The building is new, spacious and nice inside. I have had a good experience with some of the doctors, but unfortunately, a majority of my experiences have been rather negative. I was misdiagnosed with a heart attack (no symptoms) and rushed to the ER. The hospital still expected me to pay for the visit. My mother was also given an incorrect diagnosis (a terminal blood disease), when a simple, additional exam could have proven otherwise. My wife has also been unhappy with many of the staff and medical treatment. To sum it up, nice facility and convenient location for anyone in Lake Country, but service and treatment are sub par.

Aurora’s Emergency department is nice; however it certainly has its flaws. Most of the ER doctors are great; however, Dr. Gilmore is quite angry, presumptuous, arrogant, and off putting. I have had 3 surgeries within the year & some infections with extreme pain in between where he would not even examine me. I went in with both of my parents, and he still assumed I was just drug seeking despite my intense abdominal pain. A few weeks later, I had to have an emergency gall bladder surgery in the middle of the night. He does not take pain seriously nor gives the patient the time that they deserve. If you need an emergency room, I would suggest trying to get to Waukesha Hospital or Oconomowoc.

The care and professionalism of the Doctor's and Nurse's is incredible! They have pulled me through many serious issues and I will be forever grateful to them. I'm very happy with all my Doctor's and wouldn't change them for any reason. Just wish that had a better selection for Cardiac and Diabetic diets. Very limited menu items.

Wife was in ICU unit and had to use the restroom while on a no walk restriction. Told the nurse who was in the room at the time. The staff took their time getting to her and she ended up deficating on herself and in her bed. How does that happen?? The shame my wife felt broke my heart. Inconsiderate! Will use a different hospital should one ever be needed in the future.

I think your experience depends on which doctor is at your care there. If your doctor is good then you will have good care. His nurses are like his students. Good doctor will have good nurses working under him. My husband is currently here for surgery. The nurses are OK. It is rarely that you will get their attention right away because they dont just care for you, they have other patients to take care as well. When they are with other patients at the moment then you have to wait for a little bit. I agree sometimes you will meet some nurses that are not that good at their job as you expected. If so, maybe you should report it to your doctor or her boss. The hospital usually send home a survey to your home after you get discharged. Do every patient a favor by voice your concerns and send it in. I am sure they will have it corrected to make more people to come in to have their care there instead of somewhere else

Let me start by saying ER staff was amazing. From Dr, nurses, ultra sound tech, ct scan tech and Dr. Gallagher. It was a long day of trying to figure out my lower abdominal pain. Never did. Then came keeping me overnight for pain control and possibly other test. Dr. Elnagar has the WORST bedside manner ever. He walked into my room with an attitude asking why I was there. There was nothing wrong with me. After a discussion with me in front of my husband he did not keep his word! Did not give me proper pain care. It was a rough night. Then first thing this morning walked in my room again and said your going home! Again, nothing is wrong. Yes many test were run but it was mentioned a urologist would see me. Nope! Get out! I will be filling a formal complaint against this Dr. He does not belong in caring for people!

If I could give negative stars I most certainly would. My roommate went in for a simple surgery that was completely botched, by a butcher that called herself a surgeon. Sent her home without personally checking on her, and because of the artery she sliced through, she was right back there in about 3 hours with roughly 3 units of blood inside her. Never in my life have I witnessed such a lack of professionalism and compassion in the healthcare field. I witnessed far better treatment being given during the chaos that is combat. I will never go to this chop shop, and will do all I can to make sure nobody else does either. To put it simply, the level of care was absolutely pathetic!

The nursing care was less than stellar. They never encouraged me to walk and didn't give me an extra gown or robe so I could go out. They didn't give me anything to wash up with. Lucky enough I had my own toothbrush. They didn't give me the correct medications that were prescribed and they gave them at times that were different than what I told them I took them. All in all I had a bad experience and this was the 3rd time I stayed there and didn't have a good experience.

Daughter here right now for a severe shattered wrist.. None of the staff of nurses or doctors communicate with each other...daughter is screaming in pain as they have horrible pain management skills so because of her screaming they sent security to her room and threatened her with having law enforcement give her tickets... again we are at summit right now 05.22.2018 and it's 250 pm.. worst place ever!!!!

MRI..... After insurance and other hoop jumping, estimate was for a competitive price. A month later, I get the bill and they charged me an extra $1,050 for "Professional Services". The billing "specialist" who "isn't good at math" said it's standard practice to charge separately. They basically charged me $1,000 for a person to spend 5 minutes reading my MRI, from what I can tell. No one will break this cost down and explain it. Then, I go to my specialist doctor, who ordered the MRI, and pay him to read my MRI. I should have known better from the people who will charge 2 co-pays when you get a physical if you answer the question "so how are you feeling". In the end, whatever they quote you at, add $1,050 to that.

My grandmother Is in there with a life threatening spine Infection. The way the nurses are treating her is so unacceptable. They told her if she doesn't move she will die. They pt lady was screaming at her.... my grandma has wet her bed twice , she pages the nurse when she has to use the restroom and it takes them so long to get in there. Also she was getting a pic line in... they did it in her sleep....didn't even wake her up to tell her before hand, she woke up in the middle of it and was so scared. She peed herself again then. Never will we send her back there.

Staff within hospital has horrible communication. Nurse call lights are ignored. Takes a minimum of 2 hours just for an appointment to get my blood drawn. Consistently disappointed by the service of this hospital. Seems to be every workers first day on the job.

Fantastic staff, and their professionalism is remarkable! The care of my son during his motorcycle accident was impeccable. The hospital is a trauma hospital, as he was air lifted there after his accident.
