I highly recommend him for the treatment of Diabetes. I am constantly amazed at how little information some Diabetes patients are getting from their Doctors, when I talk to them. He brings a lot of experience and expertise to the table. I am a Safety and Health Specialist and ex Fire Fighter, he is one of the best Doctors I have ever worked with. Perhaps the patient that did not like his bedside manner, should focus on following his instructions that are offered for his or her own good. I will bet his bedside manner will improve.

He is a good doctor, but the front desk staff is terrible. They are really lazy in getting back to you, and usually forget to call you back before the clinic closes. I myself required an important prescription today that I now won’t receive due to the front desk laziness and failure to call me back as promised. I would give yourself a few days to wait and a backup option before considering this place.

Robert Bayles isn't a bad doctor. He just isn't a good one. Trying to find a doctor can be unbelievably difficult. How do you interview a doctor to find someone compatible? How do you find a doctor who actually remembers your name and cares? I found Bayles more than 10 years ago and because he was the devil I knew as opposed to the devil I didn't, I kept him. But over the years the problems kept adding up. He's not a good listener and has zilch for "bedside manner." When he comes in to see you, and he's always late, he might as well place an hourglass down and let the sands start flowing because it's pretty clear Bayles is an assembly-line doctor. He's very efficient at moving patients along. You are a mechanical problem and having turned the bolts on you, you are passed along to someone else in a "process." He also has a genius for prescribing medication that later is thought to be dangerous. Vioxx was a big one he pushed. Lipitor and the whole statin family was another, even when I was having stabbing pains from it. Every specialist he recommended turned out to be a waste of time and money, and some of them were a real piece of work. Fortunately, several years ago my insurance changed and I no longer needed a referral which I immediately put into effect by finding my own specialists, with a success rate that right off the bat was a 100% improvement. Eventually I came to a place where I thought that I really couldn't do any worse and I let him go. This is what I would recommend to anyone: don't be afraid to fire your doctor. There are good doctors out there, people who really do listen and care, and you're not going to find them by staying with an assembly line doctor who has long since forgotten why he wanted to go into medicine.

This is one great doc. Straight forward, no nonsense, highly competent, good communicator!

Brian Clayton

Great Physician, easy to talk with and takes the time to listen. He will respond to questions and make his responses easily understood.

I think Dr Bayles has a wonderful bedside manner. He is humble, smart, empathetic, looks you in the eye, and allows your feedback in the treatment options .

He has been my doctor for about 15 years and I place my complete faith and trust in him. I don't go to him to discuss politics, the Seahawks or the weather. I see him to make sure everything in my system is in good working order. If everything is fine I make an appointment for the following year. If anything is out of whack he either prescribes or refers. In other words, he does what a primary care physician is supposed to do. If I were to give him a grade it would be A+.

Jonathan Spruance

I've received consistently excellent care from Dr. Bayles over the years. He is experienced and highly knowledgeable on a wide range of medical issues. He is a careful listener and takes the time give in-depth explanations of various health matters, often sketching diagrams as he speaks to clearly illustrate complex processes. A truly excellent physician.

John Ward

Can't say that I can identify with the bad reviews. My experience during the past two years has been very good. He listens and explains what is happening and why, then he lays out options. That's pretty much what I want from a doctor, so he gets my two thumbs up.

Treasura Thompson

My family has been seeing Dr. Bayles for over 18 years now and we absolutely love him. We followed him from his former practice to Swedish and will continue to follow him. He is easy to talk to, listens and takes the time to hear what you have to say. He only encourages prescriptions when necessary. I never feel rushed, he always remembers us and asks how the rest are doing when they haven't been in for a while.
