Disclaimer: I did not attend this school. I got stuck behind an Adam's Driving School car on Dempster this morning during rush hour going 23 mph in the LEFT most lane on a three lane road in a zone clearly marked 30, for miles before I turned off. This was an instructor, going 7 mph BELOW the posted limit in a LEFT LANE!! There is a difference between a safe driver and a problematic one.

Mr. Raffa is realy gud. he taut me how not to krash and. gaved FREE candy i not liek candy but he stil gud. thank you sir ur lectur very gud sir u R best sir and thank you sir..

John Raffa is the best drivers ed teacher. He makes class fun as well as informational and has already taught me so much about driving. He is funny and cares about each student. Adams is a great driving school - I'd definitely recommend it!!!!

To whom it may concern, My time at Adams Driving School was inadequate. My instructor was not held accountable for their actions towards a student with special needs. The instructor enabled other students in the class to bully a child with special needs. This behavior is unforgivable and unprofessional. As an adult, they should know better then to allow this type of an environment for a classroom setting. The use of language should be more encouraging then degrading. The use of aggression towards a person verbally should not be acceptable in any type of setting. Please take this rating into consideration before allowing your child to take their lessons at this driving school. Both of my kids learned to drive through Adams. The service was exceptional, the instructors were patient and professional, and just plain great in the classroom and on the road one on one.

Everytime I tried to schedule driving time with an instructor, we would have to wait a month. Several times, the instructor would not show and claim he didn't realize they had something scheduled. They should make sure they have enough instructors before offering the service. This whole process has been frustrating and really unacceptable.

Sent my teenage daughter to this driving school. I originally thought they would be the ideal school as they have been around for quite a while. I surely was wrong. The classroom setting was mediocre and didn’t really set any high standards. The real problem was the on road driving lessons. The teacher assigned to my daughter wasn’t a good teacher. He belittled her driving on her first lesson. He told her “what are you doing! You should have learned this in class!” This was after she made a mistake in one of her turns. I understand teenagers make mistakes, but aren’t you guys suppose to teach instead of making the students scared? Also my daughter had to change an appointment and she was charged a fee for that. It was definitely an error on my part as she had a doc appointment and we gave a last minute notice. But the instructor canceled one of her final appointments and offered no sorry or replacement time. We had to call a week later to get belittled by the operator. This school is full of problems. Stay away.

Such a horrible school and It’s like they charge you for air too. I prefer any other school. The instructor is not how you expect him to be.

All three of our children completed the class at the Northbrook location. We chose Adams for our first child due to the times working out with our schedule. Once he completed the class and did his first lesson, we knew we would be returning to the same place with our other two kids. We are happy to have found Adams and SO happy to have found John Raffa. He made all three of our children extremely comfortable behind the wheel from the first minute in the car. Our first child needed more driving support and would only agree to driving with John Raffa to get through his fear. I would recommend going to Adams!

There is no skimping at Adams. I went there after finding out that they had taught most of the famous people on Chicago, but I more impressed by the amazing teacher I had who was super paient and made me understand about safety (my parents were happy).

john raffa is the best teacher in driving history! he truly cares a lot for his students and there safety while driving. he has his students take notes each class. he is goofy and makes learning fun. truly could not ask for a better teacher to teach me how to drive! he is amazing!

adams driving school is very enjoyable and i am glad that i chose adams to teach me how to drive. mr.raffa made my class enjoyable and i didn't dread going to drivers ed class because of how my teacher made it fun to learn about the rules of the road. i recommend going to adams driving school
