test run, and after two weeks of several emails and calls, I haven't been able to contact them. I strongly recommend not using this service.

Liam Donahue

Had a 2hr lesson and took the test a few days later, instructors (mim/John) were awesome!

Maya Sanchez

In my honest opinion the driving school was unprofessional. I had quite a few classes with this school because I had chosen the largest package. Their way of handling payments are terrible! You have to make sure that you keep track of your own payment if you don't pay in full. A few instructors are good but a lot are horrible!! One instructor parked me in front of his house for 20 min in the middle of my lesson. Another instructor made me drive on the highway for 1 hour and 30 min while HE SLEPT the whole time (I had little experience driving then). Plus when he first picked me up he kept "reminding" me that he doesn't like coming to Dorchester and the school scheduled him too far. When you call the office the girl who picks up the phone is rude. I had to pay for an extra road test that the school told me was resheduled but wasn't. I regret getting involved with this driving school. I gladly left and went to another driving school that was much better.

dhruv bagai

I took my road test with John and he's an awesome instructor. I took a 1.5 hours lesson right before my road test and it was enough for me to pass it. (Mind you, I had driven before so 1.5 hours lesson was basically to get me used to the roads and learn Parallel parking, 3 point turn and hand signals. So please if you haven't driven before take more than 2 hours lesson). Overall my experience with them was good and will definitely recommend them.

Frederick Madsen

I had an amazing time here learning how to drive meeting new people and making John mad at me bc I made him order cheese sticks! Thank you very much -love Frederick

Alex Arteaga

Great place to learn how to drive, if it was possible I would give more stars

Ergin Sevinc

I took 10 hours driving lessons from Driver's Ed. I was nearly grand zero and I am 35 years old. Plus I arrived United States in Sep 2016. So eveything was foreign to me. My main instructor was Dereque. He was really great: very patient, explanatory and respectful. He explained my every mistake during lessons and give me very good advices how to fix my mistakes. In the Driver's Ed office, Lisa was very helpfull and kind. I didn't met John until road test. In road test he give me (and all people with us) great last minute advices. As a result I passed my road test on my first try. I appreciate their support and definitely they are really great on this job.

Jahvarey B. Osborne

Great Driving School Customer Service Is Great The School Strategy For Parallel Parking Is The Easy The Road Test Was Scheduled The Following Saturday And Past the First Time Because of The Awesome Driving Lesson School $575.00 which is wicked cheap compared to other schools and $90.00 For A Sponsorship From The School if You Want to Learn To Drive I recommend choosing Boston Driving School

Nani Salazar

i love this driving school! i’ve had a fun and helpful experience. if it wasn’t for my sister jai i wouldn’t have came here.

Susmita Surwade

Great instructors especially John. Give you very helpful tips for manuevers. Very good tip for parallel parking. I would definately recommend them..

Melissa Smith

They have tons of customers and can't keep up with emails. They never responded to my email. They rarely answer the phones. Worst customer service. I had at least two friends who did not pass the test with them and ended up passing it with another driving school in Waltham.

Olivia Lipoma

Very fun school kept us entertained

Shuo Jiang

John and the rest of the team are very friendly and helpful people. After moving from the UK to Boston, I needed a license ASAP without the 3 month DMV wait so I booked in for the "2 hours + Road Test" package. They were able to allocate me a slot within 3 weeks and provide me with all the necessary details, both driving and paperwork, for the test. Highly Recommended!!!

c guibert

A really good class Very helpful for teens

Sydney Giugno

Boston Drivers Ed makes the class fun, witch videos to keep you entertained. Everyone is really nice and helps you as much as possible to get your permit or license!!

Kirsty Bennett

I took a lessons with John before I took my US road test. I learned to drive in the UK but never got my license, so I hadn't driven for 5 years. I was very nervous, but he was very friendly and patient. He broke down parallel parking so I could understand it, and we did several mock road tests which was really helpful. John also encouraged me to drive like I would have to after the test - try to remember directions without someone next to me telling me where to go, pull in to park, and so on, so I actually feel confident to drive now I have my license. I passed first time.

J Jarvis

Huge waste of time and money. Incredibly unprofessional, you practically have to hunt them down for a response. Had to go in person multiple times just to set up basic appointments and sort out everything else they messed up. John is a joke, has no idea what he’s doing, and runs a horrible business. Just absolutely terrible, find a different school.

Tamires Ribeiro

I enjoyed my time here!! Loved the teachers and would highly recommend to anyone

Nhi Truong

Passed my road test today on second try. John is a very knowledgeable, kind and fun teacher. He has an excellent parallel parking technique that works on almost all tries. Lisa, the secretary, is very great and accommodating too. Due to their popularity as a school, it is quite hard to schedule lessons last minute so if you want to take a few lessons to prepare for your road test, schedule them early.

Anand Subramaniam

The instructors are really good and friendly but getting a schedule with these guys is very difficult. if you have a month's time and can have your sessions on weekdays, you can get a slot. Special thanks to Jose for teaching the parallel parking in an easier way. Definitely addressing the customer call needs to be improved.

Oliver Yo

Great experience, glad I chose this place to do driver's ed

kartik sharma

John helped me with scheduling and preparing for the Saturday road test, he's an amazing instructor. The 2 hour lesson with him was instrumental in passing the test, the actual test was just the way he described and the parallel parking technique was simple & effective. I already had some driving experience in my home country, but the lesson with John really helped me gain confidence to clear the test. Thank you for all the help, highly recommended.

T Ka

The entire process of using the service has been fantastic! It was easy to book. The appointments were the fastest out of any other driving schools. The people on the phone were very friendly! Our instructor was brilliant - very patient, lots of hints/ tips.. I highly recommend!!!

Sienna HE

Be careful when you choose this school. Be prepared to fail several times so that they can earn more money. If they put you in Dorchester for road test, that's fine. But if they put you in Watertown, you are definitely screwed up because the white guy that OT for this school's road test (not the regular RMV road test schedule)is nothing but a piece of rubbish. He will not let you pass even if you drive perfectly so that he can earn more money. God knows if they share.

Jon Travers

I did a 2h lesson and Saturday road test, for converting my UK licence. Everything was super easy to arrange - they were very accommodating and I had my licence within two weeks of walking in the door (after written test and prepaying the test and licence at the RMV). The preparation for the Road test was perfect. John expertly ironed out all the things that might lead to failing and practiced all the manoeuvres necessary until I had them 99% down. The Saturday test was very smoothly organised - I got there at 7.30 and was on my way home at 8.30, very relieved to have passed, but not surprised after the excellent preparation. There were leaners and other converters there for the test with John that morning, and they all passed as well. I even feel like a much better driver after the experience, despite having already been driving for 20 years. I wouldn't hesitate for a second about recommending Boston Drivers Ed.

Iryna Stauskaya

If I could give Boston Driver's Ed 10 stars, I would without any hesitation. I had absolutely amazing experience with this driving school. John Baez is the best instructor anyone can only ask for. He is very knowledgeable and patient, insightful and kind. From lesson #1 he put me at ease and made the whole learning process very interesting, informative and effective. It was also very easy to arrange my Road Test through his office - special thanks to Tania who was professional and helpful. To sum it up, I would highly recommend Boston Driver's ED to everyone who is looking for a good driving school.

Nicha Puvanich

I took 2 hours road test lesson and pass the test in the first time!

Alex Benea

This is a great place to learn how to drive and remain engaged!!! The classes provide you with with good info.

Marlise Jean-Pierre

I'm an adult learner so I wanted to learn how to drive well and have a good teacher who would teach me how to drive safely. I chose Boston Driver's ed because it liked that John was a former cop and that really appealed to me. Once I started my lessons with him, I realized that I made the right choice. He is always on time, ready to teach and extremely patient. I feel like I am learning great driving habits for life. He has helped me overcome some of my fears of driving. He is also a fantastic teacher. Thanks John!!!!

I received 6 hours of private driving instruction from Boston Driver's Ed from my husband as my wedding gift on our wedding day! Background about me: I'm in my late twenties, got my license when I was a teenager, but I went to college in NYC shortly after getting my license, and never really had the need to drive around. I also have always had some anxiety with driving, and to be honest didn't deserve to get my license when I did (I didn't practice enough, took my driving exam when I was 17 on Christmas Eve in New Jersy and the examiner just gave it to me even though he said I wasn't ready, as a Christmas gift... big mistake) so I've generally avoided driving ever since. One of my last driving experiences was getting rear ended, so in short - I needed some emotional support when facing the wheel again, and I was interested in regaining the confidence and assertiveness that comes from driving. I am also studying to be a physician so I really needed to get comfortable with driving! Luckily - Boston Driver's Ed was the perfect choice for me as an adult learner with anxiety to feel comfortable behind the wheel again. I took my 6 hours of private instruction with John. John is kind, patient, calm, grounded experienced, very knowledgeable, and most importantly - a great teacher. In my opinion a great teacher is someone who meets the student where they are, and supports them along the way. He tailored his teaching style to my individuality and my specific needs. With John, I wasn't just student X being taught the same way every student is taught, but I felt that he made the effort to communicate with me in a way that I understood and was extremely observant and supportive in his interactions with me. He also assured me I wasn't alone in my journey (apparently "went to college in NYC" is a common condition amongst anxious drivers!). Not only is John a great teacher, but he's also a great person. He is a family man who started this business on his own. I always love to support small companies and kind people. He's softhearted, sensitive, and remembered me from lesson to lesson and was always extremely kind yet always very professional. I think a lot of people take the skill of driving for granted. From my lessons, John jumpstarted a greater sense of confidence and independence in my life. I now have an association of a feeling of calmness when I think of driving and at the end of my last lesson, John told me he thinks that I'm ready to drive on my own, but it was up to me to decide when I truly felt comfortable. I thank John and Boston Driving School for this and wish them the best in their future business endeavors.

This was an amazing experience. As an adult driver and very anxious about being on the road, John was the best teacher I could have asked for. I read a lot of reviews before going with this school and I'm so glad I chose this one. The parallel parking video was the clincher for me. John was so calm and patient. The very first question he asked when I got in the car was, what are you most nervous about? He asked questions to better understand and assuage my fears. I can't tell you what that meant to me. He walked me through every move before I did it. He observed closely and tweaked my maneuvers when they were off. The repetition was incredibly helpful. As were the bits no one else had thought to mention, like where to keep my eye level when driving. Made all the difference in the world. In reviews of other schools there seemed to be a lot of complaints about instructors yelling and shaming students. I got none of this from John. He always gently called my attention to mistakes, answered all my questions and clarified what I didn't understand. He was extremely dedicated and noticed from week to week how I had improved. I passed my test on the first try and received a big smile and a handshake from John. Honestly felt like he was genuinely happy and proud of me. The examiner in Braintree was fantastic as well. Mim did wonders setting me at ease. Nerves are always high when taking a test but she was as kind and relaxed as could be. It made a huge difference. I would absolutely recommend this school.

My experience went really well!

Sukaina Attar

One of the best driving schools, it’s a fun environment:)

Stephen Chase

The most chill place of all time. Best school

Muriel Dol

The teachers are hilarious and the class is not only educational but very entertaining. The price is also very affordable.

Thomas Devlin

I love this driving school. When I first came John and Jose were very welcoming with our class. They taught our class everything valuable and in a fun way. This is the best drivers ed class in Massachusetts.

Mollie Miller

Shockingly unprofessional! The students were given the written answers to the final review test before they took it so magically everyone in the class got 100%. As to the driving lessons, numerous times I dropped my son off for his lesson and no one would be there or the instructor would show up one and a half hours late (out of a two hour session) or they'd have cancelled the lesson hours before. One instructor slept through twenty minutes of the lesson, while my son was driving! And don't even think about paying them the extra $90 to escort your kid through the driving test. We were told to be at the RMV at 2:00, we got there 1/2 hour early and my son wasn't given his test until 3:45 (the Boston Driving School guy told me it would be a half hour to 45 min wait). WAY faster to go to the RMV yourself. I have 3 kids and this is our third Boston area driving school and the experience can only be described as a joke. Avoid at all costs.

Lochie Ferrier

Really good office staff, they were friendly with working out some registration issues for me. Also, the instructors are usually funny guys, and the test was super relaxed. After trying the alternatives, I would recommend this school over others!

Jun Ma

Very disappointed!! Same problem as mentioned in other 1 star review! I should have searched on Yelp first. After my first phone call, I purchased the road test sponsorship+2hr driving lesson package and additional 2 hr driving lesson through website as John told me to. He told me that he need to use the confirmation number to schedule my lessons. He also said he would email me the schedule by email after my purchase. However, I still have not received any email yet. On the second day, I called him again and he told me he was driving and would call me back in 10-15 mins. I waited for hours and I called him again and he didn't answer my call. I sent email again and never got any responses. I called many times today and not a single call was answered.

Samrat Ghosh

John, you’re a rock star! He is knowledgeable, patient, understanding, insightful and most importantly, a lot of fun! Trust me, when you’re trying to learn a skill as layered as driving, you want your instructor to have all of those - you want John. I’m thankful for the experience I had learning driving with him. To give you a hint of his expertise, he taught me a simple technique of eye level which helped my driving get better in a matter of minutes which I was struggling with for weeks. In addition to this, is his exemplary clarity and commitment. Lastly, his team (and everyone I interacted at the school) is helpful and nice. I highly recommend this driving school (and of course John).

Zin Ch

, Everybody was nice, supportive and accommodating throughout the whole thing, and try to make you laugh so you're not too Nervous. I finally passed and so grateful to Lisa and John for all their help and support.

Phil C

boston driver's ed is by far the best driving school in the boston area. they're the only school with an easy to use website and their brand new online booking is easy to use. john is very nice and funny and knows exactly what he's doing. all the driving instructors are friendly and experienced. i had a very good experience here and would highly recommend it to anyone.

James Giugno

They make it fun to learn how to get your license. All of the instructors are really nice and it's a great deal.

devon simon

One of the best driving school in Boston they really work with you to achieve your goal.

Jarred Williams

This was a great experience with lots of valuable knowledge, great teachers, and an overall great time.

janiah marrero

I had a great time here!! Our teacher was great he made learning fun and easy.. I recommend this school before others for sure best staff and price!

Megan Mullaney

Great school and very entertaining and fun

P Tocco

Is was easy to get information before we paid, but after they got our money it was all down hill. The online schedule didn't work for us, which we had to pay extra to use, from June until the end of October. We emailed, called and went there in person and no one would fix it for almost 5 moths and it took less than a minute when he finally fixed it. Couldn't get a lesson from the end of June until the end of October because of lack of cooperation on their part. The scheduling of the drivers test was a nightmare too, they schedule everyone at the same exact time. You either have to go early and wait a couple of hours or go on time and wait hours. Very poorly run business and they do not respect your time.

Shahriar Mirzadeh

All instructors of this driving school are very friendly and they teach you how to parallel park your car with easy technique. Road test sponsorship by this driving school is also very convenient and cheaper than other places. Besides John who owns the driving school has 90% passing rate which is very impressive! I recommend this driving school to everyone who lives in the area.

David Max

Do not believe count of good reviews! Their service is horrible! While driving what you will do is: pick other student and go ur home! They must return my $53 back , they are saying they did already class, i have a prove and each time we have signed. I am trying to call and email to John, he is now ignoring me! I tried use google sms contact right a way called back! And realized that is me! Saying sorry! We said to re-schedule to road test. 2 days left now saying we forgot! Another thing is if you say that hey school car is so dirty or smells bad, or any complain about driver they will send craziest one so you will have to close your eyes for first one. John I have all in my email and sms screenshots if you need them I will send you. Just kindly return my $53 with nice way! I don’t know why Google review is 4.4 , I have to contact to them regarding this

Jeanne Batoon

this driving school is very efficient and welcoming, i recommend it :)

Boqing Zheng

This driving school is the best! Boqing Zheng

June Kim

John did an amazing job at preparing the class for the final exam at the end of the week. There were plenty of breaks throughout the day and the staff kept the class entertained with still managing to teach the class.

Violetta Zharov

I've tried a couple of other schools in Boston and in my opinion, this the only school you want to call if you don't have time and money to waste. John (the owner) is incredibly passionate about and skillful at teaching...his staff reflects this. And as a bonus, he makes it fun! I truly enjoyed my experience and hope you will too.

Who Even Uses Google Plus

Paid for 10 hours of driving. After two, the instructor said that he would call me to set up the dates for the rest. I never received any call and left several messages with the school over the next two weeks. They never got back to me, not even when I declined the charge on my credit card after I decided that enough was enough.

Deepika Thakur

Very very unprofessional and bad experience today with John. I spent an awful lot of time looking for him (he parked at a different spot the the address I had given to the lady on the phone). I called him but he had switched his phone off! I kept asking random people in cars in the parking lot if they were John! Wasted my early morning getting drenched in the rain, looking for him and calling him till I gave up and realized he must have driven off! I have called his office and cell since then to return my money but it is going to an answering machine! He is running a fraud businesses - do NOT get extorted by him!

Slim EST.97

Scheduled my road test a whole month in advance called off work on a SATURDAY too and I call in a week before and they tell me the road test was never scheduled because the picture of my permit didn't come up but I had talked to the guy THREE TIMES plus a email before that and he said everything was fine it's crazy they could've called saying they didn't get it smh

Rishi Caban

This driving school is the best! And the price? WOWWEEEE

Ashley Lopez

Boston drivers ed can only be described as amazing, The classroom sizes are small and you learn so much in the 5 days, will definitely be recommending all of my friends to come here

蔡沛勳

I recommend everyone around the area that is considering to go to a drivers ed school to come to this one. 30 hours of class is boring, however in this school not only will you enjoy your learning you will also meet a lot of great people. The lessons are taught clearly, but the process of learning will definitely not bored you out. Boston Drivers Ed school is worth your money, come join before the lessons are all booked.

Alex Tan

WORST driving school ever! Nobody picks up the phone or replies messages. I live in Waltham and had to go to Braintree to take the road test. I paid like 150 for the sponsorship and failed the first time. They still didn't make another appointment for the road test. Appointment is slow and there was a 5 hours wait for the road test! My friend got his licence in 2 weeks. I really want to license so I decided to go to another driving school. STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

Nick Chantre

Great program with quality instructors, and valuable time. Focusing solely on our safety at all times and providing us with a proper drivers education.

Lan Ngo

The service wasn't perfect but overall it was great. The instructors were helpful for the most part. Price is awesome and JOHN IS THE BEST!

Lola Kempton

John and Alex are amazing and so funny. The teachers really care about the students and give them the all information they need to succeed. Classes were fun everyday

Erin L

Great class, learned a lot to help with driving.

Kais Iriani

If looking for a company to do your road test, never use this one! This company will rip you off. They will tell you they would organize your road test the next day, but will come back and say it has been cancelled by the RMV. It took me 3 months until they finally were able to organize the road test. Never trust them, they have poor customer service and will never commit to their word. They organized a road test, failed to inform me and I lost $35 because of that. If you complain, forget it, they will never listen to you. Other friends had similar experiences. for $125 you get a 10 minute ride in their car... that is all....

Fangfang Tang

I signed up for a "2hr mock test+road test sponsorship" program at Boston Drivers' Education. The instructors are very knowledgeable about the test process and exam details. I didn't have any license before but I felt well prepared after the mock test. I finally took my first road test in Dorchester and passed the test at the first time. This is the driving school I would recommend!

Ankita Shankhdhar

The teachers here are amazing! From parallel parking to providing you with the confidence to pass your road test, they do everything. I learned at another school plus took the test twice with them and failed both times. But it took me just one two hour lesson with these guys to pass the test. John and his team are great!

Michael Echavarria

If you got problems they would fix them quick. He is a hands on boss.

Brooke DeLorey

I have learned so much at this driving school and it was awesome!! Thank you so much BDE!

Jason Santos, Jr.

This is the best school to learn how to drive. They cover everything, not just what you will see not the test

Matthew Banik

Just watched one of their cars almost crash into 4 cars merging onto 95S in Needham.

Janice Mckinney

The best driving school ever !!! i defiantly recommend this driving school to everyone if your having a hard time deciding where to go you can stop looking now because you found the correct place to go and thats boston drivers ed!! Everyone in this school is sooo nice they helped me sooo much so I can get my license and I passed my test today I am extremely thankful !

Jackie Ramos

Great driving school it also comes with a puerto rican santa!

emily tran

Boston Driver's Ed is the place to go if you like a fun, energetic, and calm driving environment!!!!! I have a fear of driving since I've been in multiple accidents, but John helped me break that FEAR! Lisa is a joy with her patience in answering all my repetitive questions. I almost forgot, she will try her best to book driving lessons and road test (p.s bring her chocolate and pineapple fanta) When you call the office keeps your finger cross that John does not answer the phone, because he will just hand it over to the accountant :) Also, this is the CHEAPEST driving school is Boston!!!!!

Brian Griffin

I paid for my brother's driving lessons and I have no complaints at all regarding the professionalism of the instructors or the upkeep of the vehicles. For the lessons side of things: 5/5

Kayla Clements

Great class, very fun, learned alot. Would recommend

刘阿锦

no one will ever pick up your phone call and no one will ever call you back when they make a promise to call you back. The only thing you do for the class is picking up another student and driving yourself back to your home. Really learned nothing. VERY ANNOYING!!!! NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!!!

Leah A

Absolutely amazing.... both my sons went there. I could not ask for more. They even pick the kids up at at school and drive them home as a part of the driving and observing hours needed. A+++

Mehdi Zidar

A driving school like no other. Direct straight forward teaching. No boring video, and very understanding.

Olivia Sorensen

I had a great experience! John and Alex were great, highly recommend.

Olivia Karaguezian

This week went by so fast. The environment was very friendly and I enjoyed my week with Mr. Murad and new friends!

Caitlyn DeSimone

It was a very fun class. I learned so much it was a very helpful class. I liked it a lot

Teresa Lai

Never trust this school. Tried to schedule a two hour package with Saturday Road test with them, but the first lady said that the person responsible was on leave and asked me to call two days later. When I called back two days later, they were like not having any records, and only after painfully insisting that they said they could schedule it 2 weeks later. Two weeks passed, seeing the review by others about this school, I called on the day which they scheduled the two-hour class just to confirm the appointment, and John told me that nothing was scheduled on the day, not even the road test. Lots of excuses, when talking to John, he claimed that the examiner had personal issues therefore the test was cancelled! Believing such "reason" should be at the reader's discretion. Then John became impatient quickly, and rudely asked for the transaction information without even explaining a thing, then again rudely said will do a refund in the coming few days. Waste of time and money, and who knows if they really will refund or just lost their memory again! Update: Soon after I posted this review, I received a text saying: "Reviews should be truthful. Remember... Some ppl have your personal information =)" Should I perceive this as a threat? Let the reader judge. Update 2, in reply to John, It was John, in the second conversation in the morning, who did not ask a question other than asking for my credit card transaction date, and then jumped to say a refund without any chance of discussing other options, and cynically saying "this is better for both you and me". In this respect, I am afraid you have already breached the trust between you and your customer. Reasons or excuses, it is not for me to judge. People do need to make a lot of arrangements to suit the appointment times, and people do not revolve around the school. Please note that the poor review is not just for this conversation, but also the previous booking procedures. You have not addressed the previous booking errors by your colleagues, which had been equally disappointing to anyone in such situation. Having many five star reviews does not dismiss the experience of those who had such a bad experience from your school, which you can see from the one star comments, which I am definitely not the first one. The way how your respond to this comment equally reflects your attitude towards customer service. Doing business is not just about the driving hours; and the text message threat is equally disturbing. The trust is already breached, and not even an apology from this mess, and the way the situation was handled was really disappointing, leaving no other possible expectations except a refund.

Alivia Hall

I just passed my test today after only 10 hours with John! He is an AMAZING teacher. I had many bad experiences with other driving schools in Boston and it wasn't until I had lessons with John that I felt like I was actually learning and getting more and more confident. John is patient, extremely knowledgable and encouraging.. he is also very funny, which makes lessons enjoyable! I HIGHLY reccommend him to anyone. If you are looking for high quality, professional and comfortable driving lessons... John is definitely the guy!

Noelia Vega Morales

Would totally recommend! A great price and so helpful!! Very entertaining while at the same time very useful for learning! Staff is nice and funny!
