READ CAREFULLY. JACKIE SHROADES IS AN INACCURATE DIAGNOSTICIAN AND WILL REPORT YOU TO CPS IF YOU DISAGREE WITH HER. My son started getting eczema on his cheeks a week after his baby acne flare had cleared. I was told by Dr Dameron It was just acne despite me being sure it was different. I came back in for three different visits about it and was told by three different doctors it’s eczema and to stop eating common allergens and given steroids twice. I stop eating bread, milk & nuts. I use the two rounds of steroids as directed. The eczema returns. I ask Dameron to find a root cause and asked about allergy testing at two different appointments because my son was extremely uncomfortable for months at this point. At the second appointment asking for an allergist I get a referral to a dermatologist and an order for four blood allergens to be tested, (however after looking into I was told this is pointless because an allergist needs to read the information you can have false positives and negatives.) I call and set the dermatologist appointment. Then my son got pink eye so I took him into an after hours sick visit with Jackie a DR I HAD NEVER MET. SHE INSISTS HE HAS A SERIOUS INFECTION ON HIS FACE AND WANTED TO GIVE HIM ORAL AND TOPICAL ANTIBIOTICS. I say no it’s just the eczema that’s excessive and harmful when unnecessary. And she REPORTED ME to CPS for MEDICAL NEGLECT. She reported that she thought I was on drugs because “I HAD SLURRED SPEECH” and asked her to actually look at the concern I had (I wanted her to look at a flat spot and his occipital lines to make sure it was normal because it makes me a nervous wreck that their skull isn’t fused) and misquoted me saying “she said antibiotics are toxic”. (Which I never said and doesn’t even make sense considering I was there seeking antibiotic eyedrops for his pink eye.) I underwent a drug screen HAIR FOLICLE TEST. Negative for every drug under the sun for 6+ months. (I barely even drink at family functions and obviously passed all drug testing at Obgyn). Took my son to his dermatologist. NEGATIVE FOR OTHER SKIN COMPLAINTS (BESIDES ECZEMA). Oh and they recommend PRObiotics for eczema which I was already giving him ENVIVO. Jackie was also wrong about his head he does has a slight asymmetry that should self correct. She barely even looked at him she was too busy judging me. Jackie also assured me a referral for an allergist would FINALLY be put in, after acting so surprised that I wanted actual answers about my sons eczema instead of constant steroids and even more creams (I had an entire shelf of every eczema cream or oil available). The referral somehow got lost and wasn’t sent out for over a month after the appointment. The referral specialist had no answers as to why that happened.

This pediatric office was recommended to me multiple times even by a doctor down in Leesburg. She’s friends with one of the doctors here and raved about how wonderful they are. Since we are new to the Winchester area I felt confident this would be a good practice. I’ve called multiple times to schedule my newborn for his first appointment with no call back. I could see if they told me they aren’t accepting new patients but I was told because I didn’t deliver at Winchester Medical and I delivered at Inova Loudoun the doctor would have to accept my son. Now I’ve never heard of such a thing but ok fine. I’ve been told on two occasions they’d call back to schedule my appointment and the doctor shouldn’t have a problem with accepting us but still no call back. I assume that means it’s a no. I guess if you don’t deliver at Winchester medical you aren’t going to get your child in with these doctors.

The handicap entrance does not work. I told the receptionist and she said “we’ll yeah it’s turned off”. I kindly informed her “there are clearly handicapped people here” not that I should have had to. Some excuse for a place that’s supposed to help me heal my baby

Amazing office filled with amazing staff. Thank you for all you guys do! We love Dr. Damron and we just saw Dr. Blansett today for a sick visit and was very impressed with her as well. Called at 2:30pm on a Friday in the middle of flu season, and they gave me a few different options on appointment times for a same day sick visit. Their after office hours and holiday hours put my mind at ease as well. Thank you all so much.

The best pediatrics clinic you will find. Great staff and responsive to questions.

I am very happy with the doctors, but why doesn't the practice have a way to contact them via email, or even leaving a message after hours. I have a bill for a missed appointment, which wasn't missed (it was cancelled when we were there three days earlier). There is no way for me to contact the office at a convenient time. Every business has an email. Why don't they? In the 21st century, this isn't acceptable.

Dr.Duck is the best. She always makes my children and I feel better. Highly recommend this practice.

I love Winchester Pediatric. I went to this practice when I was a kid seeing Dr. Damron Sr. Now my daughter goes here. We love Dr. Caldwell, Dr. Robertson, Dr. Damron Jr, and Jackie. Thanks for always taking such great care of our family. Would never consider going anywhere else. I refer friends to Winchester Pediatric all the time.

Great staff and service!

There's a couple at the front desk that aren't so people friendly but other than that the staff is phenomenal. It's also impossible to get ahold of them first thing in the morning. I don't know if they purposely cut the phones off or if they are just really that busy but don't bother trying to call until at least 30 minutes after opening.

READ THIS BEFORE GOING HERE Naturally we saw the reviews before going here and thought it would be a good fit. At first it was, we felt like our newborn was being taken care there. After the first few weeks we started bringing her in for what we believed was bad acid reflux. She was spitting up and choking alot. There was also concern of how her head was forming. She had a noticeable flat side. After going there SEVERAL times to get these things addressed and after expressing how concerned we were, nothing was done about it. All we were told mind you by TWO different Doctors is that all babies have acid reflux and that her head was fine. We decided to get a second opinion since the problems were still happening and we felt like we weren't being take serious. After getting a second opinion the Doctor agreed that her choking from acid reflux was worse than normal and prescribed medicine. PROBLEM SOLVED she is so much better now and is a happier baby. Lastly the new Doctor checked her head and said that her head shape issue was SEVERE! She now has to get physical therapy and will require a shaping helmet for MONTHS! I am so disappointed in with the Doctors there and would never and will never reccomend anyone go here. They have cause so much stress on us and now we have to spend even more money. But worst of all they caused such more discomfort and issues down the road with our baby. The Doctors are there to ensure baby safety and care. The Doctors FAILED at doing this and should be embarrassed and ashamed.

Wonderful doctors. We love Dr. Caldwell especially but they are all great! Everyone is so helpful and friendly. Can't say enough good things about this practice.

Every single member of this office has always been pleasant, efficient, and helpful. I genuinely believe they care about my child and our family. I'm not an easy person to impress and I am grateful for these folks.

I am a new mom and my baby has issues with Lactose and was being tested for Galactosemia. After being retested 5 times I still had no answers. In the meantime we were struggling with breast feeding. I called the doctor for some direction on how to switch to formula and what kind to use. I left multiple unreturned messages. After a couple weeks of this, I finally called and was asked to leave another message for the nurse manager. I refused and said that I would hold as the messages I had left prior were not returned. The woman on the phone was extremely rude! I waited on hold for over 10 minutes and when the Nurse Manager finally picked up she was rude and very aloof. She said that they were “at the mercy” of the state lab and that the test results were not in. She said that the on call doctor would return my call to answer my questions about formula, but I never got a call back. This is when I decided to switch doctors. Two weeks later, I went to my appointment with the new pediatrician. I explained everything regarding the testing, and my experience with the staff at Winchester Pediatric Clinic. The new doctor was very surprised that I switched to formula without the guidance of her doctor and that I wasn’t getting return phone calls on such a potentially serious issue. Being that she was being tested for Galactosemia, she could have had major neurological issues with formula because it contained milk. Luckily, I did a lot of research on my own and knew not to give her a milk based formula. After one visit with the new doctor I found out she has an umbilical hernia which she has had since birth that was never mentioned by WPC. The day after our first appointment with her new doctor, I got a phone call with results a week after we took the test. He had already spoken to a metabolic specialist at UVA and gave me guidance on how to proceed with her condition. Today, a week after I had already gotten the results back, I got a phone call from WPC trying to give me the test results. I informed him that I had already switched doctors and knew what was going on. I just cannot stress how frustrating it is as a new mother to be worried constantly and never get any answers from your pediatrician. I am looking in to how to file an official complaint but wanted to inform people of their unprofessional treatment.

Dr. Duck has been amazing for our son since his birth. We are so grateful for her attentiveness and concern regarding any issue we may have. I also had the pleasure of seeing NP Jackie today for an urgent appointment. She was wonderful and got us in and out in no time. I would definitely be comfortable seeing her for any other issue if Dr. Duck wasn't available in the future.

Dr robertson is a great man. He has treated my wife and i with respect and kindness. He takes his time to answer all of our questions usually using metaphors to help us understand better. We have twin boys so you can imagine we've been there to see him and other staff a few times. Never had an issue with the facility or their guidance. Thanks doc your the man!

Dr Caldwell is amazing!! I have seen him since I was a baby and my little girl sees him now, although we have seen other doctors and they are all wonderful!!!!!

The Real Jerry Rock

There is a emergency nurse that works the after hours there names Vicki. She was veryyyy rude!!! I could tell as soon as she picked up the phone she had a problem! Then she continued to yell at me.

Tara Sarver

Waited 40 min past my appointment. What’s ironic is that they post a sign saying that if you are 15 min late you will be charged. They are never on time. ALWYAYS late and inconsiderate of other people’s time. Very unprofessional!!!

Dr. Caldwell is the best doctor. He fits with our hippie lifestyle while still looking out for what is best for our kids. We absolutely love this practice.

I was a patient at this practice when I was a child, Dr Caldwell was my pediatrician, he has been there since 1983. He has also been my children's doctor. I have 5 boys and they've all been his patients. When we can't get an appointment with him we try to see Dr Volinsky or Dr Dameron (Dr. Dameron's father was a pediatrician in the practice when I was a child until he retired) All of the pediatricians there are good, those are just my favorites, when my children were infants they always had on call hours for serious questions and the doctor on call would always call me back, even in the middle of the night. They have holiday, after hours and weekend hours although they have gotten shorter and shorter. At least they still have them! The office is meticulously clean, well organized, staffed well and the nurses and doctors are all friendly and helpful. I can't recommend them enough! Especially Dr Caldwell! He is so great with the kids, very thorough and is good with newborns, infants, toddlers, and school age children. When my oldest aged out at 18 we were so sad. No other doctors office is as good as this one! When we briefly lived in northern VA we tried a few different pediatricians, none were even as close to as good and as professional as this office! We moved back and are so glad! can not recommend this practice enough! :)

Just called for the first time to try to schedule my two kids physicals since we just moved here about five months ago from Loudoun County and they would not see my kids until I have shown proof of their immunization records to schedule an appointment!!! Never heard of this really bizarre just for a well visit appointment that is crazy !!!!

Great service, doctors who care, a playful waiting area with well and sick sides to keep the spread of germs down. 24 hour nurse line. Daily time reserved for same day appointments for sick kids. They even have walk in hours in the day and evening where they will see your sick kiddo with no appointment. You can't get this kind of service with a smaller office. My son has a condition that makes me come in often and so I have met most if not all of the doctors here. They are all knowledgeable, caring, and thorough. They take the time to interact with my son and strive to make his experiences as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend these pediatricians with my whole heart.

Michael Scott

The doctors are fantastic and having access to evening (sick) hours is awesome. The only downfall is how aggressive the billing department is. I have received letters in the mail that say "if you do not pay your balance of $80 your children will not be seen." I have been at this clinic for 9 years with 4 children so I can rack a bill up pretty quickly. I would recommend this clinic for those on medicaid or those who are independently wealthy. Not a great experience for those who pay $400 a month for insurance and then might not get seen over a small balance.

Great doctors, responsive free nurse advice line for patients, walk in hours every day (and only 160 for the visit without insurance), usually very little wait time for the emergency walk in hours, they have agreements with winchester medical center so if you need the emergency room you'll be right in. Sick and well waiting rooms to help keep germs at bay, playful and fun examination rooms, great staff, and they even have a fish tank. Oh, and no crazy germ spreading non vaccination parents allowed.

If I could give this office negative starts I would... Mrs Kessler the office manager along with Dr Duck are so unperfessional and rude. I called to make a sick appointment had to wait on hold for a long time finally talked to the office manager kessler and she was being very rude and overly firm. It was not necessary at all.. she has a bad smart attitude problem, if u hate ur job quit, don't take it out on me i just wanted to know what was going on... She actually hung up on me while discussing my son's appointment and when I called back she said it was because I said thank you... I will be filing a complaint report on Mrs Kessler... Dr duck my son, was seen one time by her and she dismissed him as a patient because when it came time for his routine shot appointments (which were never to be preformed by her anyway) he would be sick and he couldn't make them... hello it's winter cold and flu season. He has had colds almost every month since the end of summer (he's a 1yr old who also during that time had just started daycare and is bound to get sick constantly, what mother would make that up)...there was evidence that I came in a lot for the nightly sick clinics as well as made day sick appointments during the weeks the shots were scheduled and had to cancle....Dr duck is not not even his requested doctor she was only used as a last option. How can she make any decisions for my son.. this is the most bazaar sloppy treatment I have ever received from a doctors office... DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE, IT IS A HEADACHE, THIS IS THE RUDEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! NOW MY CHILD IS SICK WITH NO DOCTOR BECAUSE ALL DOCTORS ARE BOOKED BUT DUCK... AND I REFUSE TO CONTRIBUTE TO HER AT ALL, ... this has been a nightmare dealing with them. (By the way they acted as if this was a normal process, and treatment they give every patient, I doubt I'm the only one with this experience )

Ashley Sickels

Not many options to choose from in the area, this is the largest yet not accepting any new patients? The woman answering the phone needs to find a new profession where she doesn't have to interact with other peoole.

Bridget Smith - Kenneally

The doctors are wonderful with both the parents and the children but I had to take a star b/c when we 1st tried to make our newborn app the reception was extremely nasty & told us that since our child was not born at Winchester Medical center they wouldn't see us & then just hung up on me. Since there are only a few pediatricians in the area we had to get a fam member who's been a client there for over 20yrs to call in a favor or they never would have seen us. That receptionist needs be fired & should never be hired for a job where she has to speak with actual people

denesia Berry

Love our Dr valenski.he is amazing with my children. Always have time for questions.

Stephen Carter

I've never had a problem with the receptionist and we have only seen Dr Volinsky but he is great. We would recommend him to any parent. He's very friendly and spends as much time as you need, every time. Evening hours have been used on multiple occasions, and even when the line is long it's not nearly as bad as the emergency room wait.

Kevin Rhodes

Doctor took it upon herself to change my son's medicine. That did not work. He started failing classes in school having major mood swings. We called repeatedly for 3 months to talk to the doctor to get the medicine changed back. The doctor refused to call us back until we changed doctors and now go to Pediatric Associates of Winchester
