I got my CDL A about two years ago from All State. Im a retired veteran who was using my GI Bill to go back to school. I sat down with the staff and they guided me through every step of the process. I suffer from some injuries due to my service, the staff never judged me once they were kind and considerate and helpful always checking on me and making sure I knew what to do next. I did the full 360 hr class and really got to know my instructors and build a good reputation with them. They took time to go over detail of the pre trips and even over things like drop and hook. They especially helped me to get my shifting downing pat up and down through the gears and how to really be comfortable in the truck. The instructors would vary up the routes with me so that way things weren't always predictable and it helped me to become a better driver. After I passed my cdl a the school continued to assist me and help out by weekly emails from Jessica on new job postings and such. She also called me a few times to see if I had a cdl job and how it was going and if I needed any assistance. Recently I have decided to shift from local work to over the road and the school has offered to have me come back in and take a quick refresher course to brush up before I go over the road. To sum it all up All state CDL makes you feel like family and takes care of you in every they can to give you the best possible chance of becoming a great driver.

Great school worth every dollar

One of the main reasons why I attended Allstate Commercial Driving School was because it is accredited. Their certifications met my expectations, and their tuition was very affordable. On a personal note, when I first started the classes I was a bit hesitant about taking the CDL course, but when confronted by the staff then I became enthusiastic about it. The instructors were very patient with me even when I would get frustrated with myself for not being able to perform a particular maneuver, they would encourage me to just keep on trying; up until the day that I tested for the CDL and past. I would like to thank them for my success. Overall, the environment at Allstate was extremely professional and clean at all times. I would recommend anyone who would like to become a CDL Driver to choose Allstate Commercial Drive School. Trust me you won’t be disappointed. Allstate also offers a forklift course which I took advantage of. When I started the forklift class, I thought that I would only learn how to use a basic forklift, but to my surprise the instructor who was by the way just as professional as all the rest thought me how to use 5 different machines which he informed the class that warehouses are using today.

Thanks Adam!! Walked in without appointment looking for general info. on starting the program. Adam took almost an hour of his time to explain EVERYTHING to us. He was thorough, helpful, and a pleasure to work with!!! Very impressed! Thanks Adam!

Great school. My 21-year-old with only one year of driving experience and almost zero mechanical sense received his Class B CDL with the P endorsement through AllState. He passed his pre-trips and road tests on the first try! Holly was an excellent instructor, patient, thorough, etc. The staff, especially Tom in the office, was responsive with questions my son and I had. My only minor complaint was after my son passed his DMV written tests (air brakes, general knowledge, and Passenger, all of which AllState helped with apps and practice questions, etc.), there was a mix up in the scheduling department and there was a two week delay in my son's beginning his road instruction. But no big deal. Other than that, the school makes everything easy for you every step in the process, from studying for you written tests, what the DMV will need when you go there (and before you go), the instruction, and the way examiners will show up on site (Seymour) to take the road tests, even on Sunday! Highly recommended school to get your CDL.

Randy great instructor the rest of the school useless never call back students not helpful at all had a job tell me that this school is only about money and they don't educate the students properly so go figure

Can't say enough great things about Allstate CDL school. I started this program for my CDL B with zero experience. My instructors convinced me they could teach me to drive standard and it's exactly what happened. After 2 almost 3 long months and failing my first test and my re take due to the road portion I finally passed my third time. The facilitie is top notch, clean, presentable and welcoming. The advisors to the instructors I can't thank them enough for believing in me. They truly do root for you. The one on one training helped me the most, they broke everything down for me and kept pushing me to keep trying. Do your part. Work hard, show up to class, study at home, watch the videos and you will pass. I won't mention names but specific people worked with me and truly were a big reason I now have my CDL. I 100% recommend this school to anyone who's looking for their CDL. It was worth every penny. Thank you again to the staff at Allstate I accomplished something that at first I thought was impossible. I now have my CDL and it was 50% effort and 50% to the great people that work there. Never get discouraged if you don't pass the first time, took me 3 times! Thanks again to everyone !

They do there absolute best to hide the fact that it costs you 500$ to sit down and have your info typed into the computer. They should make it very clear (not hide it in a 12 page booklet) that there gonna screw you if something happens and you cannot attend or finish school.

Jaime Grant

Great place, cool instructors, they worked with me to work around my school and work schedule. Best part is they only do one on one lessons which was perfect for me. No groups, no waiting on other students, just you the instructor and the truck.

7brandonc

The trainers give good instruction and work with your schedule the best they can. Reasonable pricing too! Great place for training.

Let me start by saying I have no regrets going to Allstate trucking school...Got to shout out to Connor and Bob they are the ones who made it possible for me on my 1st attempt for the Class A license....I know the other instructors are good but my experience was with them both...It's the best school in the area in my opinion

Angel Morales

As of day one my personal experience with the Staff, from admission to Scheduling each staff member treat there Student's. With the upmost respect and Dignity! The Instructors each have great knowledge and backgrounds in there respective tasks. each are kind and very caring in that they really do want there students to succeed not just at the School but in life in general I personally recommend Allstate Tractor Trailor to anyone seeking to advance not just there CDL/A but in any area like CDL/B, Forklifts and School Bus Driving and they are a hub of information on openings of employment in the fields!!! Thank You to everyone at AllSTATE!!! truly indebted my success is your success!!!

I’m very happy that I was able to obtain my CDL License with Allstate. The instructors were very patient and helpful. The whole staff was very knowledgeable and had great attitude. Even years after I graduated I had help: I sent my resume to Jessica and she worked on it making it more appealing to employers. I got my first job thanks to a job post sent from Allstate to my email. And I receive those emails until this day.

Alex Sanabria

First of all the trainers are amazing and give great advice on how it is to be on the road. They were extremely patient and actually care on the success of the students. If the student is willing to learn and checks there ego and attitude at the door, there's nothing these guys won't do for you. I highly encourage anyone who's looking for a future on the road to give this establishment a shot. Trust me, you won't regret it. Thanks again guys, I won't forget what you've done for me. Allstate commercial driver training school was a great experience. I got my CDL A I learned so much and all the instructors have a lot of skill and are very patient and helpful. I was able to work a full time job they always worked around my schedule, the school is always clean and everyone is always very kind. They take the time to make sure you are comfortable and ready to succeed. I mainly worked with Pete and Dom they always took the time to go over maneuvers and make sure I was ready to go out on the road. I passed my test on the first try and was a very happy experience. I would recommend Allstate because they are a great school to learn how to drive and to obtain a CDL A.

Matthew Purcell

I went to allstate for my CDL. I had a great experience. If you are considering getting your CDL, one on one with an instructor is the way to go which they provide. My instructor was Rich. He was fun and knowledgeable at the same time. they definitely prepare you for the test. Their classroom facility is new and spacious and their trucks are all in good shape. They arr flexible with your schedule so you will always be able to get your classes in. Highly recommended

Nasty Nate

They put on a great act until they get the money. They stole my money, wasted my time, and lied their asses off. They have no respect for their students and could care less about you getting a job or a CDL. As long as they get their money. Your better off learning everything for free online and renting a truck. You'll learn more and get more driving time on a good truck. Their trucks are horrible and are about 30 years old all screwed up. If you like loud mouth racist republican idiots than this might be the school for you. If not it's gonna suck.

Misty Morgan

So happy with this company, words cannot even say how grateful we are! Allstate found ways to save us money, not take our money. We were working with another company but they just wanted to sell to us, not help us. They were friendly, courteous, genuine, and the 1 on 1 training was the best part. You don't find companies like this anymore. Thank you so much for taking care of us! I highly recommend you all!!

Daquan Chatten

My experience at Allstate Commercial Driver Training School was excellent and the staff went above and beyond what I ever expected. I was an old returning student and the school worked with me to complete my CDL training. I highly recommend Allstate to anyone who is looking to get their CDL. The school also helps with job placement assistance and worked with me to find a job I love!

Peter and butch thought me everything to pass my cdl thank u guys. Peter is the man the best thing all state have ...take care of the guy

Lewis Carter

Staff pretty good depending on who you get. Straight trucks are terrible. Need to maintain upkeep. Some trucks power steering problems / alignment. Others stick shift.

Ice cream Noel

I earned my CDL A here. They helped build the basic skills I needed for truck driving. You can expect to do everything you do at school, out on the road. I worked with Pete. I would recommend him to others.

Steven Lesperance

The staff and all instructors were awesome. But Holly is by far the best instructor there! She really cares about her students and she really wants them all to pass. If you want an upgrade on your licence, I definitely recommend Holly! She is a true asset to Allstate Commercial Driving School. But watch out for Helen

Allstate was a great place to learn and get my Class A. I have no regrets picking Allstate driving school and because of their 1 on 1 teaching I learned a lot in a short time.Their instructors are great and very helpful. They are also proactive on finding job placement for their students. Overall Allstate is a great School I would recommend to anyone pursing a career in commercial driving.

Dan Civitello

Allstate was a great place to get my Class A. The office staff were very clear on what to expect from the DMV and course itself. The instructors were thorough and very helpful, even though I was driving them nuts backing over cones in the wintertime. But they were patient standing out there in the cold and eventually I got the hang of it. I went from zero experience with a trailer of any kind to passing the DMV exam on the first try. I was pleased enough with Allstate to reccomend them to a friend of mine, who just completed the Class B course. I'd recommend them to anyone who's interested in pursuing a career in driving.

stephen purcell

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Adam,Scott, Peter and the entire staff. The instructors couldn't have been any more dedicated and professional to making the entire process a success. From the first day until the test day your succeeding is their #1 priority. Thank you again !!!

I would like to say that from the moment I signed up at ALLSTATE COMMERCIAL DRIVER TRAINING SCHOOL, I was very happy and excited to get into a truck. I was also happy with there price range for the CDL-A and there payment options. Every day I had training the trainers would make me feel very comfortable and were very helpful and educated & they made it easy for me to pass my test with no promble at all. Now I have my license ( YES ). I'm very Happy with the trainers and the staff in the office that helped out till the end. They would work with you in any form they could , plus if someone called out and there was a slot open they would call you to see if you would like to come in and do extra hour's. I would recommend this school to anyone with no hesitation. For the price and the hours you do to get your CDL it's a no brainer to Come here and sign up. I hope this helps you to sign up with All STATE you won't regret it.

Nathan Mercado

I have earned my class A CDL through the Allstate training program. They have worked with me since day one around my work and personal schedule. So I can receive training no matter if it was weekdays or weekends. Even when I needed more practice they were there to assist me. After I officially received my class a license they also followed up with me to see if I needed assistance looking for work. The staff is very resourceful and attentive to their students, they even were able to assist on endorsements. Even now I have recently followed up for a refresher course and they were all hands on deck. Thank you Allstate for my career change and being supportive all of the way!

Richard Jubrey

I have difficult landing a position where I called allstate driving for assistance where they were able to get me they assistance I needed to move on with my career I like to thank Tom Adam and Jessica and the staff for making me feel at home I would recommend this school a for a great career thank u sincerely student mr.jubrey

David Latman

I would to thank the entire staff at Allstate Commercial Driver Training School. Instructor Peter Colby was extremely patient with my training. His commercial driver knowledge is unsurpassed. Most of what Pete taught me I will use going forward in my employment. 15 years ago I achieved my Class B with Allstate. It enabled me to provide a very good living for my family. Chris, Scott, and Jessica were very helpful in achieving my CDL Class A license. I would recommend Allstate Commercial Driver Training School to anyone looking to further their career in the logistics industry.

Frank Green

I attended the Allstate School for the CDL Class B, my experience was a great one. The instructors were knowledgeable, experienced, patient, and professional. I am currently working for a company driving with a respectable salary because of the training I received at the Allstate Tractor Trailer Training School. I would recommend this program to anyone looking to pursue a career in the trucking industry. This class has prepared me to drive a number of different vehicles, passenger buses, box trucks, flatbeds, garbage trucks and the ten speed double clutch Eaton Fuller Transmission. Thank you Tom O'Shea for your assistance in helping me with my financial aid.

Tom Naciadis

Poor instruction.all this school cared about was the money. I was denied my DMV test on the basis that I wasnt ready after paying an extra 500.00 dollars for extra classes. They manipulate your grades and tell you you need more tine. So ultimately I was told I wouldn't be getting a test as part of agreement and told pretty much get out or give us more money. Do your self a favor and don't go to this school.

THIS IS A REALTIME REVIEW: 03/09/2016…..March 09, 2016 I did my research very WELL before choosing one (1) out of only four (4) CDL compliant licensed schools in the entire state of Connecticut this past December 2015. After speaking with and meeting the radiant Mr. Adam, I decided to enroll with Allstate Commercial Driving School in Seymour, Connecticut / CT and started January 4th 2016. Currently, as of March 2016 one of the schools I looked into is no longer in business and now it's down to three (3). Myself, just like the rest of world reads all the reviews online that we can find prior to turning over our money and committing. All I can say is, “the proof is in the pudding”! The past Negative reviews for Allstate are Bogus, or simply other competitors trying to purposely Deface ALLSTATE. I'm not a representative nor do I have any allegiance to Allstate, but I will testify to the fact that THEY DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL DO! As a poor college student (Honors GPA) who needed income to support my child, I had a choice to make…..which is how do I Earn a livable viable income FAST?? (Especially living in the OVERTAXED state of Connecticut) Please understand that I’m an educated person that simply needed a way to earn income quickly, but I also realized that I was not going to pay another school like NETTS/New England Tractor Training School (no offense) over double the amount of money to get the same education. Netts wanted around $10,000 for the same education and to spend most of it in the classroom and NOT with the most INESTIMABLE commodity…….THE ONE on ONE instruction that I obtained at ALLSTATE. My first experience was in a classroom with Mr. Ken, and what a sweetheart he is! Ken is very charismatic and knowledgeable, and let’s face the truth…..we all hate sitting in a classroom, but Mr. Ken makes the time seem like a summer vacation day! Mr. Ken’s stories that apply to REAL LIFE situations and what to do when the $Hi* hits the fan and you have to make a decision is Invaluable! This man has knowledge that only comes from at least 40+ years of driving, and what to do when it happens to you. Next, the dear Mr. Pete who trained me and GOD BLESS HIM! I thought after our first time out on the road I was going to have to bubble wrap him and duct tape him. Yeah… I was that bad and scary! To Mr. Pete, you are the BEST of the BEST and I truly owe anything I’ve learned in driving maneuvers to you. Mr. Pete is a NO BULL$h1T kind of guy, but he tells like it is, and calls a spade a spade. Mr. Pete will tell you what you need to do and how to do it. To Adam one of the owners, you’re also really good at what you do, but you should be in the yard not in the office because you’re good and could teach well if you wanted to (hint, hint, get out of the stuffy office and teach, your skills are needed). For the office scheduling crew, it’s nice to see your smiling adorable face, but get out of the yard when we’re training, it’s too much distraction. haha The receptionist, (I’m sorry I do not know her name) is always SMILING, and HAPPY! ++++++ It’s so nice to see a smiling face when you just screwed up your parallel park or ally dock! And to the others there that I’ve observed my hat is off to you all, Mr. Dominick and Ms. Holly especially. Dominick has such a contagious vibe and you can’t help but to want to chat with him.

Patrick Phillips

This is the worst trucking school ever I seen in my life I am an otr truck driver for the past 29 years of my life and I am trying to help a friend of mine to get his or hers license and what a joke of this company is I can tell you from my experience that this owner of a company name Chris who has know idea how to run his equipment or his trainees on how to teach them how to drive a commercial vehicles I can tell you one thing about this owner of company name chris he wants some of his trainees wants to fail and make profit in his pocket which I think it's not fair and some of his equipment is a POS and he has no idea how to run his business their for I advise you to look for another trucking school besides him I gave him a rating of a .05 star for his business just to let ya know thank you

Angel Butler

I started at Nettts...there were 10 guys in the group and I was there for a full day and only touched the truck twice. I'm still paying back the student loans. I ended up finishing at Allstate. They have private lessons so I was never taking turns with any other students. I got my CDL in a few weeks with Allstate and have been driving CDL ever since. I wish I went to Allstate in the first place.

roberto ramos

RANDY thank you brother, spoke me through it step by step. Couldn’t ask for a better instructor.

Luis A Rivera

Very good. School the best #1 got my cdl first .Shot

jose de la cruz

When decided to do the training to drive commercial vehicle I had a few options. However, when i sat down with tom and went over the one on one lessons program they have with flexible schedule open 7 days, he convinced me immediately because others schools did not offer that. on top of that, I can tell you their prices are lower than other schools with financing available if you do not have the money to pay it which it was my case. i completed my training and passed the tests in the first try. TO BE HONEST I DON'T REGRET CHOOSING ALLSTATE. I suggest to do the same !

Bill Baird

Great school staff and instructors are very helpful and make learning how to drive a truck easy I would recommend Allstate to anyone looking to get a cdl

Lee Bryton

I went from thinking I could drive a standard to getting my CDL A. The instructors know their stuff. They have years of driving and teaching experience. And they will get you ready for driving the truck and taking the test. The first lesson of backing up the truck was a challenge. Then the next maneuver. Allstate truck driving school was a good choice. I recommend Allstate truck driving school.

I received my CDL Class A License from Allstate Commercial Driver School over 8 years ago. I decided on this school after reviewing several others because of its flexibility. I was able to work a full-time job and still train for my CDL. I recently came back to Allstate for a refresher course and training so I can stay in compliance for my CDL. I would recommend this school for anyone who is trying to obtain their License.

Doug Bogan

I graduated from AllState's CDL-A program back in October 2017. I have nothing but good things to say regarding my experience at the school. The fact that all instruction is conducted on a one-on-one student/teacher basis is HUGE - there's no standing around waiting for your turn - everything is 100% hands-on. Plus, the school always worked around my schedule to fit lessons in each week. That was really impressive. Their instructor staff is really great, laidback, a lot of fun and very knowledgeable - each instructor with whom I worked really wanted to see me succeed. They are chock-full of little tips on what to anticipate when taking the driving/pre-trip test with the DMV inspectors and they're a wealth of knowledge on the trucking industry as a whole. Even after I graduated, AllState continued to support me, providing me with a couple refresher lessons a few months afterwards before I started driving for a local company. I'd recommend AllState to anyone who is serious about getting their CDL, willing to work at it and wants to enjoy the process every step of the way.

Sean S

They have great instructors. Peter C. is the man. They will help you as much as possible so you pass your exam. The rest of the work is up to you. Follow the instructions and you'll be okay.

Instructors did a great job of taking their time to teach me. Very knowledgeable and gave me great advice as to where I can go with my career. Staff was professional and helped me navigate with my options.

I'm currently a CDL-A holder and a graduate from Allstate and I can tell you from experience, "Allstate is by far the best driving school in this region!". They are not only just friendly and professional but the instruction you receive is A+. I was able to pass the state exam with confidence, on my very first attempt. From the easy enrollment process to the 1 on 1, individualized training you receive. It doesn't just stop there. They are proactive in helping you with job placement and fulfilling all your career goals. From them emailing you job openings to hosting job fairs, this is a school that actually cares about it's students and I'd recommend them to anyone whose pursuing career as a CDL driver.

William Perez

This school was fantastic. Instructors that care with one on one attention, no big groups. Fee was reasonable and I was able to work a full time job while attending and still complete the full course within months. They are super flexible with hours and can even double up on certain days if need be (2 classes back to back). I checked out all other options and this was the best without a doubt. I strongly recommend checking this school out and attending if a cdl is what you're after. I now have a class a with hazmat, passenger and tanker endorsements. They also help with finding jobs/ a career.
