First, I've read all the reviews about this school and if you do, you also will see that everyone has given it extremely high praise in all respects: amenities, facility, quality of instruction and staff. I agree 100%. It's all because of the extraordinary gentleman who owns and runs it, Ash Hodge. Despite all the rave reviews you really have to meet him to appreciate his compassion, commitment to excellence and follow through on everything he says he will do. It was over two months ago that I took his course and I called him yesterday to ask a question about my recent court experience. Not only did he instantly remember me, but he treated me like a very good old friend and gave me valuable information. Don't even think about going anywhere else. You'll miss the opportunity to know Ash.

I took this class to get a discount on my car insurance which is really beneficial to me. 1 Act Driving school was very easy to work with. They have many class options to fit your schedule including weekends which is great for people who work and have limited time. The instructor was very helpful and knowledgeable and the class was able to be completed in 6 hours. The class was very instructive and was a very small investment to gain a significant discount on my car insurance. Overall- a great experience! Would recommend this school to anyone. They also teach Driving.

I attended a class here, it's very clean and very comfortable. They provide snacks, drinks and even fresh ground coffee. The instructor was very good and the staff was very helpful. The best part is they provide longhorns for lunch for no extra charge, if you have to take a class like this you might as well be comfortable, I highly recommend 1st act.

1st act driving school has gone above and beyond, to help me make the best of a tedious situation. While taking multiple classes to reinstate my license, all of the instructors and especially the owner,Ash, have made my experience very easy, encouraging, and comfortable. Scheduling around my busy work schedule and tight finances has been a heavy obstacle to say the least, but 1st act driving school was helpful and understanding each step of the way and allowed me to get the full benefit from the program. For lower insurance rates, court certified programs, and overall driving-safety 1st act driving school will forever be my first choice.

Fantastic experience!! I talked to owner Ash for an extended time before sending my 16 year old to attend the 30 hour in person course. Ash was always pleasant, helpful, and quick to respond. Monica, the office manager is friendly and consistent ( EVERYONE is really) , the environment is safe and clean and they always have coffee available. My son really enjoyed the course throughout the 4 day split schedule and Dan, the instructor of the course was incredibly knowledgeable and very obviously LOVES his job. Dan made the course as enjoyable as it was enriching. I feel my son learned a lot about being an effective and safe driver that he will retain. 1 ACT is a GEM and a worthwhile investment. I'd recommend anyone and everyone to 1 ACT.

The process of going through a DUI really sucks but this place makes the class interesting. Ash is down to earth and holds no judgement. He was willing to work with us and make sure everyone was comfortable. I had a bunch of questions for him and he was patient with me and answered them all. The class starts off slow and is not meant to be interesting but David knows the material and tries to keep everyone engaged with videos and activities. Great people and good class.. they do the best with the material that the state has given them. Longhorn lunches are definitely a plus!

I highly recommend 1 Act! The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable and they kept the class interesting. Ash was wonderful working with me to reschedule my class after I had a death in the family. They go out of their way to make the experience easy and comfortable. To put it simply. if you need to take a Risk Reduction class, this is the only place you should go. Not only is the facility clean and well organized, Ash and Monica make you feel like an old friend. The instructor I had this past weekend, Chris, was excellent! No one chastises you and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable - from flat screen TVs to comfy chairs. This has been a fantastic experience. I was really stressed out because I waited until the last minute to find a class. I have to report back to court tomorrow. I did a Google search for defensive driving classes based off of my location and this one came up. I called to see if I could be scheduled for today's class and the person on the phone was excellent. Ash answered all of my question and got me scheduled the following day for class. I called back at 8am the following morning to double check the start time. Again, Ash answered all questions and was very polite. When I arrived, the facility was noticeably well kept. There were snacks, coffee, and soda. I ate so many of the pretzels that I feel compelled to take the time to write a review. That and they made this a very seamless process. I was really stressing over it. I NEVER leave reviews. They earned it. Great job!

I have never experienced a DUI before Nor do I hope I ever do again But, this was a lovely experience. Staff is wonderful. Monica, Ash, Taresa- were all very accommodating and informative. I am in the restaurant industry so paying $355 and missing out on weekend money would've sucked 1Act offers weekday classes, which, nobody else does. There is fresh coffee in the mornings and long horn lunch was provided as well as adequate breaks. Facility is very clean and conveniently located. Three words to describe my experience with 1 Act: comfortable, professional and personal. Ash and his staff always dealt with me with incredible courtesy (in person or over the phone.) There was coffee, fruit and snacks each morning, as well as free catered lunch (a steak if you request!) for the two full day sessions.Additionally, the instructor for our sessions delivered the information with passion and respect. If you, or someone you know, is in need of these services, just call 1 Act and from the initial call you will know this is where you need to go to handle your situation.

I found this school on line and it was the only school in my area. The class had to be canceled however the Director even volunteer to pick me up and take me to the other location just so I could finish the class. Ash is a great Director. He answers the phone and is able to answer all your questions. If he is busy he will call you right back. He has a great personality and very professional. The whole staff treats you with respect. The instructor, David, is great and help us make it through the long weekend. The awesome thing is this company provides you with snacks to get you through the day and buys you a hot lunch on Saturday and Sunday. It is nice not to leave the school and have to worry about making it back in time. If you value your time then you want to attend this school.

As some of you may know, getting a DUI or any other traffic ticket can be stressful. From court to DUI class, maybe even jail time. Getting a DUI was the scariest thing I have ever experienced. Act DUI school was informative and comfortable. The instructor, David is very knowledgeable and non-judge-mental. Ash, the owner is a very nice and attentive. An absolutely fantastic experience. I called to ask questions before enrolling, and Ash (the school's owner) called me back and talked to me for almost half an hour. When a business owner calls you himself, spends time answering all your questions and gives you his cell phone number, you know that this is probably a business you want to deal with. As many have stated before me, this place makes a stressful experience a bit more bearable. Ash and his crew are professional and understanding. The office is well maintained and the amenities are quite surprising. With lunches catered from Longhorn and the fresh fruit and snacks, I would gather that there is no other place like it as far as facilitating the classes they do. David, the instructor, is extremely professional and knowledgeable. He makes a mandatory 3 day class go smoothly and makes sure that the information is understandable. Even though I hope that no one has to go through the process of why this business even exists, I have to say that I will recommend it to anyone needing to complete the state requirements. In fact, I wouldn't even continue searching for another place once you found this one.

There are many reasons why I would recommend 1 Act DUI and defensive driving school. First off there was an easy registration process, also the staff and environment was friendly and welcoming, plus the instructor was knowledgeable and kept you engaged. The main reason for this recommendation is because I have a New York State drivers license and I was having a problem with getting my paperwork to Georgia DDS for reinstatement of my license because they only accept original documents "no third party faxes" and 1 Act director personally assisted me with everything that I needed with no hassle. The owner and fellow workers were more than accommodating and I thank them for that. Sometimes good customer-service is hard to find.

I chose this class after reading the reviews on this page, sure it was a bit further than my local DUI school but it was worth the drive! Snacks and coffee were provided for us through out the day and on top of that we were served long horn steak house for lunch! Ash is a really cool guy and the instructor David was quick with the jokes. I would recommend this school to anyone who needs to take the class.

Mr. Ash is really a wonderful and awesome guy. I did not do any defensive driving exam on his center but that guy will provide you the wonderful advice with his experience which will at least give you a peace of mind. He will help you without any interest either you are taking classes from him or not. Honestly, I was already embarrassed and overwhelmed about my situation with DUI. Ash, the coordinator at the Defense Driving School showed so much care and compassion that it made my entire experience comfortable and productive. By far the BEST!!! The counselors are kind & take their time teaching & learning about you & your personal experiences. A plus also, they cater free Longhorn Steakhouse lunch where you can order off a menu, finger snacks to get you through the day, coffee, water, etc. Very clean facility & spacious. Dr. Ash Hodge is an incredible speaker. I learned so much today that I really surprised myself. He was interesting, real, funny and highly informative. I would urge ANYONE who needs to do the school to lower the points to go to the Hammond Drive location. If you want to lower your insurance by 15% go to this class and you will save tons of money. Almost all insurances honor this according to Ash. Ash answers all questions- and believe me I had a million. They ranged from when should someone use their brights to is it legal to flash your lights at the driver in front of you. Ash was just so helpful that I can't thank him enough for this positive experience. And I am not being paid for this post. Totally voluntary. I am excited about lowering my rates and am going to get my husband to take the class too. I have a new perspective on the rules of the road. Do yourself a favor- sign up for this class and get a new lease on driving. Dr. Hodge gets my highest recommendation. He is a credit to his profession.

When I came to Atlanta few months ago from Asia I did not know which was the best driving school… I shortlisted 3 driving schools from the Google search and called them and believe me when I say the reply I got from the other two driving schools was “Please go on our web site and read the details”. And only 1 ACT was the one driving school where Monica (who attended my phone) patiently explained me all the details and how to proceed with booking my lessens and how the web site works. She is the first person you interact with and she really sets the bar high. Going ahead just to clarify I know driving (I have been driving for last 25 years) but coming from Asia the driving side changed (Right side to Left side) the instructors Jermaine, Christopher, Guled were so friendly, patient and with clear instructions on how to handle change of side. I will trust them teaching my kids with the driving lessons. Ash who is the owner has awesome sense of customer service and always ready to help and accommodate. They go ABOVE and BEYOND to make it an all around decent experience. I took the 20 hour Risk Reduction class and did my initial evaluation at their Lawrenceville location, but there wasn't a full class for the weekend that I needed to attend. So they transferred it to Sandy Springs, free of charge. I expected the weekend of class to be miserable, but it was not bad by any degree. HIGHLY recommended. I strongly doubt that you will find a better choice. A+++++!

There are snacks, sodas, coffees, and fruit that they offer during the weekend along with Longhorn lunches on Sat and Sun. Classroom and restrooms are clean and stocked. My complete experience was absolutely great! From booking the class to attending the class...Everyone from start to finish was very helpful and pleasant to work with. The food was great and the instructor made the class very engaging. I took the class for insurance reduction purposes and that is exactly what I got. I just saved about 10%. This class was well worth it. When it was time to present my certificate to my insurance company I could not find my paperwork. When I contacted Ash, with the defensive driving school, I was able to receive copy within minutes without any hassle. Now that is world class service!

The one word that I can use to describe my experience with 1 ACT is "integrity." I was enrolled with a competitor and was in a continuous class reschedule loop.
