After many years of horror stories, I reluctantly attended my post retirement physical at the VA Medical facility in Minneapolis several years ago. The experience was beyond my expectations and gave me hope for future encounters. After a few years separation I began to seek care with the VA Clinic in Chippewa Falls. I was treated with dignity and respect, my appointments were always within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, and the staff has been friendly and accommodating to my needs and schedule. I understand we all have different expectations and needs, but my experiences have been exceptional! Thank you for the care provided in the past, present, and future.

So far tried to see a counselor 3 times and been rescheduled the first time and the counselor has been "out sick" the other two times. Another poor VA facility I guess.

Shocking. Another VA facility that cannot run on schedule. Looking forward to being rushed through when I finally see the doctor an hour after my appointment was scheduled.

Very Good service! Doctors are easy to talk to and listen well to my concerns. I have had no problems with get medications. Very grateful to have them in the area. In my opinion if you are not getting help here you just are not asking right for the help properly. I wanted to thankALL the staff that helps me with all of my healthcare needs!

Horrible. I’m a rated veteran have been going to the Madison Va for years. Moved up here, had a cough I couldn’t kick and thought I could get help at the Chippewa VA. Walked in, staff was rude, close to closing time, they said they couldn’t help me. Told me to drive to tomah! Next day I drove to tomah VA, told them what happen and they advised me that the Chippewa VA should not have turned me away. Do not go to the Chippewa VA, uneducated all around.

In general I have been pleased and impressed with the service, facility and individuals providing service. The VA is massive as we all know, and the office in Chippewa Falls seemingly has high rotation among the clinical staff, this said however overall I have been pleased.

About 28 days since my "yearly physical" that consisted of listening to my lungs and heart by the doctor. Period. I was told that I could stop taking a pain medication for the nerve pain that I have been on for 3-4 years because I "probably only had a pinched nerve in my shoulder", guess the results of the 20`0 MRI in MPLS VA Hospital that showed multilevel degenerative disk disease at C3-C4, C4-C5, C5-C6 and C6-C7 and an EMG in 2010 that showed evidence of left ulnar neuropathy has nothing to do with pain in my neck and shoulder and arm and hand. I do not understand why no urine testing was done seeing I had blood in my urine last real yearly physical exam in 2014. I mean, what is going on? I am a 73 year old male vet and I have had just the best health care from the Chippewa Clinic in all the years I have been part of their health care, the very best, but I just do not understand this so called yearly exam. My exam results were mailed to me and covered 1/3 of a page, 2014 results were 4 pages. Any one care to try and explain this to me?

I was told to come in at 3pm to see a nurse. I waited patiently until 3:55pm and 5 minutes before they closed i was rushed in, asked what was wrong and then told I had to go to Minneapolis. Now I can't be seen until December 8th. This was in October.

The Chippewa VA is a waste of time. I got the run around every time I’ve delt with the nurse and stay. The Doctor is booked way out and is extremely hard to get an appointment. I just called the Minneapolis VA and they can get me in next week. They wont fill prescriptions that other VA doctors have prescribed. I have had way better care at the Minneapolis VA.

I’ve been using the Chippewa Valley VA Clinic for well over 10 years. I am always treated with dignity, respect, and courtesy. Rarely do my appointments start later than scheduled, and if they do, I am notified quickly about the delay. And I’m talking about 3-5 minutes late. Every staff member is very professional and accommodating. Special thanks to Dan, Kyle, Alicia, Pam, Greg, Deb and Dane for helping me through some really tough times in my life. I am very grateful for my VA health care, and the Chippewa Valley VA Clinic.
