I am Korean but the instructors here are very welcoming and straight-forward so I had no problem understanding the concepts. So even if you are internationals, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. (They have their own painted driving cars so you can easily find them out on streets) Moreover, they give you a score sheet based on how you performed on roads and you will identify what your weaknesses are. I've attended a various kinds of prep schools in my life (including math, eng, science, Japanese Kendo and etc.) but I can surely tell their education was one of the best things ive ever received. To exaggerate a little, I felt like I was majoring in Driving B.S. at a private liberal arts college.

I received driving lessons at Primo, the instructor’s name is Luiz, it went really well, he knows how to give the instructions so the driver does not get nervous and also gives the instructions clearly. I took the DMV drive test service and got my license thanks to him.

Mark, a founder of Primo Driving Schools, is an excellent driving instructor and a very kindhearted person. After taking 8 classes with Mark, I passed my driving test from the first attempt! Before buying a package of classes, I did some research on yelp and called a few other driving schools in my neighborhood in order to compare prices and services. Prices for packages are pretty much the same in every school. Mark was very polite and personal on the phone. It sounded like he really cared about me as a person and not just another client. That's why I chose him, and now I'm so happy to have done it! Every class he taught me new skills and took me to new places, including Downtown and Silver Lake. I knew I probably wouldn't need it for a test, but I will definitely need to know how to drive on a freeway, how to merge into a fast-moving traffic and to get out of it safely. Moreover, Downtown LA has many one way streets and it is important to know how to get around such an area. Last 2 lessons were dedicated to preparing me for a test in Santa Monica DMV per se. Mark was flexible with his schedule, and didn't hesitate to sacrifice a few Saturday afternoons for our classes. Moreover, he was punctual and always let me know when he arrived. While driving, he would always comment on my pluses and minuses, but in a very respectful and encouraging manner. I constantly felt his guidance, support and attention. Mark definitely instilled confidence in me as a driver, which I lacked when we started our classes. To sum up, I HIGHLY recommend Primo Driving Schools!!! THANK YOU MARK!

Primo Driving School is a great investment in your time and money. I passed the behind the wheel test on my first try with only four errors. The instructors, especially Niki and Mark, are wonderful. They immediately make you feel comfortable and they have a very approachable way of correcting mistakes. They never make you feel like you did something wrong or that an error can't be corrected. The instructors are very kind, patient and well informed. And their punctuality is refreshing. I took three lessons of two hours each, and they were immensely helpful. John and Garrett were my instructors and they both are equally great. I do have to mention that John give such great little tips and tricks for the road which not just prepare you for the test, but make you a better and safer driver. Garrett gave me one lesson and I have had no trouble parallel parking ever since. I went for my behind the wheel test with Mark who is so nice and a very interesting person. I felt very comfortable and confident. I failed my first test due to lack of traffic checks which was the thing pointed out to me by both, John and Mark during lessons and before the test, but which I unfortunately didn't keep in mind while driving. After my first test when the examiner pointed out my mistakes, I realized that every single one of them had been addressed during my lessons. I passed on the second try after keeping the traffic checks in mind. I would highly recommend this driving school to everyone, and even though it might seem a little expensive as compared to other driving schools, it is only because of the high quality of cars and instructors. Definitely worth your time and investment.

Wonderful service!!!!! Mark was flexible in scheduling time for my son to drive. The trainers were all patient and knowledgeable about what my son needed to pass his driving test. While at the DMV 5 people failed their driving test. I was getting a little nervous but my son wasn't bothered he was confident in his driving skills that he had learned from Primo. He passed!!! This was his 1st attempt. I was happy didn't want to do this again! lol! Thanks Primo staff great job!
