I absolutely adore my doctor at OPA. Dr. Snitily is amazing. Kind, caring and listens to your concerns. Within three weeks of beginning my treatment with Dr. Snitily, I can say that my quality of life is already better. He is well educated, has an exceptional bedside manner, and is happy to talk through concerns, regardless of how long it takes. I couldn't ask for better care at this point. The injury I had was long standing, and been around for quite some time. I thought I would have to live with it forever as I am not into taking medications, or invasive care. Dr. Snitily listened, and prescribed a course of treatment that I am comfortable with. I am so pleased with this office, the people in it, but most especially, my doctor. Thank you for taking such good care of your patients. It shows in what you do each and every day.

I was referred to this office after an ACL, MCL and severe meniscal tear skiing. I requested a non narcotic, as the percocet given to me in the ED made me extremely nauseous. I was given a 60 count rx and order for PT and my surgery was scheduled out 10 weeks d/t need for pre hab and to accommodate a previously scheduled trip. After several weeks of twice weekly PT and full 40 hour work weeks, I ran out of tramadol and called for a refill. Dr Holland's RN Gretchen spoke to me in the most patronizing, unprofessional tone I have ever heard, accusing me to being a drug seeker, telling me "the time to lay around on the couch and mope was over", and raised her voice to me. None of her assumptions were based on any information gathered from me, my PT, or my work. When I called to discuss this with Dr Holland, the office staff refused to put me through to his line, and I left several messages with the office manager, who took several business days to call me back. In the meantime, I called Swedish patient relations, who had time to call my physician but never me back (this is three weeks ago now). When I had my follow up apt, Dr Holland did not even greet me or shake my hand, simply told me that because I had complained about his nurse, he was canceling my surgery and would no longer see me in the office. He never apologized for how I was treated, the inconvenience of finding a new physician, just repeatedly told me "this is on you, you tied my hands". If they are treating a fellow medical professional this way, how are they treating older, more fragile or slow patients? To be treated as less than human is one thing, to have a physician punish you for speaking up for the right thing is another. Inexcusable.

It is a real pain to schedule an appointment here: even if the problem you have is obviously orthopedic, they still make you go to an urgent care so that they could request and review records. This takes forever and means that your going to be in pain couple of weeks longer.

Relative received care here. Always pleasant.

Had total shoulder replacement here in June 2018. Top notch. Great success. Dr Kirby is awesome.

Eric Christoffersen

I had a chronic and worsening shoulder issue. Pain was so bad that I couldn't sleep on my right side and the pain sometimes brought me to tears. I'd been to three general practitioners, had several mris, xrays, etc and noone could figure out what was wrong. Chris Wahl took about 3 minutes to diagnose my issue, I'd broken my AC joint while in a wrestling competition and it had healed poorly resulting in extra bone growth that displaced my shoulder joint. Within a month I had a mumford procedure performed which ground the collarbone growth back which restored the shoulder position. I am a pretty technical and inquisitive guy who is usually unhappy with medical advice but the entire time with OPA I felt I had a clear idea of what was happening to me, the whys and the risks involved. I especially appreciated the stern surgery prep cleaning instructions I received from Chris' Physician Assistant (who is also his spouse.) My recovery was better than expected, I basically needed no pain meds after the surgery and my shoulder is now fixed! I have never interacted with such professional people and highly recommend Chris and his wife to everyone I know. Thank you so much for the pain reduction! PS: The surgery was in 2017, its 2019 now and shoulder is still 110%.

Excellent care received here from Dr Basamania.

The doctors here are good, the problem you may encounter if you have surgery is the night shift RN Staff. Very rude and would not respond to a call light, even as my wife had a emergency situation. She yelled out for help and she could hear them, so you know they heard here. This issue was explained off as a staffing issue and language barrier. My experience has been foreign Hospital staff seldom have the level of care as the Non immigrant or 2nd generation nursing staff. The day shift personal were excellent. Regarding the other review , pain management, due to the opioid crisis needs set up ahead of time and can be very much a challenge. Most of the surgeons just won’t manage the pain level of an orthopedic surgery, not in the last few years. Sad situation for people who need it and are not going to abuse it.

Please don’t shy away from these Doctors due to a few bad reviews mostly based on front desk and scheduling! The Dr’s are top of class, and the assistants and surgical center staff were professional and friendly. My wife just had bunion surgery Dr Seibert was awesome very kind and professional, nice bed side manor. I’ve had several surgeries from Dr’s in this group, as have friends and family, all of us had excellent experiences with Dr’s! Highly recommend OPA! Be patient with front desk and be direct...if you don’t want to see an intern or PA then say so, you may have to wait longer to get in though.

If your physical therapist is Scott or CJ you can count your self as the unluckiest person in this hospital. They will not give F*** about you or your pain. Most of the pt are careless and not so professional

I was referred here to see Dr. Holland for knee pain that I've had since childhood. I saw Kevan, the PA, who was nice enough, but had nothing to offer that I hadn't already tried, and ordered imaging I've already had done multiple times. I do not see myself returning to this clinic beyond to receive imaging results because the way I was treated by everyone else in the office who I had to interact with was unacceptable. Reception was all rude, patronizing, or both. I may look young, but I'm a medical professional myself who's been chronically ill since birth. Don't talk to me like I'm an idiot. After my fruitless appointment, I was trying to schedule a follow-up for those imaging results. After ten minutes and multiple attempts to talk to someone, despite every front desk being staffed, finally one receptionist tried to help me but somehow couldn't figure out who I was supposed to see or when. I gave up and walked out because I couldn't be late to work. What's the point of having a line specifically for people to schedule follow-up appointments if you're going to ignore them until you've helped everyone who got there later? They said they'll call to schedule whatever appointment I'm supposed to have (I still don't know what that even is at this point), but I'm almost positive I won't hear anything, and at this point I don't care. I've heard Dr. Holland is amazing, but I don't intend to be with this clinic long enough to find out. There's no shortage of orthopedic clinics in Seattle - I'll find another one. Best of luck to anyone with a more serious issue that requires actual care.

Medical staff and surgery were super professional, BUT... be wary of billing. I was prebilled for surgery for the incorrect amount and over paid by over $500. I have been dodged by the billing department for over a month and a half telling me the "check is in the mail" but have not received anything. I have followed up several times with no luck!!

Sally McArthur

I had a knee injury correctly diagnosed by Dr. Lawrence Holland who identified my serious problem as arthritically deteriorated hips. He referred me to Dr. Laura Madsen Ko who practices a less invasive technique and was able to replace both of my hips within 60 days with only 2 overnites total. Dr. Madsen Ko and her team are kind, caring, efficient, easily available and best of all successful. Kudos also to Dr. Lawrence Holland who sent me in the right direction. This group of orthopedic doctors is state of the art.

I love that the staff here actually listens. They are easy to talk to. I like that they break things down into easy to understand terms.

Justin martin

The doctors here are very good as well as their assistants. The front desk people on the other hand are awful. They act like they have something more important to do than check you in and take your paperwork when that’s their whole job. It actually feels like these front desk people think they are superior to you or something. Oh cool man! You have a sweet secretary job at an orthopedic clinic. I bet you are so important with your folders and computers. Whoa, much cool.

Dr.Matsen Ko is the best. She is efficient, kind and funny. Every step of my hip surgery, pre and post, was flawless. A year later my scar is barely visible.

Cathy Johnston

I broke my humerus and went to a local practice in Olympia where I was told I would likely need surgery. I researched and scheduled an appointment at OPA with Dr. Ko. No surgery. Instead a sling, PT and great kindness from all staff. I worked in healthcare for 23+ years so I am very particular. This practice is wonderful: skilled and compassionate.
