I got approved through the state employment services for a grant to pay for the school but they claim they never received the voucher and refuse to let me attend the school even though the recruiter has talked to someone at the employment services. I can't understand what is the problem. What makes it worse is they drug it on for a couple of weeks when I could have just went to another school. I do not recommend at all . The guy I talked to at the school was a Mr Howell Bailey.

Currently enrolled and I graduate this Friday May 12th. The class is only 3 weeks and so far it has been a great experience. I didn't know anything about trucks before I got here and now I feel like a truck driver. The staff and instructors here are absolutely fantastic and friendly. If you want to start a career in trucking, I recommend coming to TDI in Oxford AL.

I went here last summer May-June 2016. Great school and the staff were all professionals. Tim and Billy and karon all treated everyone with the respect professionals deserve. Learned a lot in the short amount of time I was there. They teach you the basics required to start driving big trucks and get you through getting your CDL. Jarvis Smith (master chief) was a great school director and I have become friends with him since school and he continues to mentor me a year later. Can't say enough about TDI and it's staff. Loved it!!

T.D.I is an amazing school, they care about you and rather you pass your final test or not. The staff will work with you and give you the tools you need to become an successful driver. They believe in you and believe no matter how long you have been driving you always have something to learn even Master Chief have things to learn. As long as you listen study and do as you are told you will pass all of your qualifications. I have never seen more dedicated staff. Just don't run stop signs, pay attention to all of them. I love this school!!!

Myself, and every student was so nervous about learning to drive, and passing. It was amazing how they (TDI, Oxford,AL) whipped us into shape in only 3wks!!! Serious business, but still they found a way to make us relax n enjoy the process! Mr Jarvis Smith, and the entire staff are not only the best at what they do; they are simply "good people!!!"

Well I passed test didn't stop until I graduated. I was working the next week full time. A lot of ppl that are trained from other schools never get what is taught at TDI the classes are three weeks long but you do learn what you need to to drive a semi and pass your state test. Awesome group of men.

I would definitely give this school a 5 ⭐️. You couldn’t ask for a better school to help you jump start a career in truck driving. I went into the school, not knowing anything about a semi truck or how to operate one. After I finished the three weeks of training, I pretty much know everything about the truck and I am a pretty good driver as well. If you are interested in becoming a truck driver then I would strongly advise you to go here.

This is a very good school I was ready to quit cause I figured I couldn't finish the class thx to all the instructors I finished and pass at state and not to mention Master Chief coming out on the range making sure the instructors was helping the students on the range this is the very best school to attend if you are wanting a career in commercial driving I give this school 5 Stars.

TDI taught me how to obtain a CDL and position myself for a new career in truck driving...tdi also arranged for me to finance the school...I didn't have the money up front. The company that hired me right out of tdi is now paying my loan while I work...I'm very thankful for this school and it's staff...they really want you to succeed...thanks TDI

Had a great time. Learned a ton in a short time. The school director aka "Master Chief" makes it a great experience. All the intructors are very knowledgeable and helpful. I was struggling with tight turns but Billy took me to the tightest place in the county and showed me how. I really hated when it was over.

I was a recruiter for H.O. Wolding Trucking, Inc. I am now retired. I called on TDI, Oxford, AL, for many years and hired many students from this location. They were always top knotch students that didn't require "retraining" once they arrived at Wolding for hire. I always enjoyed my presentations at TDI, Oxford, as they were always very professional. Everyone from the recruiters, office staff and instructors were always pleasant and welcoming. Under the leadership of Director, Jarvis Smith, it was a tight run operation. The students were put to the test and always were a step above other students that I encountered at many other trucking schools. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone who is seeking a training program to obtain their CDL license. One of the best!

So it took me 5 weeks to complete the 3-week truck training at TDI. I highly recommend TDI to anyone that is interested in becoming a professional truck driver. Jarvis, Billy, Jay and the other trainers/teachers will not let you fail. The only way that you will fail is if you quit. They went out of their way to make sure that I understood how to complete the tasks/procedures. They spent one-on-one time with me on the range patiently explaining how to back the truck. Because of the training that I received at TDI, I am one of the top solo drivers for my fleet manager. I highly recommend TDI Oxford Alabama!

I graduated in March of 2016 from this school. I can not thank them enough. There were a thousand times were I wanted to quit and give up and they wouldn't let me. Learning to drive a truck wasn't easy for me and they worked with me for as long as it took. These men work hard and are very patient with everyone. They honestly come to work everyday wanting to teach us what they already know, like the back of their hand and it shows. I would recommend this school to anyone and have recommended plenty of my family and friends to go to this school.

I love the staff except for the classroom part I feel it could have a little more money put into it. The range instructors are awesome including Jerry. You learn so much in so little time you think how am I going to complete this. The equipment could have a little more money put into it as well. I had a lot of conversations with the director and all of them I’ll never forget. With all this being said. The school is worth the money.

Took my class A CDL examine on Saturday 2/24/18. Passed!! No Problem. Truck Drive Institute, Inc. Oxford Alabama has the friendliest staff, EVER. Yea, they are paid to be friendly, but not to be sincere. Everyone on staff are down to earth genuine people. They will help you succeed, even if you are like me, I knew nothing about 18 wheelers. It took some extra training and hard work, but they would not give up on me and "VIOLA". 3 weeks later a Professional Truck Driver. While attending, you will get multiple job offers from trucking companies and be ready to earn a better living for you and your family as soon as you graduate. I highly recommend this location to anyone thinking about a career in trucking. Don't let the cost of school stop you, because they have tuition reimbursement. Say What?? Yep, the trucking companies will pay for you to go to school because truck drivers are in high demand. Give them a call. BTW, I know my name is unusual, but I am a real person. LOL.

By far the boot camp of schools. Instructors are great. They know what their doing but if you dont listen to what their telling you. You won't get far. Its so simple the way way explain it and it works. By far billy can teach the worst of the worst. All great people friendly and very helpful.

The knowledge and experience of the staff is top notch. If you want to learn how to drive and handle a big rig, this is a good place to go. However, be prepared for adolescent & childish antics by the staff which really comes from the top down. They're all on a power trip as far as trying to intimidate you, because they get intimidated by their superiors etc.

This is an excellent school if your looking to drive a tractor trailer. The school is only 3 weeks long but the staff insure you are prepared for every part of the state test. Make sure you have a copy of your high school diploma or GED. Call every trucking company you can and learn what each have to offer before you graduate so you can jump right into a job after graduating. And the most important.. Get a copy of the pre-trip inspection from the school and learn every single word it says, you'll thank me later. This school is Military friendly and the G.I. bill will cover up to 100% of the tuition. On that same note there are many trucking companies that offer a military apprenticeship program which I highly recommend taking advantage of.

Choosing TDI in Oxford, Al has been a blessing for me. The things they teach are far beyond any other school I have heard of. At TDI Oxford, Al you can expect to walk with your head held high for many years to come because of the knowledge given from the EXCELLENT staff there.
