Bailey Sims

If you’re looking to get a CDL dalys is the place to go!

aria x

If you want to get a CDL, do not use this racist school or liar school Training is not good Old trucks Manager and rude office department After the end of classes, if you do not accept the first exam, the next call time will be very long and you forget everything. They will lie with your money and give you first warranty, but they will forget you by the end of classes. All those who put 5 stars did not have a majority at this school and buy this star to keep their level high on Google .

Stephanie Almendarez

I totally recommend it!

Gabriel

Great school, dedicated instructors that are more than willing to go the extra mile to make sure you know everything required to obtain and maintain a safe truck driving career.

John Dione

Excellent School I give this school 5 stars. I really like the instructors and how the office staff was always nice to my needs.

I graduated from here and if you want to learn how to drive a semi truck and get you're CDL this is the place. No computer simulators and tough love , the two weeks in the yard is a bit grueling but well worth it ! 45 hours a week , and pay lots of attention, it's worth it!

Pack Alfa 84

Excellent school! I would recommend it to all my friends and family. Very friendly environment.

bluefoxxXx

Two stars because I did get my CDL despite the most ridiculous bunch of staff and teachers. Not all teachers just escaped the backwoods insane asylum, but at least three of them need to be readmitted. The lady in the payment office was barely weaned off her racist milk and needs a tall heaping of multiracial world marbled cake. For Pete's sake come out of the 50's, take a diversity class and join us in the 21st century. The father? Mr. Daly seemed to be a true gentleman. His son might be pulling the wool over his eyes? Crazy but lucky to be done with this mess.

James Thomas

Daly's was great. The trainers were cool and helpful.

Peter Applebee

I made a huge mistake by contracting on with a Company CR England what a rip off that was. I found Daly's after I spent 3 weeks at England before being told to leave because I was having trouble with alley docking. Daly's program was quick and efficient and the number of people competing for instructors attention was much less. They have easily 2 time as many instructors and equipment to train with. Passed the CDL and went to work locally so I don't have to go over the road at all. Daly's didn't force me to work with anyone they allowed me to choose the best company for me. Everyone else said local was not an option. Everyone else lies. Call these guys I promise you will be happy with the results.

BUD Galliano

If you don’t have $4595 don’t do it ! It’s $1500 down payment just to start ! Smh Probably the highest school in GA . They have other schools who are cheaper and have lower payment plans. Just a heads up !

Kevin Williams

Great place to get my CDL worth my money.

tyler Ponsic

I had a great expirience at Dally's i highly recommend

Kenny Cain

I urge all who have gone to this school to double check that they are not over charging you. I questioned the balance owed and received an email stating your balance is the balance without any explanation. Both office personal Stephanie and Kathy lack proper business etiquette and and are running Daly’s like a run down mom and pop shop. Reflecting back to my experience with Daly’s the only good thing going for them is that you can be in and out in about 3 weeks. Other than that equipment is trash. Trainers are decent but they don’t teach real world scenarios. The methods they teach you aren’t practical for passing the DDS test nor becoming a driver in the real world. YOU WILL RELEARN ONCE YOU LEAVE DALYS. I gave 2 stars because at the end of the day I can’t knock the fact that they can get you up and running in about 3 weeks but other than that this company is subpar at best.

Karen Velez

Very dedicated and efficient staff. I will recommend this school to everyone that is interested in obtaining their cdl license. Best experience I've had!

Sven T'kon

Great Customer service helped me get my CDL in no time.

Please, avoid Daly’s at all costs and go to literally ANY other trucking school because I guarantee it will be a better experience. My boyfriend finished their 3 week program having learned virtually nothing. If you do go to Daly’s you should plan on failing the DDS test between 3-7 times (as is average for a Daly’s student). And when you do fail, you will not get in to re take the test for at least a month to 6 weeks between each attempt. While you are waiting to take the test again you will receive no extra practice or help to better your chances the next time around. In fact, you are forbidden to even call the school while you wait. They do not care AT ALL about whether their students pass or fail. All they want is your money. But we had to spend an additional $1000+ on top of the Daly’s tuition to go to a different school for additional training and take the test third party (Piedmont Technical was a life saver! ). Daly’s lies about how many hours behind the wheel you will get (he got maybe 2 hours in the entire 3 weeks). Their trucks are always breaking down so they have limited trucks for their over sized classes to use (hence the no behind the wheel time). They train you on different trucks than what you will test on and they do not teach real-world techniques for backing maneuvers (only overly simplistic “stop points” that only work on their trucks.) And to top it all off, many of the instructors are out right rude and demeaning to their students. I could go on and on with countless reasons as to why you should avoid this school at all costs but I will stop there and hope that you heed my warning.

Brian Bennett

Run like its the plaque. Use Lanier Tech school. Horrible costumer service. Even worse management. Do not leave a deposit unless you are sure that you can make the class. They are so anxious to make money they will steal your deposit, even in an emergency. I tried to discuss rationally with Liza Mendez and she kept hanging up on me, like a child.

Dr Crash78

Terrible school. Hope you pass your DDS exam on the first try because good luck hearing about a reschedule. Pro tip: You don't train in the trucks you test in. You get a 20 minute drive a day or two before the end of the class. Also, they spend 3 weeks telling you their yard lanes are the exact size of the DDS lanes. Good luck with that.

Maria Romero

Love this school. Good Trainers. Great instructors.

Sarah Cochran

Class was great, people were great, until I messed up on one thing so I failed the test... which wouldn’t be a big deal either except here I am 3 months later still haven’t been able to retake the test. Every time I call to ask it’s “we’ll call you in a week or so”. My money was expected up front and in full but I can’t even retake the test in a reasonable amount of time? I paid extra and drove an hour and half one way every day just for this school. A year and a half later... they still won’t give me a date to retake my test.

jesus mercedes

While I was training none of my time was wasted. I got all the attention and help I needed from my instructors. I had a great and fun learning experience while I was out there. They prepared me for my test thoroughly and I passed everything my first time.

ana mendez

Really bad school. They just want your money. If you fall the exam they tell you that you have to pass it by your sell then called them TO SEE WHEN THEY HAVE SPACE FOR YOU. they just want your money. Bad school! Not worth it.

Billy Pickens

I really looked hard into this before choosing a school. I have a young family so I really was not excited about working for a company that involved being gone from home all the time. I wanted to have all my options without any hard fast commitments. Every school I talked to including Daly's told me most people go over the road for the money. Daly's was the only one who had local jobs available right out of school. I did not have to go the work over the road I was able to go to work driving a class A vehicle for a Ernst Concrete. I had to pick from 4 different Concrete mixers to work for. This was the right solution for me and my family. Best of all no 1 or 2 year contract what a joke! You do have options make sure you at least call and talk to these guys they are straight shooters and the training program was spot on for me and everyone in my class we all did very well testing and everyone is working most in class A local jobs not OTR!

emna martinez

Thank you to the staff and instructor, best school ever. Good training hours.

GREAT STAFF

I attend this school in Nov. of 2013, it was great. I suggest that you prep yourself before taking the class. Watch you tube videos about maneuvers and the trucking life. Thanks again for the white hat.

Becky Smith

I had a great experience at dalys. I recommend to everyone.

Liz GSU

Wonderful staff honestly and a great experience.

Shannon Imes

its a great school. Stephanie helped me through a lot. The bad reviews do not even make a lot of sense. (for example Sarah c you're always posting the same thing over and over. When I paid for sons school I saw your review, now i see it again get over it!) I had 3 of my sons get their cdl license here. They're always booked for a reason. Please don't bash the school just because it didn't work for you.

Michael Davidson

Yaki G

I had a great experience, I would recommend this place for anyone that wants their CDL! Karen was very helpful

Brandon Turner

I would like to thank God first . What a journey, This is a good school and thanks to Rick, Collins, and Mike these guys pushed me to do better. At first I wanted to give up Rick advice me to stay . I couldn't back to save air in my lungs Collins taught me how to straight back 101 and Mike made training fun and encouraged me through out. All three Signed my hat and now I am blessed and humble to have a great career for the rest of my life

Daly's is Excellent school, thank you for so patient and work with me, a special thank's to, David, Jefferson, James, Collin, and Rick, I pass my CDL today at Grainville DDS as of 06/20/2018

jonathan matus

Everything was better than expected. I walked in knowing nothing and due to this school I walked out ready to drive. Thank you to all of Daly's staff for your patience end uplifting attitudes.

Melissa Rush

My husband went through Daly's to get his CDL and we were disappointed. The first week of class is all book work for your learners permit and is pretty much all self-study, very little instruction. That week was a waste of money to me as he could studied for the test by himself. He only got in the truck twice on their first day on the yard and some days he only got in the truck once. He only got to drive the truck 3 times (about 30 mins each time) on the road in the whole 3 weeks. There were too many students per class (about 15) for the equipment. This is NOT a class for beginners. You must know a lot about manual transmissions and shifting. Daly's would not tell us the appointment time for the DDS drivers test, so we waited around all day from 7 until 2:30 before he started. Not sure what other schools are like, but this would not be our first pick again. The sales people told us 85% pass their first time but the instructor said it was closer to 30-40% and they make you pay an extra $50 to Daly's every time you have to return. Daly's teaches you how to pass the Daly's test during school but then give you a different truck on the day of the DDS test and have to kind of retrain you on the fly. While my husband passed his test the first try, everyone else failed that day. To be fair, several didnt pass the pre-trip inspection which is pure memorization and on them, not the school. You will rightfully have to study hard for the learners test and pre-trip, but I think the school could have done a lot more for the driving. The instructors were kind & encouraging people with lots of knowledge, but the school really needs fewer students per class, and the students need more time in the trucks.

Rose Mackie

The only reason I don't "Hate it" is that most of the instructors are really nice and encouraging. The classroom instruction was fast but easy for me. The driving course is a mill. For a 8-hour a day, 5-days a week, 1-week course a student group of 4 gets about 60 minutes per station (inspection, straight line backing and hookup, site side parallel, blind side parallel, and left and right alley docking, etc.), which means students get about 15 minutes of practice time per maneuver per day. An hour and 15 minutes practice time, if you're lucky. Trucks used in class are older manual 10-gear, usually. When you make it to the road, you sit in back on a flat bench without seatbelts. You get a couple of hours driving time a day for 2 or 3 days. If you don't pass on your first try, you can come in for a week after regular hours for 30 minutes extra coaching a day, if you find an instructor willing to do so. Then they write you off.

Laila Jarrett

Tom

Unprofessional, they don’t care about you. They only want one thing, your money. If something comes up and you can’t finish the school they will throw you to the curb. Make excuses to keep your money, well if it benefits them it’s ok but not the customer. Bad Business

Jessica

Was recommend. Great program! Staff is amazing, great family business, definitely recommend!

Best academy/learning facility I have ever been a part of. Thank you to all my instructors and staff, and to the owner. 5 stars above and beyond my expectations!

Such a great school!

The prospect of driving a big truck can be intimidating, the staff at Daly's takes that right out of the equation. Daly's has given me a new lease on a life and career. The staff is both professional and knowledgeable in all aspects of the business. I would recommend Daly's to anyone wanting to break into the trucking industry.

Erin Johnson

the teachers are so great. Daly's was amazing!

I'm Veteran looking to use my Post 9/11 to obtain my CDL. I'm looking for schools closer to home , this school popped up with high ratings. I have yet to start but I did a have great first time experience. I sent an email to ask if they do accept post 9/11 due to it not being listed as a source of payment. Within a few minutes I received an email. I say this because I sent an email to one company two weeks ago I still have not received anything back nor a phone call. For me and first impressions of a company is their reaction time to emails or phone calls. So far no complaints. I will write another review if I decide to attend this school. I'm doing CDL as my second option , I have my B.S. already I'm looking to expand my options more than just being in the Criminal Justice and Cybersecurity field. Again so far no complaints.

Maria Palacios

The best course ever!!! Thank you to Kathy at the office, she’s very friend. I liked the process and I past with a good score. Recommend to anyone that really want to learn.

Daly's helped me learn the in's and out's of truck driving. Well worth the money and now im ready for my career switch! thank you - David

Bianca Davis

Dalys truck driving school is a rip off. Out of a class of 13 only 3 people passed. Those three people had already had experience in truck driving. After the three week training the concept of truck driving is not completely there. The school allows you to come back and train after the program is over if you don't pass the DDS truck driving test, however, only when there is space available. There should be a curriculum that facilitators follow to teach students, however there is not. Each facilitator tells students something different when trying to maneuver the truck. Before I started at this school I was given info that the school was great. Those people were receiving their class B license and not their class A, which is an extremely huge difference. If anyone has time to go to a school that offers at least 8 to 10 weeks of training please go there, because Dalys will only take your money and send you on your way. HUGE RIP OFF!!!!!

The school was awesome. Have great instructors. I would recommend them to anyone that's look to join the trucking industry. 5 stars for sure

Brian Pierce

It was a good school, the only thing im skeptical about was the receptionist. She was always rude. To top that she was in her phone all day. I would go to class and have questions and she kept calling and taking videos like if she was in the DEA!!! To be the face of the company and its just bad, now everyone is thinking that its a bad school because the very first thing you see is her and her phone. Maybe i am old school and think customer service should be good and not on your personal phone. I hope this changes because if i was the owner this wouldn't happen. Other than that i had a good experience with pricing and my class options. (im talking about the bald gal). There is work rules and no no. Just bad.

Mohsen Atarod

training truck is old, management is awful, and you are gonna see after end of the school, and if you fail in dds ,each two months they gonna call you and reschedule you, for retest.that mean you gonna waste your time and your money, also you’re gonna forget everything because your not truck driver ,you don’t have any experience ,so it’s normal to forget everything and again, you’re gonna fail and you must wait to call you again each time you have to wait two months, and if you complain like me , they gonna say you have to trust the system

ana Olmedo

I enjoyed all the staff members here. They are all helpful. I would recommend this school to everyone wanting a CDL license.

Gwen Smith

FIRST OF ALL, I WOULDN'T WASTE THE YELLOW OR ORANGE INK TO GIVE YOU A HALF A STAR. DALY'S IS THE WORST SCHOOL IN GEORGIA TO GET YOUR CDL. THEY ARE A RIP OFF. PLEASE LISTEN TO THE WORDS THAT ARE COMING OUT OF MY MOUTH....RUN, FOREST RUN!!! DON'T DO IT!!!! FIND ANOTHER SCHOOL, OR YOU WILL BE SORRY. GO TO C.R. ENGLAND, SWIFT OR A SCHOOL THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO FRONT THE MONEY UP FRONT. ANY SCHOOL THAT ASK YOU FOR MONEY UP FRONT IS A RIP OFF IN ITSELF. I ONLY GAVE 1 STAR BECAUSE IT WILL NOT LET YOU POST UNLESS YOU GIVE A STAR,,,,SORRY I HAD TO WASTE THE ORANGE INK

Robert C

This school is great at teaching what you need to know in order to obtain your CDL. The trainers (James, Lang, Billy, Colin, and Bob) are great! Each have their own way of teaching, but, if you listen and apply their information, there should be no problem learning it. Also, if you need help, you can request after hours training. Mr. Taylor (Training Director) and the office personnel are personable and very easy to approach when you have questions. Having recently graduated, I can speak to how easy it is...despite having previous CDL training! Bottom line...there is no reason to fail when you have such assets available!

Patrina Hayes

This school is the worst!! The 5 star reviews are probably from the owner making fake accounts to make the school look good!! This is a redo for me and I believe they are only working with me because I’m going thru the WIOA program and they didn’t get the complete payment!! The instructors are rude, they treat you like a child!! Very disrespectful, will insult you and if your not doing well and need help they will refuse to help and say it’s because you missed a day or you were late 5 or 10 mins!! They show a lot favoritisms to people who kiss butt or the ones who have prior experience!! This is not a school for beginners... this school is for people who already have some experience with trucks and just need a training certificate!! If you don’t know anything... you won’t make it here because they teach nothing!! They give you points to remember, then tell you how to put in the box but they don’t know how to teach you to do it on your own!! So after several weeks of them telling you how to do the maneuver step by step every time then correct you when you make mistakes!! Then your tested but haven’t really been taught anything!! The instructors gloat about their ability to drive the truck, they belittled you and compare you to other students who get it( somehow on their own) and treat you like your stupid when your a student who have never driven a truck or a manual truck!! The equipment is very old and you have to spend time learning each flaw in the various trucks so you can try to pass a maneuver. The instructors know the equipment is faulty and they still have no patience!! Yelling in your face is most of the instructors number one plan of communication!! I will get a CDL even if not from here!! PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!! I am, a current student who plans to report this company to BBB, the news to see if they will do special on this school and I’m talking to a lawyer!! They are scamming people for sure!! They have a recording that plays in the background when you call that’s says they have state of the art equipment but that’s a lie!! I am currently writing this on lunch break at Daly’s!! AGAIN DONT COME HERE!! They are usually short of staff!! Like today an instructor quit... his name was Allen

Younes Lachqar

The worst choice ever I made by going to that school they don't care

Kid Diamond

Has to be the worst school ever they lie about there pass rate and all there worried about Is the money grab before anything they want your money, and Stephanie has to be one of the most rude and ignorant she males I have ever met.

Pedro Gonzalez

Hello, I have attended this school. It bothers me to see so much hate towards something that has given me a chance to succeed in the trucking business. I have seen this school first hand back in 2016. if you notice all of the bad reviews have no name whatsoever. It makes you think if it actually went there and spent the money. At every school you attend you must study at home. I noticed how every review that has a bad name doesn't even stand up to their opinion. My brother attended along with me and he has learning disabilities, from the moment we went and paid for school the staff was nice and proper and knew he was a special student. Kathy took time out of her day to prepare my brother for the big test not to mention that all the instructors always put more and more of their time and effort. That didn't stop my brother from succeeding in every aspect. So no i don't agree with all of these fake reviews from ari x and ariana that i believe are just one person that cannot even put their name in a review. So THANK YOU! Stephanie and Kathy and all of the instructors for always working with each and every student that comes your way.

Rob Holmes

Great staff and instructors. I had a great experience.

Best place to get your CDL. The staff is so awesome.

Never go to this school because they are crooks They will tell you when signing up for classes that they will tell you at the end of the class that they will take you a note that you should not call or go to school. After that, you can no longer go there and try to get into trouble driving because they do not get in touch with you. And if they take it, it will take several months

I love this school. Bad reviews come from bad experiences and people that clearly did not know how to attend school.

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Dalys and the trainers were helpful

Liz Ramirez

Daly's is such a great school! They have plan payments and start school every two weeks.

DextheHex P

Decent training for former drivers or those with some experience. Not recommended for beginners -- fyi spend your money at a real school like one of the local technical colleges. Instructions are good but the main instructor Rick is like a drill sergeant. Students can expect to wait two weeks or more between graduation and testing, or even between tests. They do not allow any practice unless failing at DDS twice. 50% pass rate. No janitors to keep the restrooms clean. Classroom seats are uncomfortable. And a couple of office staff are disrespectful.

The instructors, who are alleged former truck drivers, would rather sit back and smoke cigarettes than care if you learn how to drive a truck. They only want your money. Move on. Find somewhere else. I'm surprised these guys are still in business.

Daly's is a really good school with some really good instructors. Just as long as you take this training seriously they will work with you. Thank you Daly's for having patients with me and for training me. I will refer this school to anybody who wants a change in career to trucking. Jan 2016 CDL holder. Dailys graduate student.

Charlies Montalvo

Everyone at this school was great. I got the training I need within the three weeks. I had never stepped foot in a tractor trailer or a manual transmission anything. Keith took me on the road and I learned the gears within.

Patrick Desmond

This is one of the worst and CDL school in Atlanta, I would never allow another of my relatives to attend that school again. Stephanie and kathy are so rude and all the want is money money but have no customer services. That is the only school that always schedule people for a re-test every 4 months when they fail, that’s horrible. My nephew graduated and I hope this school shut down or get rid of kathy and Stephanie. All I can say is wow, cause I am sure that the owner doesn’t know what’s going on.

I was going to try this school but according to their reviews and what I have heard about this school is horrible and they waste your time and money, after months waiting to be called for exam, they don’t give you any good training hours and staffs are so rude, they don’t care about you that you need to be in road but only the payment. Be aware of this fake and garbage school, I suggest Roadmaster to everyone and I went their and got my license whitin 3 weeks classes and many great things.

There's 3 things that you should look for when you make investment in your life. 1. Is it a career? 2. Are you passionate? 3. Do you like to exceed yourself?? If you answer yes to those 3 questions then I would suggest making this a career. I've seen various comments. And all I can say that if you never try you'll never know what a great school this is. ITs fast paced environment with a great office staff. Stephanie Matus is very professional and very understanding when emergencies happen to occur. All of your results are based on your efforts as an individual.

Please double check what you're being charged. They will over charge you and call it intrest, which by the way is never mentioned to you at anytime unless you ask why your balance is so high. Stephanie will send you to Kathy and Kathy will send you back to Stephanie sort of back and forth blame game mess. In my opinion these two women should be investigated, something isn't right with the way funds are being handled. I truly believe they're over charing students and pocketing the money and those 5 star reviews are fake as hell.

I graduated recently, it took me some time but I kid you not. The instructors are fantastic! Their instructions are on point, and these guys will train you to be a professional. I thank Daly's and their staff for allowing me to get a Class A license, thus I guarantee you that if put your mind to it, and listen for every detail for what they have to say. You shouldn't have no complications whatsoever. Thank you Daly's Truck Driving School & Staff!

Behrouz Farahani

Stay away of this business. Making money is their goal not teaching driving scales and doing the job that they get paid for . Don't expect to gain any outcomes by waisteing money here .
