I had an office visit and procedure with Dr. Mcrae. From start to finish, the staff and physician were all kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable. I would recommend this clinic, and will certainly see Dr. Mcrae again.

I hate to leave bad reviews, but hear me out. Good things about DHA: I got to my appt ~30 mins early (drove in from out of town), and they saw me right away. Also, the nurses were hilarious. Now the bad part: I saw Dr. Elvira, and was basically treated like an idiot. No, I'm not a doctor, but I brought ALL the results of every lab test, blood test, CAT scan and I came with questions. My CAT scan showed my gallbladder is working at 15%. She won't answer a single one of my questions, ordered blood tests that I had already done (and brought the results of!!), and when I was visibly upset, she ordered an ultrasound to "make me feel better". So all my new blood tests come back EXACTLY the same, and that ultrasound that she didn't want to give me? It showed I have 3 gallstones! Also, I told them I wanted to have that ultrasound in Laramie where I live, and I got a call a week later from a Cheyenne hospital. I call the office and get the test sent to the Laramie hospital, and the day of my ultrasound, they called me back 45 minutes late, because this gastroenterologist didn't let the hospital know what test to run! Then they wanted me to pick a surgeon in Laramie that I could talk to about a possible surgery. Guess who never called? The surgeon, probably because Digesitve Health Associates screwed that up too. Basically, if you value your time and expect some dignity and respect from your doctor, please go somewhere else, even if the wait-list is long. The wait-list is long for a reason. UPDATE: Just got a notice from Cigna that I owe them $800 because this doctor used "an experimental test" and did NOT inform me that she was doing any tests that would not be covered by my insurance or that they were experimental. DO NOT go here.

I do not recommend this office because they are so difficult to correspond with. They do not offer a secure messaging platform and the only option is to leave a voicemail that will not be returned. Everytime I call, no medical assistants are available. Like magic, when I say I would like to file a complaint, someone does become available. This is an un-accredited, independent office so there is no higher organization to file complaints with about the low standards of care offered here.

I have been with DHA since they were IMG in the Physicians building next to CRMC. I have very severe Crohn’s disease and I see Dr. McRea. I think of him as my gentle “giant” because I first met him from a hospital bed at CRMC. He has excellent bedside manner, is an asset to my medical team. He is a good listener and appreciates patients who are active in their care. He works well with my other medical providers. All the staff, nurses, medical assistants, etc are hard working but have great sense of humor. I have not had the opportunity to have a GI test in the new building but have heard that it is a big improvement from the old location. I highly recommend Dr. McRea and Digestive Health Associates especially to anyone who is living with a severe chronic condition like IBD. Also both of my parents see him too.

I found the staff to be rather unhelpful and unprofessional--the doctor ordered several allergy tests for me, but didn't tell me where to schedule them or when to go, and offered me little to no assistance in doing so. Then, I had to call to ask if my tests had come in because there were several weeks with no reply. I found out that they had come in, but nobody had contacted me about the results. Overall, while I don't question the skill of the doctors at this location, I believe their patient management practices are very poor and leave much to be desired.

I was very pleased with the care I received at Digestive Health and the endoscopy center. My procedure went very well. The staff was very attentive, professional and caring. My doctor was Dr. McRae and he was excellent. The facility is new and clean. I will recommend my friends and family see this clinic and endoscopy center.

Dr. Mcrae was professional, understanding and above all listened to the problems that I was having. I found all staff members to be upmost professional and also put me at ease . All members explained what and why they were going to do before the did it. I would recommend this clinic to anyone needing great care. Chuck

I saw Nurse Practitioner Elvira Mullikin, and I was treated with total disrespect. She kept repeating things over and over, refused to LISTEN & refused to answer any questions. She had very poor beside manner and could not engage the patient in dialogue about the condition. She kept referring to old data textbooks & Internet websites because she did not have current knowledge to treat my condition. Then when she pulled up the data, all of it was irrelevant and and she could not think on her feet. Ms. Mullikin stays "on message" (much like a politician) and is not capable of referencing information IN HER HEAD she should already know and is not capable of keeping up with recent medical trends in treatment. Overall: 1) This practice did not take my temperature; I had a raging fever due to an abdominal infection. 2) The scale was broken and the nurse insisted it was "calibrated" rather than jumping on it herself for a test drive. Now all other patients data will will wrong! 3) The nurse who was taking my blood pressure started asking me a troubling question which made my BP escalate. 4) The checkout person seemed clueless. Needless to say, I will never ever return to this practice because this practice is not trustworthy; no one there got it right. I could by dying & I would prefer death to setting one foot in this practice. When I was visibly upset, Ms Mullikin refused to comfort me! Overall, this whole "medical" experience was very insulting. If you value your life and expect some dignity and respect from your doctor,go somewhere else! [I should have believed the previous post regarding this practitioner. Hope you will too.]
