I want to let people know that this company has a lousy anti-customer attitude and an aggressive, blame placing, inane policy waving, ignorant staff that has no business dealing with people. My wife, who is new to driving and a non native English speaker was put through the ringer by these people over 30 stupid dollars. The instructor told us that she would cancel the remaining lessons until my wife had more practice driving. I also spoke with this instructor on the phone and she said the same thing, namely to call back and reschedule the remaining classes after we put in more driving hours and my wife became more comfortable. This instructor also conveyed the same message to the office.
The office insisted that they must have verbal confirmation from my wife and called her from a different phone number to demand as much. She ignored the strange number, like everyone does and rather than cancelling the class as we were led to believe by the instructor they then called from the recognized number to confirm the class that we both thought was cancelled. When we tried to correct them, they insisted that she be ready to drive or have to pay a $30 cancellation fee not once but actually twice for the 2 classes on Saturday and Sunday we has been led to believe were cancelled by the instructor.
I then called and was harassed by a foreign woman who would not let me get a word in, demanding that we abide by company policy and pay these fees. She spend 15 minutes doing nothing but blaming me and my wife for this rather than simply recognizing what happened and yielding to common sense. She refused to let me speak to a superior at first, but eventually did. Sadly her superior, or pier, or whatever gave the same response until ultimately yielding.
What the heck is wrong with these people if they put a stupid penalty fee that goes to their employer above honest customer service? Why would a small business allow for such lousy treatment of their customers over something so petty? Do not give this school your business because they cannot run an organization that treats people with respect.
