I came to Advanced Eyecare Center when I felt like my eyesight was struggling. I never wore full time glasses or contacts prior to this visit (I'm 31). I had a pair of readers my previous doctor recommended for computer/reading, but those weren't cutting it anymore. Let me just say I LOVE Dr. Ann and the whole staff. Everyone was so nice and knowledgable. You can tell Dr. Ann has a true passion for what she does and I learned so much from her. Between ordering contacts and glasses I had to call a couple times and everyone was always very nice and friendly. And I love my glasses and contacts they helped me pick out! I can't compare their prices to others because I haven't seen anyone else, but I know they recommend the best of the best lens and contacts so it might seem pricey for some. I didn't have coverage for materials, just a discount, and paid $306 total for designer frames, which I don't think is terrible for 100% out of pocket. I 100% recommend this eyecare center.

Haven't been to in for an eye exam in several years, but I definitely plan on continuing to visit more often now. They made setting the appointment up very easy, and explained any small question I had with great detail to further my understanding of any topic I had brought up. I heavily recommend this location.

I just recently went to get my yearly eye exam and get new contacts, and I was blown away by their service. Everyone was very friendly and patient, especially the doctor. She went out of her way and even stayed late just to do an extra test on my eyes and get the correct prescription. This is the first place to also actually listen to me when I mentioned my dry eyes and it turns out I did have a problem. I would recommend this place to everyone, especially people who may have problems such as astigmatism. They were great and got me a prescription that will make my eye sight the best its ever been, I am just so happy I went here or I would be stuck with contacts that don't work well again.

THIS was an horrible experience that I have ever received at a clinic. Dr. Ann, and son John were not on track that day , being John was married two days before. An employee at the clinic was also very upset with the whole situation, and does not work there anymore. Dr. Ann offered to redo the tests that day, but I already was in the clinic for three hours. If I came back a new fee would have been charged!! I don't have time for this. I had to make an appointment with another doctor and was billed for that also.

My family and I have been going to Advanced Eyecare Center for some years now and we are very pleased. The doctors and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. It is always a joy to go to an appointment. Dr. Ann has been working with me on an old eye injury that has caused quite a scar and made correction very difficult. She and the staff have gone well above and beyond to help correct the injury. Dr. Ann and Dr. Glenn are both very good with our young daughters and making their visits pleasant. I highly recommend the Advanced Eyecare Center!!!

Long story short, I am really happy with Advanced Eyecare - Now, if you want a more in depth review - I had visited a different eye doctor over a year ago when I started to realize I could not see smaller text 10-12 feet away - it was what I will call your "strip mall" style place - with that previous place it was borderline terrible - I was made to feel almost stupid for not knowing about eye health and the test involved in checking it - almost a "well duh" of course you need to do this, or "why can't you figure it out" sort of thing - now granted I have very thick skin so I didn't really care, BUT, that must have put it in my head to forget about if I needed glasses or not and I did not pursue getting any at that time - fast forward a year or more and my sight was bothering me to the point of giving a different place a try - my wife had found Advanced Eyecare (covered by my insurance) and setup an appointment - everyone there was really helpful and nice - by "nice" I mean not your typical stuffy medical office with monotone personalities that are clinically cold and somber - you probably know what I'm getting at - that's why many people don't like medical places - the staff here are the opposite - fun to deal with and talk to while explaining things to a first time glasses wearer such as myself - aside from the staff being great, Dr. Carli was extremely thorough and more importantly patient with me - she took the time to explain things to me and I didn't feel rushed at all - the whole process of "does this look clearer or does this" is pretty greek to me, and if I would have felt rushed, it probably would have been a waste of money - luckily it was money well spent - now for the ah ha moment - and I did not expect this when I went to simply pick up my eye glasses - I put the glasses on and looked across the street and I was speechless - and if you have read up to this point, you know it takes something big to make me shut up - now, I don't know if anyone from the location reads these but, it was an eye opening experience - bad pun I know - but it's true - I was getting a little choked up - it was crazy how well I could see and how clear everything was now - now I know everyone has different experiences but I would highly recommend giving Advanced a try - my dealing with them was great and I wish I had done it sooner!

LOVE Advanced Eyecare. I've been going here for years. Even though it's out of network with my insurance plan, I'm okay with that because they treat me so well. For example, I ordered some glasses, and when I tried them, they just didn't feel right. I took them back, expecting that I would have to pay for another pair, or a "restocking" fee, or whatever, but no - they took them back and redid the lenses free of charge, including doing another vision test (again, free of charge), to make sure that the lenses were right for me. Also, I have pretty bad eyesight, and wanted to get contacts for a few special events that were coming up - the manufacturers don't make contacts in my exact prescription, and both of the doctors actually came out and worked with me and the optician to find the contacts that were the closest to my prescription and would fit my needs. I've never felt rushed or pressured. I've recommended several friends and family members here, and they love them, as well. Highly recommend!

Not very impressed. I waited way longer than I should’ve to be seen. My appointment was scheduled in the afternoon, I arrived 15 minutes prior only to sit in the waiting room for over 2 hours after my appointment time. By the time the Dr. was able to see me, my appointment was rushed and felt half done. I received a trial pair of contacts, returned the following week so everything could be “double checked.” I was prescribed the wrong prescription which had to be changed due to the constant nausea I experienced because one of the trial contacts was too strong. According to the doctor, I was seeing “better than 20/20.”

So my experience was over a year ago, but it wasn't the best. I know I had to wait quite a while before I was seen and the folks that I saw before seeing Ann just seemed unfriendly and very awkward to talk to. After, I saw Ann, and she was very nice, but it more so seemed like my own opinions about what I liked and disliked in terms of contacts and glasses didn't really matter. So she tells me that my eyes are stressed and that my current prescription is too strong. Oh? Ok. So she lowers it by half (-4 to -2). I get home and try those trial pairs and holy moses, I couldn't see a damn thing. It was so fuzzy, I couldn't drive with them or anything. I called and she upped it to -3.25 and it's been fine since (til lately, my eyesight it is getting worse, but that's not their fault lol) Also, I understand that dailies are the best for the eye but hey, my insurance isn't that awesome and I'm not made of money by any means. But I really wasn't given any other options and when asked about other options, they down talked them to make the dailies feel like the right choice, but they're not the right choice for everyone. But, they just kept saying that these would be the best, so ok, I buy them, something like freaking $500 for the year, it might have even been $600 for the year. There was indeed a rebate, which was the biggest hassle to go through. So after I think they were $450 I believe. Still an insane amount of money and it's just too much. So with that experience I'm not returning. I just wasn't comfortable with the whole debacle.

Well i didnt have the chance to even get an appointment... I definitely would not suggest this place.. The woman whom answered the phone definitely needs some customer service education... As soon as i mentioned my insurance she had " NO TIME " for me ... Those were the exact words.. if i could give it negative stars i would..

This is the third eye doctor I've ever seen, & I instantly felt cared for & important to all the staff, they are friendly, helpful, & accommodating. Dr. Anne gave me information I wasn't even aware of! She is an amazing doctor & I highly recommend her. The waiting room is comfortable & has beverages & a TV. I'm very happy to find this place.

I found my original experience there rather unpleasant. They were quite pushy when it came time to buy some glasses. I saw the dollar signs in their eyes when I told them I have VSP. I will say the optometrist was pleasant enough, and if I recall, he didn't push the Optimap too hard when I opted for dilation. What sealed the deal was when I went back one year and one week later and asked for my prescription. The person at the desk told me it was expired and that I would NOT be able to buy new glasses with the prescription (they repeated this three times in my 4 minute visit). Though she at least gave me that part of the info I needed. When I asked about my pupillary distance, I was told that it would cost me $25... I suggested that I did buy my glasses there last year, but she told me I wouldn't be able to get glasses with the current (expired) prescription anyway. Look, it's no secret that I was going to buy some glasses online or elsewhere. There's no need to be quite so rude about it, ESPECIALLY when I bought nearly the most expensive pair a year ago. I originally felt a twinge of guilt buying a pair of glasses for 1/10th the price online, but no more. The old ways of optometry are done, and this place is going to have to get with the times or get left behind.

I did not have a good experience at Advanced Eyecare Center and will be finding a new eye doctor. At my first visit (which lasted 2 hours) Dr. Ann was very pushy about me switching to daily contact lenses. I told her that I had already tried dailies before and that I preferred monthlies. Somehow I still ended up going home with some sample daily lenses to try, a different brand for each eye. (I have no idea how this happened. I was pretty clear that I wanted to continue with my same monthly lenses that I had been using, and I never said I was unhappy with them or wanted to try a new brand. All this just happened before I even knew it. I do not like it when people try to push things on me.) I was told to come back in 10 days and tell them which contact I liked better, and at that time I could order it in dailies OR monthlies, whichever I preferred. So I come back in 10 days for my followup appointment (which lasted over an hour), and told them which contact brand was most comfortable and asked if I could order that one in a monthly lens. They told me that lens actually wasn't available in a monthly, and if I wanted a monthly they would again give me samples, have me try them, then come back in 10 days so they could check them. I did not want to go through this whole arduous process over again so I said, "Fine just let me order the dailies, how much are they?" Come to find out daily lenses are insanely expensive. Previously, with my insurance, I was paying almost nothing for a yearly supply of contacts. Dailies cost about $700 for a year's supply and my insurance will only pay up to about $200 of that. (Monthly contacts aren't even anywhere near $200 for a year's supply.) THEN there was the terrible handling of my insurance. I get it, I have an obscure insurance and many places have not heard of it. BUT this is the only place I've ever been to where they told me to bill my insurance company myself. I was told that Advanced Eyecare Center could not bill my insurance (Healthscope) because they do not have a contract with them, and therefore I would have to pay $700 for my daily contacts from my own pocket, Advanced Eyecare Center would give me the receipts, and I would have to mail them to Healthscope myself and just hope that they would reimburse me. This is ridiculous. You should mail them yourself, Advanced Eyecare Center; I don't have a contract with Healthscope either, so how is that any different? What do you think is going to go over better: me, an individual mailing receipts to Healthscope, or you, an optometrist office mailing them? To sum up: misleading and pushy doctors, employees who want me to do their job for them, and long wait times! You should only go here if you want daily contact lenses and have a very, very well-known insurance company.
